Everybody has their own traditions for the 4th. It's supposed to be a celebration of the US's independence from Britain, but most people just shoot off fireworks and eat too much and spend too much time in the sun. I guess every holiday has to have its pointless traditions. xd I usually buy some fireworks, but I couldn't afford it this year. So I bought cake instead. blaugh

Happy 4th of July everyone! Be safe with the fireworks!

Well couldn't afford fireworks so I went digging around and found water bombs and snaps. I set off a few boxes of snaps and then grilled up some steaks and squash, and then boiled some corn. It game out GOOD!

Sat outside for a bit and watches some of my neighbors shoot of their fireworks it was nice. Though sadly the big show my small town use to put up got moved since the town is flooding...so didn't get the really nice stuff this year, but the neighbors did good. Oddly...went quite very early this year.

Anyway all in all a good day!

Canada Day?... *shrug* well, I didn't eat much today... not feeling so well... tomato soup is just about all I can eat atm... but that didn't stop me from watching some illegal fireworks outside. ^_^

My little brother lives in Canada they recently had "Canada Day" which is like our 4th of July it's the birth of their country.

I'm sorry you're not feeling so hot, but hey at least you got to watch some illegal fireworks that's always fun.

lol, yeah, they were launching the ones you go out to the beach front to see fired from ships waaaay out there types. I'm just glad they were like 3-4 blocks away so they wouldn't catch my house on fire. xd

I had pizza, corn on the cob, watermelon, a piece of a small cake that looked like a crabby patty (spongebob reference)

and went outside to watch fireworks untill the smoke made us gag.

LOL, happy 4th everyone.
