[Office] Prof. Walker's Office

The door to the professor's office is signified by a simple name plate, "Mikael Walker," and rests slightly ajar. You don't recall seeing an office there before, had it been a storage closet before the substitute teacher joined the faculty? The open door is clearly an invitation to enter, but the room's occupant is rather eccentric, and it might be best to proceed with caution. Who knows what you might find in there.

The Scarefari warden's office is small, and dimly lit. The closest piece of furniture to the door is a solid oak desk pushed up against one wall, marred and scratched with age. A rickety wooden chair and a stool sit nearby for office hours. Although it would be hard to use the desk for that purpose with all the maps and parchments cluttering up it's surface, and various tools and gatdgets scattered around. It seems it may even be a fire hazard as it is lit with traditional fire lanterns.

There is, however, a small bin on the corner closest to the door that reads "Assignment Drop".


Homework or Extra Credit:

- There are currently no assignments to be dropped off.

On the wall above the desk, there is a large bulletin board mounted. The professor seems to be using it to track articles in the news, or Scarefari postings, because there are paper and parchment cutouts almost entirely covering it's surface. Looking closer, there are articles about dragon migration habits, diagrams for unconventional spell tags, hazards of cavern exploring, botany, climate, antidotes...

Occasionally an article will be circled in red marker. The last one marked this way is lying crumpled on the desk, the headline reading "Silver Snapdragon Variants Discovered".


Capture Contests:

Adjacent to the bulletin board and desk, mounted on that wall there is a large map drawn on a giant roll of parchment. A geography buff might recognize it as the land contained within the Scarefari bounds, the large stretch of wilderness where the wild equivalent of minipets run rampant. Although it is only inked on, there is a great amount of detail in the natural landmarks. There are no pieces of furniture nearby, allowing room to pace, walk, and examine all areas of the map without having to lean over or around obstacles.

The most noticeable thing about the map are the multicoloured push pins stuck here and there, all across the Scarefari area. The notes they have attached are simpler. Creature names. On some the ink is faded and smudged, others look like they could have been written yesterday. These are... sightings?

The final wall appears to be the only place the professor has left any personal belongings. There is a row of pegs where a heavy cloak occasionally hangs, along with coils of rope, and other trapping implements. There is only a simple cot for sleeping on, and a small trunk sits at it's foot. A couple books rest next to the cot.

Although they sit very still in the flickering lantern light, two little Treasure Treats rest on the bed and watch all 'intruders' with an intense gaze. They look almost... feral, and ready to attack the ankles of any student who enters the room with mischief in their heart or harm in their intent.
