The golden haired Gino Gambino is the son of Johnny K. Gambino and Rosalie. Gino is the sole heir to the Gambino fortune and is expected to one day take on his father's title of "Most Powerful Man in Gaia". He is the half brother of Ian and Louie Von Helson.
Gino's first appearance on Gaia was at The First Gaian Anniversary Ball on February 18, 2004. Users were greeted with Gino's message:
At The Second Gaian Annual Ball in 2004, Gino randomly handed out G Pins to users who attended. Gino was always seen at his father's side, supporting him with his campaign. His expression was sad, like he would rather be somewhere else, but despite Johnny Gambino's obvious neglect of his son's well-being, Gino showed no signs of leaving his father.
In the summer of 2004, Gino was chosen to be one of the competitors in the Gaia Olympics 2k4 hosted by his father, Johnny K. Gambino. Two racers from each Gaia town were to race and swim across Gaia. The first one to make it to the finish line was the winner of the Gaia Olympics and was awarded a medal. Gambino convinced Gino to cheat to uphold the pride of the Gambino family, so Gino took a shortcut at the Durem Reclamation Facility on the way back. Gino still came in last place, while Moira came in first.
During the zombie attack in the Halloween Bash 2k4, Gino and Gambino had somehow managed to escape from being bitten and turning into zombies. Bucho sent a missile to destroy the zombies, but it destroyed Gambino's Mansion along with them. Gino, however, went missing.
Gino was found during the Christmas 2k4 event. Gambino had given up hope on finding Gino, and finding himself alone on the holiday, and attempted to jump to his freezing death in the Durem Reclamation Facility. Before he could jump, Gino found him, so he rejoiced! Not for long though; Gino had lost all his memories.
Things got even more hectic for Gino during The Second Gaian Anniversary Ball when The Von Helson Sisters were introduced, threatening Gambino's status of most powerful man in Gaia. Gambino started causing havoc for the Von Helsons by promoting himself even more, and in retaliation the Von Helsons held Gino hostage. The Von Helson twins told Gambino that he must agree to never come back to Durem (and never attend events hosted by the twins) in order to get Gino back. Gambino agreed and was able to have Gino back. |

A huge turning point in Gino's life was during the April First 2005 event. Gambino was mad with power, reminding Gino of the father he knew, and helping him regain his memories. Just as father and son were about to hug, Gambino was shot by the mysterious sniper. Immediately after, his tower collapsed and fell onto the Von Helsons' mansion in Durem. Gino, Gambino, and the Von Helsons were nowhere to be found.
A few months later, Sasha and Ian were out at the beach collecting seashells when Sasha suddenly spotted Gino, looking much older, washed up on the shore. She quickly took him home and took care of him, all to Ian's dismay. (It was later discovered that this older "Gino" was in fact a merger of Johnny and Gino, both of whom had been injected with the G-virus prior to Halloween 2k4. When Gino leaped off the tower after his father, the virus merged them, creating the older "Gino.")
Gino hosted the Halloween Bash 2k5 at the Gambino Mansion, which had been rebuilt in memory of his father. Gino also had built an underground testing facility where various LabTechs worked on various research, including the elusive Grunny. Before the event was over, the Gambino mansion caught fire while Gino and Sasha were having dinner in the mansion. They tried to escape, but the roof fell. Gino held onto the roof and told Sasha to get out of the mansion. Ian then came and helped Sasha escape.
Shortly after Christmas, a new superhero figure, The Masque appeared on the scene. When interviewed by Cindy Donovinh, he said that his goal was to kiss the one he loved, 'Sasha'. At the 2006 News Years Masquerade, The Masque finally revealed his true identity before kissing her. To few people's surprise, his identity was in fact Gino Gambino!

About a month later during the Valentine's event, Sasha was visiting Ian in the hospital after he was shot. Ian gave Sasha a Diamond Seashell that he had found at the beach. As he gave it to her, Gino was watching them with his own expensive present for Sasha in his hand, and looking very angry.
At The Third Gaian Anniversary Ball, Gino said that his father and LabTech123 were dead. He also confirmed that he was The Masque. Oddly enough, Gino also said that he did not remember who the Von Helsons were. He spent most of the ball looking for Sasha, to no avail.
Much later, on April 1st, as Ian was released from the hospital, Gino challenged him to a duel over Sasha. Gino charged Ian, only to find LabTechX blocking him, who said "I have waited a long time for this." X injected Gino with a syringe filled with something bubbling and green. Gino then gripped LabTech X in his suddenly mutated arm, replying 'I should've destroyed you a long time ago!' and both fell off the cliff. As Gino fell, he let out a terrible cackle and exploded in a flash that blinded the whole map. Gino, like his father, had taken out his enemies with him.
During the events of the "We are not Alone" update, it was revealed that Gino survived the fall, and he and his father are now separate entities once more. One of the most frequently parodied images is Gino, sans pants, hugging his father.
At Halloween 2k7, Gino was once more kidnapped by the Von Helsons, along with Liam. He was told about the dark romance between Johnny and Rosalie, and that Ian and Louie were his brothers. He denied this, claiming it was insane. However, he was relieved to hear he was not related to Marie and Anne Corine Von Helson.
Gino wasn't seen again until the Prom Drama comics were he is seen staying with Liam, who is now stalked by the Von Helson twins for his fantastic biceps. With the prom coming up Liam gives Gino some advice on how to woo Sasha only to fail miserably. (Until later in the unreleased comics, Sasha pities him and dances with him.)
In the Valentines 2009 comic Gino is still hanging out with Liam. In an attempt to find dates both royally screw up (Lance even give Gino a black eye by accident) and end up spending the day with Ian waiting to receive valentine cards from the Gaian users.
