Sorry for asking this but I'm curious, what does B.O.B. stand for? Is it some sort of codename or they were just randomly given that name? Please if any of you guys know, let me know.

The name "B.O.B" is a reference to Bungie's Marathon series. In it all of the encountered human characters are known as "B.O.Bs". "B.O.B" is an acronym for "Born on Board", a reference to the characters having been born on the titular colony ship.
