 Deep into downtown....
Hidden amongst the warehouses of the Industrial Circle of the inner city.....
There is a dance club.....
Some people never seem to leave, while others....
Don't even know the place exists....
But one man, the dj of this club, is a little different....
He's noticed one girl, visiting over and over again, her brightly colored hair draws his attention time and time again...
She can match his music, and maybe, win his heart.....

James yawned and cracked his neck as he walked into the club, looking around. There weren't too many poeple, but that was too be expected. Only people inside were "VIP". The club didn't officially open for another hour. He walked over to his stand and began to set up when he heard someone call to him. James glanced up to see a cute young blonde walk over to him, biting her lip. One of the girls that came here often - simply to see him, at least that's what he suspected. James flashed her a flirty grin. "Hey cutie." The two had a decent conversation for a few minutes before she was called back to her groups. She moved to him and before James knew what was happening, this girl was making out with him. When she pulled away, she slipped a piece of paper with her number into his hand then left. James watched her leave with a content grin and then turned back to finish preparing.

Quinne slipped into the club, flashing ID to the big guy at the door. He chuckled and nodded, stepping aside for her, she showed him a brilliant smile as she brushed past and walked across the dancefloor. They were still testing some of the lights, and she took a deep breath as the lights flashed across her. The lighting guy followed her for a moment and as the hints of the first music hit, just radio for entertainment until the DJ was done, she danced a little, enjoying the music, and the spotlight that followed her. She smiled up at the booth where she knew they were controlling it, and gave a salute before continuing to the bar, the smile still in place. Her hips continued to move somewhat to the beat as she ordered her drink and waited patiently to get the V.I.P. bracelet locked around her wrist. She leaned over the bar, kissed the bartender on the cheek and smiled at him as he handed her the drink and took her card.

James yawned loudly and picked up the mic. The doors were opened a bit early, so people were beginning to pile in. He put the mic to his mouth and spoke loudly. "Hey you party people! Let's make some noise!!!" Everyone began to cheer and James laughed. "Damn, alright. It's time to have some fun. So girls grab a guy. Guys grab a girl. If you can't find someone, grab yourself. We're gonna have some fun!." Everyone cheered and James put on some good beats. He smirked when he saw three girls staring at him. James loved his job.

Quinne slid off her barstool as the music started and she took up her spot near the center of the dancefloor, guys danced around her, a hand or body brushing her here and there as she lost herself to the music with a soft sigh, her head tilting back into the lights as the strobes flashed overhead. She looked up at the DJ booth, and at the DJ, his headphones on as he moved to the beat as every DJ did. A faint smile crossed her lips and she slipped through the crowd and dropped a twenty in his tip jar before she started moving away..

James looked up from his slight dancing and saw Quinne put the $20 in his jar. He smiled, he'd seen her a few times and playfully winked at her. As she started to walk away, James picked up the mic and spoke once more. "Thank you darling for that. Now, someone needs to buy this pretty lil lady with the red hair a drink. Who's it gonna be?" A few guys lifted their hands and cheered but James laughed. "You guys are my boys!" They laughed and danced as the song faded into the next song.

Quinne got bombed by drink offers as she walked away from the DJ booth, her cheeks flushed red still from the wink he'd given her. She laughed softly as she talked to the occasional person here and there, accepting a drink from one of the guys that finally caught her when she was sitting at the bar. She looked up at the DJ booth and lifted the neon green drink in salute to the DJ, a grin flitting across her lips as she still danced in her seat even.

James smiled and looked at her, lifting his own amber drink to her. He took a sip before setting it down and blasting some more tunes. Seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours. Slowly, his tip jar got fuller and fuller with money. He must have made a grand in a night. James smiled and called over one of the female-workers to him. He whispered something to her and she smiled before walking to the bar. The female-worker walked up to Quinne holding the same neon-green drink she had before. "James was hoping you'd let him buy you a drink." She motioned towards James, the DJ, to illustrate who he was.

Quinne looked up in surprise as the woman spoke to her and then looked from the drink up to James. Chuckling she nodded to the woman. "Tell him... You know what, nevermind, I'll tell him myself." Quinne smiled and tipped the woman generously for bringing her the drink as she took it before she weaved her way through the crowd once more and went up to James' booth. Leaning in to where she knew he'd hear her, she spoke. "Thank you for the drink... How did you know on sight what it was?"

James was setting up a playlist so he could go goof off when she appeared besides him. He smiled at her, "hold on a second", then set the playlist to start. It was a mixture of techno, dubstep, and so much more. Included some rock, a bit of metal. It was a very random playlist. He jumped down from his stand and took her hand, smiling brightly as he led her away from the crowds and towards a door. He pushed the door open and they were suddenly in a narrow hallway with a flight of stairs. He ran up the stairs and burst through another door - the roof. They could still hear the music but not so loud. James shook his hair out and pulled out a packet of cigarettes. "Want one?" He offered her a cigarette then lit his before speaking again. "I'm sorry. I couldn't hear you. What was it you asked?"

Quinne followed him in surprise and when he stopped and lit a cigarette she shook her head, reaching into one of the boots that incased her up to mid-thigh, she pulled out her own pack and lighter. She sat down on nearest surface she found and looked up at him as she lit the cigarette "I wanted to thank you, and ask you how you knew what the drink was on sight.. It's custom, and very few people can figure it out just from sight..."
