[1 v 1] Rock 'em sock 'em ro-boils (Bul/West)

When West thought of violence therapy, two boils came to mind: Jericho and Bul. He had already fought one of them in the days since he had returned from the haunted house, but after witnessing Jericho's FEAR fumble and having one of his own while fighting Herryk, the demon was ready to set aside his pesky powers for a while. Which brought him to Bul.

Before students had been allowed in the gym for spars, he and the half beast had smacked the s**t out of each other in the fitness club's boxing ring. It was a fond memory and one that needed repeating. It was a lucky thing that Bul seemed to be feeling the same way.

West swept into the gym that afternoon, dressed more appropriately for a fight than he probably ever had been on purpose. He tugged a towel from around his neck and draped it over the bleachers, taking a seat while he waited for his opponent.

Finally, a fight that wouldn't be about his ailing FEAR. Bul was more than pleased when West contacted him about a strictly physical battle where it was all about taking punches. While he did lose their first match he certainly felt he had come a lot closer to victory with West than he did with either of the ghouls he fought (and even Sammy perhaps). Maybe fighting with guys got him going? I see you there Neko.

After receiving the call and/or text to meet in the gym Bul arrived in ship shape and walked up towards West with a grin on his face. "Thanks for this man." Was that too goofy to say to the wrath demon?

"So right... no FEAR, no natural forms, no flying yea?" Bul asked with a raised brow remembering the paintball incident in particular. Not that he'd be upset if West did, he just couldn't promise he wouldn't turn into a lizard either and bite his hands. ;;
Too ready to go for awkward chit chat, Bul held out a fist for a semi-friendly bro-bump and tilted his head for a quiet little pop or two.

West nodded in response to everything from the summary of terms they'd agreed on to the thanks. "Jus' fists," he said with a grin, raising his own to return the bump. He then backed into the center of the room before dropping into a sort of preparatory stance, and waited to see how Bul would begin. He lightly punched his opposite hand, wrapping his fingers around his own fist.

Bul nodded towards the demon and turned around to exmaine the size of the battle-zone. It was a lot bigger than the boxing ring but they didn't really need all of that space anyway for this fight.

"So uh, prolly wanna watch for some of these lines. Since there isn't a rope we'll just have to make believe," he muttered before suddenly turning right around in a highly animated stance, rocking on his heels before whipping his tail to declare the start of the fight.

It was a good idea, marking where they were meant to stay, like a ring. West took a look around, taking note of a couple of landmarks, but when Bul's tail whipped around, the demon's attention was captured again. He was close enough to swipe out at the other boil, and swipe he did. Satisfying.

The spit flew when West's knuckles clacked with Bul's jaws and as much as it would've discouraged him in a battle of Fear this was invigorating and motivated him into a more traditional fighter's pose. The half beast tensed his forearm and returned the chop with an almost uppercut though targeted more at the demon's ribcage rather than his face.

When it made contact Bul could feel the thin spines on his hands tingling numb from the strike, making himself wince even. But it felt GOOD.

West reeled back with the force of Bul's punch, his eyes squeezing shut as a thoroughly embarrassing urking sound came out of his mouth. "Damn," he said, stepping back out of range as best he could. He was going to have to step it up. But not this time.

He pulled back his fist and rocked forward again, aiming a punch at Bul's face but catching it on his shoulder instead, only just missing the spikes.

Bul snuffed the punch off with a grin. This was nice. This was enjoyable and not stressing him in the least. If anything? Bul was feeling a lot more relaxed with West... creepily enough.

The boil tucked in slight and knelt for an attempt at another low shot to the torso.

Another hit, this one thankfully less stun-inducing, slammed into West's torso. He had to step up his game or he was going to go down very early. Too bad his fists hadn't gotten the memo. He too aimed his punch for Bul's torso, but it was a weak one.

Bul oomfed at the hit but sneered pleasantly when it merely encouraged him to hit harder. The half beast started to leap backwards on his toes and was clearly preparing to lift his leg for a kick.

Of course that just threw his timing off enough to leave him very open to attack from the wrath demon.

The attack never came. West stayed back, trying to anticipate Bul's next move and missing the opportunity to strike. Woe.

Even if West missed his opportunity to hit, Bul grew nervous at his sudden hesitation. The demon had to be conserving his strength for a punch that would knock Bul's lights out. That was how it always worked, yea?

"Hey-


Hey-

Hey-" Bul snorted between light flicks, eventually bringing them up to a slightly stronger jab to the arm.

Apparently that was exactly how it worked. West shrugged off Bul's jab and returned the favor by socking him hard in the chin. It occurred to the demon that it was kind of a d**k move, but he was here to win, right? Bul would punch him just as hard, given the chance.

"Hey yerself," he countered wittily.

CRACK! Bul took a nice socking to the jaw that sent him backwards enough to stumble, reaching up to see if it had actually been knocked out of place. He was almost literally asking for it though with such annoying pestering.

"That was no heymaker but Jack it hurt!" he then shouted, grinning like an idiot before pushing himself back up and came hurdling over towards West with a barrage of punches, each one paired with a grunt.

Regularly?" he panted, toes clicking as he moved along the gym floor, still mindful of the boundary they'd set. It was good conditioning for either of them. Beating yourselves to a pulp = training right??

"Yep," West agreed, completely failing to dodge Bul's next punch in the process. He stepped back, shook his head, and frowned. Ow.

"Next time I meet a Hunter I wanna do this t'their faces. Not this really, 'cause... I'm not hitting you at all." The demon raised his hands in a defensive position and waited. "It'd be good t'practice though." That head human guy seemed capable of doing all kinds of nasty things to their FEARs. Not that he thought he could take him with his fists, but West wasn't going to go down without a fight either.
