Who owns the weapon: Yosei Raiken
Where it was found/Who made it: It was forged by Mifune of the Hidden Sound when Yosei asked him to make a weapon that could enhance the boy’s ability to use lightning to his fullest capability.

The Range of the weapon: melee
Weakness: This sword is completely ineffective against any type of wind jutsu. Not only that, but if lightning is currently being focused through the blade and the user is hit by a wind attack, the lightning will quickly surge back into the user and hurt him as if he’d been hit by a C-rank lightning jutsu, as well as the wind attack that hit him. This also stops the lightning from being focused through the blade until it is reactivated.
Description: This katana was forged while being constantly infused with lightning elemental chakra through the entire process. This was done all the way from smelting the metal up to the final engravings. During this process Mifune actually ended up creating a new iron allow which he has named Stormsteel. This makes the blade incredibly conducive to electricity. If the user of this blade can use the Raiton element, then they may expend the chakra of a C-rank jutsu in order to surge electricity through the blade. While in this state the blade is sharper and causes numbness to the area it struck while delivering a strong shock. If the blade scores a hit and the user can manage to hold it in the wound, the opponent will continue to suffer from electric shocks and more severe numbness as time goes on. This new metal is slightly more shiny and reflective than others. The stormsteel is much more resistant to wearing away and does not need to be sharpened or polished nearly as often as a regular sword. It is still breakable of course, only wares down slower.

Yosei watched as Mifune put the finishing touches on his new blade. Excitement welled up inside of him as the weapon smith etched in the final carvings while delivering jolts of electricity into the blade. Finally, Mifune put down his tools and blew the metal shavings off of the stormsteel blade. The forge master smiled as he picked up the new sword and carefully handed it to Yosei. The sound genin took the sword from Mifune and gripped it tightly. His excitement caused him to accidentally release some chakra into the sword several small arcs of lightning appeared along the blade for a few moments. Yosei smiled and thought about how proud this would have made his family if they hadn’t abandoned him. The sound genin gave Mifune a deep bow of respect and thanked him sincerely before turning around and walking off to the training yard.
The sound genin found himself practically running by the time he got there. He could not wait to test out his new sword. Yosei did not have any experience with a sword, this was in fact his first weapon larger than a kunai, but he would give it his best shot. So the sound genin drew his new blade from its sheath and faced the wooden training dummy. He threw a flew rather clumsy slashes at his imaginary opponent and dealt a few shallow gashes into the wood. “Alright let’s see what this thing can really do.” Yosei focused his chakra into the sword and watched in awe as sparks of lightning erupted all along the blade. He raised the stormsteel blade high and sliced downward with all of his might. The smell of searing wood erupted as lightning and metal cut through the wooden dummy. The blade stopped about half way through the dummy. Yosei knew that with some practice he could probably cut all the way through the wood. Satisfied with his new tool, Yosei pulled his blade from the wood and sheathed it on his hip. The young Raiken could not help but smile as he walked away.
