Pinko's Cooking Hour

Hello I'm Pinko Sacredheart and I've decided to start a recipe "show" featuring a few star recipes of friend's, family's, and, my own creation. I will post recipes with a list of ingridients, measurements, directions, and tips. I hope to move to creating actual videos to post here but until then pictures and typing will have to do. So without further adu, here's the recent recipes ^_^

Who doesn't love warm, aromatic pumpkin bread during the holidays or any day for that matter? We make batches of it at home every year, but this time, I found a recipe with a little twist to it.

Ingridients
♠ 3 Cups sugar
♠ 1 Cup vegetable oil
♠ 4 eggs
♠ 2/3 Cup water
♠ 1 (15 ounce) can of pumpkin puree
♠ 2 teaspoons ground ginger
♠ 1 teaspoon ground allspice
♠ 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
♠ 1 teaspoon ground cloves
♠ 3 1/2 Cup all purpose flour
♠ 2 teaspoons baking soda
♠ 1/2 teaspoon salt
♠ 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Directions
♦ Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and lightly grease two 9x5 inch loaf pans
♦ In a large mixing bowl combine the sugar, oil, and eggs; beat until smooth. Add the water and beat until well blended. Stir in pumpkin.
♦ In a medium bowl combine flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda. Add the spices to the dry ingridients as well. The spices tend to stick together in the wet ingridients- no one likes a mouthful of just spice.
♦ Add the dry ingridients to the pumpkin mixture and blend ingridients until just well mixed. Divide the batter between the two pans.
♦ Bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Quick Tip: If you want to make small loaves bake at 325 for 45 mins in small loaf pans. It makes the bread last longer and easier to share too wink

Quick Tip: if you love spice, feel free to double the spices, I myself add double the cinnamon for my pumpkin bread recipe.

Prep Time: 15mins
Cooking Time: 45mins-1hr
Yield: big loaves- 24 servings

Enjoy everyone ^_^

Its that time of the year again. Christmas to me means lots of baking and cooking, here's one of my favorite holiday cookie recipes.

Ingredients
♦ 1 Cup butter
♦ 2 Cups sugar
♦ 2 eggs
♦ 1 Cup buttermilk
♦ (5) 1/2 Cups flour
♦ 1 teaspoon baking soda
♦ 2 teaspoons baking powder
♦ 1 teaspoon nutmeg
♦ 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions
♥ Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl, you can do it by hand or with a mixer.
♥ Add the eggs and mix well.
♥ Combine the dry ingredients then add the dry ingedients to the butter mixture by alternating with the buttermilk. Try to do equal amounts with each alternation.
♥ Refrigerate the dough until still (overnight is the best option)
♥ When dough is stiff, remove from the fridge and roll out on a WELL floured surface. The thickness of the dough can be about 1/2 an inch.
♥ Cut with cookie cutters (christmas ones are adorable)
♥ Sprinkle with sugar before you bake.
♥ Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE

Yield: Depends on size of cookies cut.

Enjoy<3
