Faction: Monster Race: Padfoot - Padfoot:: xxxxxCommon Desc: Creatures with the ability to shapeshift into one of three animals (Dog,donkey & sheep) Or a strange combination of all three, the animal forms are typically white (sometimes black) in color and have glowing eyes.They were stealthy creatures considered to be a warning of death and eerily padded along behind their victims roaring or rattling chains, often scaring the human to death. xxxxxNatural Ability: xxxxxxxxxx • Shapeshifting: Can take the form of a White or black donkey/sheep, dog or a combination of all three. xxxxxxxxxx • Stealth:Capable of creeping up on even the most observant of beings.
The Details
Personality:
Party Animal & Social Butterfly What??! Your joining the Banned-book club? So am I! Zurine takes this aspect of being a monster about as seriously as any monster can. If there is a party going on then she's likely to be there whether she was invited or not. This tends to bleed over into almost any social aspect - if her friends are there then she'll probably show up at some point or another and this tends to bleed into picking her classes and clubs as well - even if they don't particularly suit her.
Decisive, Stubborn & Determined No..I'm pretty sure I'm right...and we'll get it done. Once Zurine has what she considers the right answer in her head (and she decides this pretty often) it's fairly hard to change her mind. It's not that she doesn't value the opinions of others so much as having a strong dislike of changing the plan, as far as she's concerned once a course of action is decided then you should just suck it up and make it work - even if that other way is easier, it wasn't planned.
Cheerful but Spicy Your my friend and I love you..but your really irking me right now Almost like the hot food she - and every other monster in Halloween Town - seems to devour like its going out of style Zirine is cheerfulness incarnate spiced with a hot temper. Her temperamental streak seems to be triggered more through defense of her friends then anything to do with herself however. She's self confident to laugh at herself if someone makes fun of her donkey ears or red eyes...but let someone say a few bad things about one of her friends and you'll be in for an earful. That's not to say her friends don't get on her nerves from time to time, they most certainly do...she's just a bit more polite when telling them so.
Clumsy and Accident Prone. Alright so maybe I"m not perfect... Padfoot's are supposed to be stealthy, they're supposed to use their glowing eyes and eerie sounds to be heard when they want to be heard and all but unseen when stalking their prey. Somewhere Zurine didn't get that memo, if anyone's going to trip over that little crack in the sidewalk or bump into the pole because she's to busy talking or looking at something else - it's Zurine. It's a bit of an embarrassment for her family really and she's a bit self conscious about it though she tries to laugh it off. Everyone is just sort of hoping that she'll outgrow it...
Quirks
Fashionable What..I can wear pink and still be scary... So it might not be the most typical color of favor in Halloween town but whats wrong with being pink and scary? Zurine is pretty sure that she can pull off being both scary and fashionable at the same time. She fully admits to being just a little bit girly - she likes pink, she likes jewelry and she likes accessorizing to match her outfits. When it comes to clothing or hair she's quite obsessed with looking as good as she can at any given time.
Organized Chaos So it's a bit of a mess in here... For someone whose as obsessed with her looks as Zurine you'd think she'd keep her dorm tidy but really who has time for such things when there's parties to be had and friends to be made? Zurines room doesn't quite rte the 'slob' category but I wouldn't ever expect it to be neat either.
Animal Lover Cute and fluffly or slobbering and scary..I love'em all! Perhaps because of her own kinship to the animal kingdom Zurine has a strong love of animals. So your minipet clawed up your favorite pillow? It was probably your fault to begin with. Animals are just never to blame as far as she's concerned..that wild flaming pony from hell tried to bite your arm off? Should have left it alone to begin with!
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Well aside from the obvious reasons - to learn and grow as a monster - there's the social aspect of course. Anyone whose anyone went to the Academy and Zurine isn't about to be left out of that loop. Besides...all her friends are going!

Abilities
Natural Ability:
Y1 Shapeshifting - Zurine can shapeshift at will into a hybridization of her races three forms, For the most part the form looks like a Large white dog however it sports horns as though from a young sheep (still relatively uncurled) and large floppy ears that might be more at home on a donkey with red glowing eyes. Y2 Stealth - Zurine will come into her own and learn some more stealthy moves, up until this point she's a bit clumsy for a Padfoot. Y3 & Beyond- Shapeshifting Improvement - Zurine will learn how to separate her forms and become the full fledged version of the animals.
FEAR Ability:
Sonic Blast As her racial heritage suggests, Zurine is capable of emitting a sonic howl which confuses or stuns an opponent for a few moments. In the beginning her aim and pitch might be a bit off but accuracy and radius (number of opponent affected in years 2 & 3) will increase. (This FEAR would use the Headlights mechanic)
Headlights Known simply as " Headlights," this technique was discovered soon after automobiles were developed in the Human World. When these strange devices were first encountered, the nameless Halloweener was transfixed. What was that bright light coming at them from the darkness? That strange, beep beep sound? After discovering how painful these new horseless carriages were, this technique was developed to instill the same sense of confusion and transfixation that makes a Halloweener forget where they were and what they were doing, effectively making them skip their turn in battle. Year One: 1d4 First Dice: xxxxx 1-3: Miss xxxxx 4: Success! Effect: Opponent skips their next turn; User takes an additional turn.Year Two/Hunter Trainees: 1d4 First Dice: xxxxx 1, 2: Miss xxxxx 3, 4: Success!
