"So why don't you get a boyfriend?" Sarah asked her friend out of the blue, which surprised her friend and brother. There they were, watching The Notebook, and a personal question came up. It wasn't like Sarah to ask questions while watching a movie. She never did it.
"I'll go out when the right boy asks me out," her friend answered honestly, trying not to look at Sarah's brother, the boy she's been crushing on since she was seven. Sarah slouched back in her seat, appearing depressed.
"Well, you should get a boyfriend, and someone you know would care for you. Not some jerk who acts like he does," She said, looking at both her friend and brother. "If I played matchmaker, you two would be together by now."
Both of them looked embarrassed and uncomfortable by now. Her brother spoke up. "Like what you did with Samuel and Jessica? Remember how that ended?" he asked, giving a bit of an irate tone in his voice. Sarah pouted now.
"That was a mistake, but you two are perfect for each other." She said as she made a heart shape with her hand and put it around the two. "Yep, perfect!"
"Sarah, could you please stop it and watch the movie?" Her friend pleaded. Sarah blinked, but nodded and stayed silent for the rest of the movie.
It was sad that Sarah would never be able to see if her friend and brother ever got together.
