《 Selena Silvertongue 》| ✾| Partner • of • Adair | ✾| ❖ ❖ ❖  x▀▀ ▀▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀The sun had just pecked the horizon to cast it's light across the land and into every house. As the light poured into the dragon houses that dragon riders and their dragons shared, a young dragon rider was awoke by the sun in her face. She covered her eyes with her hand to block out the sun before slowly sitting up since another day of training with her Master was ahead of her. A yawn escaped her lips as she opened her eyes to see her partner, Adair, laying in a ball not too far from her. The dragon was still asleep which meant Selena had to wake her up which was always a pain. The elves say that no one should wake a sleeping dragon ,but she had to all the time which was something she never looked forward to. She got up to her feet and walked over to the dragon before pushed the dragon's shoulder which woke Adair up. The dragon opened one of her eyes to look at her rider before letting out a puff of smoke. Adair picked her head up before looking down at her rider,"Good morning, little one." Selena was surprised that Adair was in a good mood this morning. She rubbed the side of Adair's neck in a comforting matter which made the dragon purr out like a cat.
The sound of laughter filled the room since Selena always thought it was funny when Adair did this. The dragon was nowhere near like a cat. Adair said she was going out to get breakfast which left Selena to get ready. As she was changing into her outfit which was a female tunic along with her pants. Then she strapped on her sword to her waist which was a smokey grey color just like Adair. Selena grabbed her brushed and ran it threw her hair as she looked out the window to see Ellesmera the city that she was living at. To her west was the training camp that her Master was most likely at since training was going to start soon. With that knowledged, she put her hair brush down before running over to the fruit in her room. She hated that the elves didn't like meat since she missed meat. Maybe she should have went with Adair to go catch a deer.
As she was eating, the sound of wings filled her ears which meant that Adair was back. The dragon flew into the hugh hole in the house before landing which blew a few things around. Selena shot her a look before finishing her meal up since it was time to go. There was no way she was going to be late to training maybe the other rider will but not her. She went over to Adair and climbed into the saddle that was on her back before the dragon went to the edge. Then they took to the air and flew toward the training camp. The air pushed Selena's black hair behind her as she flew which made her frown. Usually she tied her hair up but today she had ran behind which meant it was going to be getting into her hair all the time. After a short flight, Adair landed into the hugh opening which was their training field and tucked in her wings. As Selena dismounted, she looked around for either her master or the other rider,"Master?"

Buliwyf stood silently before a clearing. His student would soon arrive to this location. Leather, bone, metal and fur lined his body in natural looking armor. his face remained hidden in the shadows of his helm. Two bone horns sat upon the top and where bent back. They came from his Sif, his dragon. Originally removed after combat due to injuries suffered but that was ages ago. In a time he wished to forget. He closed his eyes for a moment and tipped his head down. Taking in a deep breath. He felt his body relax if but for a single moments as the fresh air entered into his lungs. It had been far to long since he was last home in the mountains. Memories flooded his mind of him and Sif playing in his youth. This caused a rare things. A smile loosely formed upon his lips for the remainder of the memory. "Love...Love... its time to wake" a voice rang through his mind. "I know" he said in a soft tone before lifting his head up. His eyes soon opened. Shifting about he found a comfortable position to rest as he waited. "They should be hear soon" he muttered.
As if almost on key the sound of his bird entered his ears. Taking a step or two forwards he reached an position where it could land with ease upon his arm. Soon the predator landed gracefully upon his forearm. Looking into its eyes, he new they would be hear soon. How could he speak or understand these creature was a mystery to many and one he refused to share. "Off with you. Return within the hour" he said before it flew off. Sometime past as he merely watched the world around him in peace. Although another being of flight would soon land before him. A women small compared to him did revealed her self and called him by title. Moving from his position he emerged from the woods. "It is good to see you this morning Selena and Adair" he said in a friendly manner. Went it came to his teaching method it was simple enough. Do as told and you would be fine. Otherwise you would have to face his wrath. "How did the two of you rest" he inquired. For now he rested a few feet away from the pair. It become obvious that he was not human. He stood at an impressive height of nine feet, ten inches. His build was bulky, large and strong when compared to other races.
Buliwyf did look to the skies for a single moment. "He will arrive late" he asked. Although it was more of a statement then a mere question. A few thoughts wandered about his mind as he dropped his head down to look at the girl. Young compared to him. Even her dragon was still in its youth when matched against his own. Slowly he followed he moved his hands behind his back and waited for her response. Or the arrival of the other student. Which ever came first.

┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ A bulge stirred beneath the folds of a deep red and gold blanket that gathered against a medium sized dragon's lower stomach. The red dragon himself didn't move from his post other than to shift his yellow membrained wings over the blankets and across the marble. The rays of golden color blasting into the beast's eyes caused it to stir enough and open the matching intelligent eyes. A long, late night dulled the realization they were to be late. The second he did, the dragon was all motion. He stood up rather quickly to stretch and rip back the silk from a bare human form that managed to hold onto his coat to keep in the warmth. He shivered then started curling up again until the coat to was pulled away exposing him to the cool morning air from the wide open window.
"Raph, go back to bed. I have to sleep for more than an hour unlike you," he grumbled until everything put itself together. The late night adventuring, the hunt that still kept his belly fully, and his training. He swore loudly and stood up pulling on all of his clothes while Raphael just stood by the worn, black, and silver armor. A set that Cole personally made for the dragon. The same one that was probably just as loyal to being late as he was to the dragon. The last touch was made for himself by pulling on his rapier, an uncommon weapon for a rider, and his short blades. The red sash was tied around his waist in sort of his marking that Raphael decided that he had to get last time he was in the market.
He raced over to the dragon to gab his gloves and slip them on only to realize that he was late and still had to saddle Rapheal. He swore again with the dragon bearing his fangs at the fact they were going to get scolded by the master again. 'Cole, I suggest you hurry up or ride bareback. Along with that stopping the late night adventures,' Raphael urged standing perfectly still as the saddle was pulled and tightened on with long time experience. When his hand slipped and he cut his finger on one of the buckles, Cole gave up.
"Can you carry this and I'll just stand," he asked getting rather frustraited as he just pulled the saddle off. Raphael smiled the most a dragon could as his rider climbed onto his back in front of his wings already wincing and knowing this was going to be a long day. The red scales lit up in the light once they broke into the sunlight and they were soon high up in the sky. Cole clung onto the scales tightly and was glad that he pulled on his worn gloves. His coat was whipped around and his golden hair whipped itself at his golden brown eyes. It didn't take long for the pair to land hard onto the ground knocking Cole free and landing in a rather uncoordinated way.
He rolled and watched his vision go black from the force and struggle to breath again. Raphael walked to his side and picked him up between his teeth to set him on the ground again. Once coordinated again, the late rider knocked back his hood and smiled weakly in an apologetic manner. "Master," he breathed with a new frown knowing the fact that it probably wouldn't be kind that he looked like he didn't sleep to start with. 《 Selena Silvertongue 》| ✾| Partner • of • Adair | ✾| ❖ ❖ ❖ x▀▀ ▀▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀Selena looked around for her master until he came out from the forest which was no surprise. Politely, she bowed her head at her master as he said good morning to her and Adair,"Good morning Master." Adair bowed her head toward their master who was very tall. The first time the duo had seen their master they were both surprised since they had never seen a human so tall. Selena was only 5 feet and 5 inches tall which was average for a human female ,and she looked so small compared to her master. That never bothered Selena since she was as feisty as a dragon. When the master asked about their rest, Adair spoke up first,"Our rest was good, Master. How did you sleep?" It was always a mystery why their master lived out here and not in town like them and the other rider and his dragon. They never asked since that was personal ,and there was no time to ask foolish question when they need to learn so much.
Out of nowhere, Buliwyf spoke about the other dragon rider being late which made her roll her eyes. She had wanted to see what they were going to learn today ,but their training will most likely be held up because Cole had decided to be late today. Sometimes she thought that he doesn't take being a dragon rider seriously since he doesn't act like it. It was rare for a female to be a rider which was why she had to always prove herself against the other rider. A lot of the times it wasn't that hard to rise above the other. As she stood a bit away from her master, she rubbed Adair's neck in a comforting manner knowing that they will most likely be split up from each other for most of the day. Finally Selena had to ask since it was bothering her,"Master, what are we to learn today?"
Before he could answer her, the sound of wings could be heard not too far from where they were which meant Cole had finally decided to wake up and join them this morning. Adair looked over to see the red dragon coming closer which made her tell Selena since her eye sight wasn't as good as a dragon's. She nodded her head at the dragon before Rapheal landed on the ground and sent Cole flying. Holding back a laugh as Cole landed on the groun and Rapheal had to pick him up and set him up straight. Selena rolled her eyes at Cole when he gave the master an apologetic smile which was going to get him nowhere. Her attention was drawn to their master to see what he was going to do to Cole this time for being late. As she shifted on her feet, her dragon sword shined like Adair's scales in the sun.

Buliwyf heard the voice of Adair within his own mind. "Well enough" he said in return. As of late his rest had been questionable at best. Something merely troubled but he was unable to find out exactly what it was. From their a silence fell between the trio. Their was not much to be said at this time. At least between them. He personal life was that. Personal and nothing more. Although thus far neither of them had inquired into it. Then again he did not have the most approachable appearance. For now he stood there and watched the sky before she asked him a question. Hard to say what would be covered today. Today would mark their third lesson and it was just the beginning for them. His mouth opened slightly. She deserved an answer after all. He would not be able to give her one however. Cole decided to show him self before him. Now he was furious but remained calm on the outside. This boy had been nothing but trouble since day one. A fool who would get him self killed in due time. It did not take long for him to reach the boy.
Extending his hand. He reached out grabbed him by the collar of his clothing. Using the strength behind his figure he lifted the poor boy off the ground bringing him to eye level. His deep blue orbs moved about as he looked him over for a few moments. "Do you wish to die" he asked in a stern tone. "Because I will grant you such a thing" he mentioned. Some would think he was kidding but this was no joke. It was clear that he had not been sleeping among other things. Even hitting his head earlier could cause some serious harm to one's self. "Or do you merely think of this as a game" he inquired before he could speak. One thing was clear. He was upset and that his voice equaled his size. Low and deep, a bit gruff but easy enough to understand if one would listen. With that done and over with he dropped the boy on the ground. It was not that long. Maybe a foot or two. His eyes wandered to the dragon. Lacking a saddle among other things. "Rapheal" he barked to grab the dragons attention. "Why is it you lack a saddle" he inquired. They would each get a ear full to say the least.
Buliwyf felt sad for Selena. She had to deal with this man as much as he did, who only seemed to hold the pair back. However the conditions today would require them to train those that where able in order to maintain their hold on these lands and its people. Tyranny was not an option for the people. "Selena. Do you care to remind the pair why we use saddles. Offer a demonstration as well" he asked in a polite tone as he looked to her. What would the demo consist of? Something he explained on the first day. Landing, take off and a few maneuvers. She was earning his respect rather quickly. Listened well, showed promise. He still had one thing waiting behind him, Sif. His dragon. If he would not get through to them she would. Again thus far he had not introduced them to her. Merely met them at this location and began to teach them. "Cole listen to her and make the preparations for flight" he said as he looked to the man.

┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ The young man barely had time to realize that he was being lifted before he didn't find his feet touching the ground. His hands gripped onto his master's as if it would take some of the uncomfortable pressure off of his body being held up by his neck. Yet, his eyes didn't hold fear, foolish or not, he only brandished a small snarl glaring at his teacher. "Getting food isn't a game. Raphael and I both wanted more than just fruit. I forgot to wake up the both of us like I was to when the sun came up," he said once he landed on the ground being rather bold for being the one in the wrong. Yet, he was careful to leave out everything about how he had been exploring the mountains or how they were nearly spotted by a pair of enemy dragon riders. All this was left out. It might give him more reason why he had over slept to catch less than an hour of sleep. Though it might get him in more trouble for putting his life in danger and another questioning if he thought life was a game.
Raphael felt all the frustratied emotions at Buliwyf including the untrue telling from Cole that it was the rider himself's fault they were late and not the dragon's responsibility to take the fall. When he was questioned though, the dragon was more polite and just pulled back away from the man slightly. His frill pressed down against his neck as if they were a dog's ears when they felt angry. He opened up his claws showing the dark saddle clustered in it. He dropped it on the ground where his rider picked it up.
Both heard what his master said Selena and felt bitter emotions fill up Cole at the fact that he was being showed up by the master's pets. He saddled up Raphael with much more skill than this morning and were ready in a few moments. He swung himself up into the saddle and strapped himself down to it. He let out a loud sigh and pushed his hair back then pulled his hood up to protect himself from the sunlight. "After you," he muttered gripping the lip of the saddle with one hand. ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸

She just leaned against Adair as she watched everything unfold before her since there was no point in stopping the comflict that was happening. Though when Buliwyf picked up Cole by his neck, her eyes widdened since she knew if that was her, she would have struggled against his grip since she would fear to be dropped from him. Cole was taller than her so the drop wasn't much ,but to her it might hurt her even more. Woman were fragile to a point even her. As the master yelled at Cole, she just wanted on with her smirk since she knew that the master was getting tired of Cole's actions. He wasn't the only one since they could get so much more done if they wouldn't have to wait on Cole all the time. Adair looked down at Selena before looking at the other dragon to see that he wasn't happy with his rider at all. Maybe the two should work better together to get things done.
She knew that Adair and her have their differences all the time ,but they had learned that working together got things together. Plus they were one in a sense and hated to be apart. It was like lossing your other half without knowing it until they were gone. When Buliwyf asked for the saddle, she saw Rapheal put the saddle down which was good since at least they have the saddle. Now all they had to do was tie it onto the dragon's back. Though their master's next words caught her by surprise, her eyes showed her surprise before she nodded her head at the master,"Yes Master. I will show him if I have to ,but from the looks of it, Rapheal has brought the saddle for Cole to ride in." She wasn't trying to be rude but there was no point in showing him now that they had the saddle. At least they were going to be flying today which was always fun since they were together and not apart from each other.
When Cole put the saddle on before getting into it, she nodded her head at him before pushing off of Adair and went over to her dragon's side. She climbed up into the saddle before looking over at their master. As she thought about it, she had no idea how he was going to come since she had never seen him with a dragon before. They had never asked if his dragon was live either which made her curious as she looked over at their master and the Cole who she spoke to first,"You remember everything he taught us right? If not, I'll give you a quick run down of everything. Just don't fall off." The she address their master,"Master, we are ready to go when you are."

Buliwyf merely stared at the boy. The game which he spoke of? It was not hunting but riding. Without the saddle he could have fallen mid flight and killed him self. It seemed he was unable to use common sense. "One does not require the whole of the night in order hunt a simple beast. This I know" he said. His eyes looked to Cole for the time being. The dragon also seemed to have a response to him but it reacted in a similar matter to a mutt. At least those could be trained. Right now the pair was not doing well but he would do what he could to prevent them form dying. Selena spoke in his defense in the moments to come. Odd but he would listen to her. "It seems so" he mentioned as he looked to the saddle. At least Raphael seemed to be trying unlike his rider. He waited for the groups to get ready before he explained today's activity to them. Of course he would join them. This would be the first time meeting Sif after all. Moving forwards he stepped between the pair. His eyes wandered from one to the other.
Now it was time for a game. "I assume the both of you are familiar with the game tag" he said. If not he could explain the rules but certain details needed to be made clear before they got started. "Played it as children" he mentioned. "Or so I assume" he added in the moments to come. "For now the rules will be simple. I will whistle and it will start. Striking the others dragon for the purpose of tagging them does count. We must stay within this area. No fancy tricks. Stick with what we have learned. Get used to flying and maneuvering around one another" he said as he looked to each of them. Within the coming moments, he called Sif to them. Slowly the old dragon came over the top of the trees and landed before him. It was sizable. Bigger then most then again it had to be if it was to carry the likes of him.
Buliwyf reached out and touched the side of her face gently. "Its good to see you up and about once more" he thought to her. Sif's scales where dark in color. Soon the two tapped heads in an affectionate manner before he pulled away and mounted her. "Once we are up in the air. We shall get started. Cole you will be it" he said. That was his final instruction right now. Gently he tugged on the reins. Sif lifted her head and took flight a few moments later. It became obvious enough that she had sustained injures. A large scare covered her left side. Went into the wing a little. He knew it might be risky to get her into the air but it was out of her wish and no one else's. Once in the sky he hard her turn in the gentle circle as he waited for his students.

┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ With a new argument against him how he was called out against that it didn't take all night to hunt a deer and that his teacher knew about him not sleeping at all, he knew it was better to drop it. They had lessons to learn today and he didn't feel like arguing now. He would already be getting plenty of wrath from the half-giant when this was all done for. The fact that he wouldn't be going easy on him today was predicted as well since this was the third day of three that he was late and showed up not looking like he slept much and hiding cuts under his coat.
"Ready when you are, Raphael," Cole said with a new smile while stroking the dragons black striped scales. He looked over at Selena hearing her comment about not falling off and sighed shaking his head. As if he would. While Raph and Cole were never on time, they certianally knew what to do for aerial acrobatics. Even that was dampened when he heard his master's instructions to keep it simple, there was no way he was going to if what it took to fly were some quick dives and rolls to escape Adair's touch or to catch her; then that was what they would do.
"You better hold on tighter then the first time around. I'm not going easy on you just because you are tired," Raphael teased tensing up and waiting for the instruction to take off. "Don't think I'll be easy on you either just because you are eight times my size. Lets have at least some fun with this," he retorted with a smile again. As soon as he could, he tightened up his haunches and launched into the air not spreading his wings until there was enough room between the ground and himself. He flew in a large arc to avoid the older dragon giving her space, but then they just coasted waiting on Selena and Adair for the games to start. Then he would beat her finally in something. It wasn't in desire to be noticed more as a useful to his master, but show up more Selena. ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸

《 Selena Silvertongue 》| ✾| Partner • of • Adair | ✾| ❖ ❖ ❖ x▀▀ ▀▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀When the master was fine with her not lecturing Cole over how to take off into the air and land, a soft sigh escaped her lips before she got onto Adair and sat there. Soon a hugh dragon came into view which could only mean that it was Buliwyf's dragon and Adair looked like a baby dragon compared to her. The Master spoke about tag which was something she knew how to do. Even though she was an orphan, she use to play tag with the other kids that were with their parents on the streets. The game brought back old memories that she had long buried away from her thoughts ,but now they were up and front in her mind as she was on Adair. Adair looked back at her with concern ,but Selena just shook her head at her dragon,"I'm fine Adair. There is nothing to worry about. Let's just plan on how to evode the bigger dragons. Your faster than they are which we will use against them."
Adair let out a hugh puff of smoke before she nodded her head at her rider since she was smaller and faster than the others. As Sif came out, they took notice of her injury which will most likely slow her down. That was something they could use against her when one of them were it or running away. Well more like flying away. Once their Master took into the air, Cole followed with Rapheal which made her wait for a moment since the two had to level out before another joined them. Adair tucked her her wings before pushing off of the ground and took to the air above the trees. Then she spread her wings and beated them to get some height since she had to be at the same level as the others. The rules were simple which meant no fancy tricks which was going to be interesting though she had a feeling that Cole will break the rules to catch one of them. She nodded her head at their master,"Yes Master." They were going to play by the rules unless they have to break them because of Cole.
When the Master said that Cole was it, the girls know that this was going to be interesting. Before anything started, Adair was so happy that she let out a loud roar from her muzzle. Selena smiled at her dragon before petting her neck,'Adair, Lets go." Adair knew that they were going to have to stay within the area ,but it would be start to put distance between them and the other dragons. They flew with the wind like they were taught to get away from Buliwyf and mostly Cole. Little did they know what was going on outside of the elf barriers that was placed around the forest. Two evil dragon riders were plotting how to take down the other riders. They had more helpers than anyone would think which was their advantage. They planned to take down a few more riders before going after the Rider's house. All they didn't was more power to do this ,so everyone was off to take out Rider's no matter the size.

┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ ┰ Cole glided gently until Adair was off. Raphael dove fast to pick up speed then sling shot himself up into the air after her. The rider laid as flat as he could against the dragon's body while he raced after her. Sure, she was smaller and could rely more on the fact she was faster, but he was sure he was more acrobatic as they had spent plenty of time flying. He stood up in the saddle slightly as he bolted after her getting rather close to touching her tail. Cole leaned forward in the saddle slightly but was kept from reaching her by the safety restraints. He snarled and wanted to unbuckle it, but the master already had it after him. The last thing he needed to do was to have him find out he undid the safety buckles. ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸ ┸

The two flung toward them which made Adair fly away and bank right to make it a bit tricker to catch them. This was a game of cat and mouse ,and at the moment, they were the mouse since Cole and Rapheal were trying to get Adair and her. As Rapheal and Cole got near to her tail, Adair let out a frustrated growl before Selena hushed her since the rider had a plan up her sleeve. Since Adair was smaller, she could fly lower to the tree while it was harder for Rapheal to do so. If they had to, they would dive into the forest to escape since the master had said nothing against that. Adair dove down and passed Rapheal ,and they were just out of reach for Cole to get them. She looked like a bomb as she dropped and then straighted out her wings. Selena sat ready for an attack since Cole was going to come after her soon.
