Who am I? Why am I here?

"I gave it up for a dream... a dream of something more from this life, but is it truly out there... or did I give up forever for nothing?"

Give is a wanderer, always searching for the something more that she felt was promised her from her first waking thoughts. She can be very up and down personality wise, at times full of frantic energy in her search and other times overcome by depression at not having found what she's looking for. Like most though she is usually somewhere in between.

Give has calmed down a bit since meeting her siblings and having children of her own. She feels she's found a great deal of what she'd been looking for in her life, but there is still that nagging feeling that there is something more for her.



What's in a name....

Tired and fading, two paths stood before her, a choice to be made.
The differences were so subtle upon first glance.
But in the distance one twisted and turned casting shadows of the unknown.
The other ran straight and true lit by dawn, a promising path of forever unchanging.
She took a step towards the light but the twisting path beckoned.
The unknown shadows were frightening and yet held a promise of something more.
Drawn to that promise she turned from the forever path and to the twisting path.
That path would reveal itself along the way, the journey of life.

Name: Swallowed Light

He's a frog, found and befriended by Give. She had been following a firefly and had lost track of it only to find this frog looking like he'd swallowed something bright. A moment of panic before Give spotted the firefly and realized it was just the frogs interesting coloration.

Who am I? Why am I here?

Beautifully Broken is a gentle artistic soul. She spends a lot of her time exploring, finding beauty in the most unusual places. Her artistic side expresses itself in the creation of works of art out of broken things, mosaics of rock shards, bark, flower petals, whatever she finds. Beauty knows that her works are temporary, but that makes them all the more precious to her.

Who am I? Why am I here?

Bleed has ... issues....

From his first moments Bleed has had a very curious reaction to the sight of blood flowing, especially when blending with water. The sight produces in him a trance state where he sees the patterns forming in the flow revealing hints of the past and sometimes the future. Whether this is true augery or some form of maddness the poor buck may never know. So far he's traveled alone and memory of these visions fades a few minutes after he breaks from the trance.
He tends to avoid hunting and the scent of blood is often enough to send him into a panic.
There are rare times when feeling lost or alone that Bleed will seek out a vision using his own blood as the trigger. Usually these visions are enough to give him a sense of the direction he should take and he is able to move on with a tempory sense of renewed confidence.

What's in a name....

A pool of water, clear and cool.
A drop of red falls producing the barest of ripples.
Visions of past, present and future revealed in red swirls, forming patterns that speak to him alone, pulling him under.

Who am I? Why am I here?
Light Our Darkest Hour is a very conflicted buck. His dream left him feeling like he was meant for leadership and greatness. For most this would give them great confidence not so for this buck. Outwardly he does project a great deal of confidence, capable of being quite cocky at times, but inside he's afraid of being forced into a leadership role and being responsible for others. It's hard enough worrying about himself let alone a group...

Though he enjoys company and close friends, he never shares his full name choosing to go by the much more vague (and less full of expectations) Darkest Hour.

What's in a name....

Darkness surrounds him and voices call out for help. Fear surrounds him and yet he carries forward. A glow begins to form around him growing brighter with every step, his confidence grows with the light. Others drawn to the light begin to follow him. He can feel their gratitude and growing strength as the light dispells their fears. They couldn't do it without him; he is their leader lighting their darkest hour ... guiding them home...
