Russia, a leading nation in ensuring and protecting human rights, is about to be faced with a peice of legistlation that would make it illegal for the LGBT community in St. Petersburg (and quite possibly Moscow and all the rest of Russia) to have their basic human rights of assembly and free speech.
This also branches into making it illegal to write a book or publish articles about anything LGBT. Even handing out street pamplets would be illegal.
AllOut.org is an international site that spreads the word of unlawful bans and legistlation to people around the world, and organizes counter petitions to try and get international support rallying AGAINST these unfair laws.
