Lol, you might get a better response if you explain what the big deal is.

For the record, this bill will required ISPs, search engines, and other internet entities to maintain records of your personal information, including name, address, search history, and anything else they can find. These records will basically be as safely guarded as anything they already keep track of.

Although there is an objective "worse", for the most part, everyone's "worse" is someone else's "good old days." Every generation thinks that the time when they were kids was the best. Nothing's ever as good OR as bad as it seems.
