advice would have to be lessen the number codes down to 1 (star codes dont count) or two if you must, if you look at mine its all F and T codes making it easier to use alot more chips.

Yes, I'm aware. It's (sadly) one of my best PAs. Altjough I thank you for your advice and will get to work on it. It's gonna be hard though, cause all the good chips are diffrent codes. Thanks again!

yes lessen the codes because with one or two codes u can cycle though alot of chips instead of just using one and then haveing to go a round with your buster (witch really sucks if your not silver FCR) and also it allows you more combination of attacks. o yeah the best kind of chips are non-flinching chips (flinching- makes enemy fade in and out) they are good for quick and powerfull dmg.

You may think the Megabuster sux but if not for that Mega would have been deleted long ago.I use chips that fade my enemy out(flinch is what the vulcans do)because I usually add a soul to it to murder them in a combo.

ouch alphabet soup lol

here is something to help

--------------------------------------
LESSON 1: SOUL UNISONS [SOUL]
--------------------------------------

Soul unisons have returned in Mega Man Battle Network 5. They still work the
same way as in Mega Man Battle Network 4, which means you still have to sacrifice
a chip of the right type to perform a soul unison. There are restrictions, though,
on this feature.

RESTRICTIONS:

- A soul unison only lasts for three turns. This time can be increased with
Soul Time +1 programs installed in your Navi Customizer.

- You cannot perform a soul unison with the same navi twice in one battle.

- You cannot perform a soul unison with a regular chip. I know, it sucks, but
it's fair.

A soul unison allows you to use the abilities of a navi on your team, provided
you sacrificed the correct chip.

LESSON 2: CHAOS UNISONS [CHAOS]
--------------------------------------

A new feature to Rock Man EXE 5 is chaos unison. Similar to soul unisons, a
chaos unison has very similar restrictions to that of a normal soul unison, with
a few differences.

RESTRICTIONS:

- A chaos unison only lasts for one turn. This time cannot be increased with
Soul Time +1 programs.

- You cannot perform a chaos unison with the same navi twice in one battle. However,
you may still perform a regular soul unison with the same navi after a chaos
unison, provided you have not already performed a regular unison with the navi.

- A chaos unison CANNOT be performed before the fourth liberation mission.

In order to perform a chaos unison, you must sacrifice a specific dark chip.

The charged shot of a chaos unison has the same effect as the dark chip
used to perform the chaos unison. However, in order to successfully perform
a charged buster shot, you must release the B button when the circle that indicates
you are charging your buster is PURPLE. If you release it when it is blue, you
will lose the chaos unison, and MegaMan DS will join your opponents and attack
you for a short period of time (note that he is invincible, but will disappear
after a minute or two or when you have deleted the virus[es] or navi you are
battling).

---------------------------------------------
LESSON 3: FOLDER RESTRICTIONS [STOP]
---------------------------------------------

Unfortunately, there are restrictions on folders in this game, meaning you can't
put 30 of the same chip together and call it a folder.

RESTRICTIONS:

- You can only use four of the same chip in your folder.

- You can only use 5 Mega Chips in your folder, and each one must be different
from each other (example: you can't put two ShadeMan chips in your folder, but
you can put a ShadeMan and ShadeMan SP chip in your folder).

- You can only use one Giga Chip in your folder.

- You can only use three Dark Chips in your folder, and each one must be different
from each other.

- You can only use one copy of a program advance (P.A.) in one battle.

- You MUST have thirty chips in your folder at all times.

Also, you may only select from FIVE chips in the custom window. This number can
be modified with Custom + Navi Customizer programs (NCPs). Note that with Number
Soul or Chaos Number Soul, you get to select from ten chips in the custom window.
Be warned, though, that you can only choose five chips per turn to use. Also,
other navis on your team that you control during liberation missions (or the main
navi you control from the third liberation mission to the end of the fourth one)
are NOT affected by programs you have in the Navi Customizer, but they can use
a special navi chip of their own one time during a battle.

----------------------------------------------
LESSON 4: CHOOSING YOUR THEME [STRATEGY]
----------------------------------------------

As with folders from previous games, the one thing that is essential for a kick a**
folder is a theme (aka strategy). There are many different strategies possible,
but you need to keep in mind the folder restrictions mentioned in the previous
section. Folders without a strategy don't do as well as folders with one. Some
of the most common folder themes in this game are revolve around swords. Of course,
there are other strategies out there that don't use swords. When selecting your
folder's theme, keep in mind that most of the chips in this game cause flinching
(aka navis flash after being hit), but there are some that don't, such as AirHockey.

-----------------------------------------
LESSON 5: SUPPORT CHIPS [ASSIST]
-----------------------------------------

While a strategy is one of the most important aspects of a folder, you can't always
win a netbattle with just the main part of your folder. Support chips help you
optimize your theme and enhance the overall power of a folder. Here are a few
things to keep in mind while choosing support chips.

- Good support chips don't hurt the fluidity of the folder. Fluidity is how well
chips in your folder work together. Some support chips help the fluidity of a
folder, while some support chips hurt the fluidity.

- Good support chips generally come in the same code as your folder. If you can't
find good support chips in the same code as your folder, you have one other option
before deciding to work with a different strategy in a different code, and that is
looking for support chips in the * code.

- Good support chips can provide a good source of backup damage. If your main
strategy fails, you'll be relying on your MegaBuster unless you have support chips
that can help you out by damaging the opponent.

Don't just look at standard, mega, and giga chips for support. Dark chips can
also provide some good support (ie. DarkInvis for Chaos Shadow Soul and DarkPlus
for Chaos Number Soul).

Support chips that are good for almost every folder are FstGauge * (only useful
if you preset it), Areagrab *, and FullCust *.

-----------------------------------------------
LESSON 6: DEFENSIVE CHIPS [GUARD]
-----------------------------------------------

We're almost done with your folder! After you get your strategy and support
chips in your folder, there's one last aspect left. A folder without defenses
isn't good. You never know when you'll be locked down and wind up getting hit
with an extremely powerful attack. Keep at least one type of reliable defense
in your folder. If you spend some time at the chip traders, you're bound to get
at least one or two Invisibl * chips, which are very reliable, as you can only
be hit with certain attacks that have the ability to hit opponents that can't be
seen. Another good chip to consider is BubblWrap (People who have played Battle
Network 2 should remember this great chip. However, Capcom made it possible to
only get it in the Y code. -_-), as it regenerates after you're attacked, unless
you get hit with an electric attack.

-----------------------------------------
FOLDER CHECKLIST [CHECK]
-----------------------------------------

1. Do you have defense chips?

If you don't, add them. Plain and simple. Don't keep more than 3 different
types, though, unless your folder is meant to be a stall folder to monopolize
with one deadly combo.

2. Do you have good support chips?

Having a theme to your folder and having good defense chips doesn't mean your
folder is good. Support chips play a huge role in building a good folder. If
your folder is built around multi-hit program advances or combos, then chances
are you'll want to add in some Atk+10 chips (to help maximize your damage potential.
Support chips also tend to provide a good source or backup damage in the event
that your main strategy fails (ie. VarSwrd chips in a Snake folder).

3. Is your folder in a single code?

Two codes (NOTE: the * code is not included in code counting) is the maximum that a good folder should have. One code should be your main goal.

If you answered yes to all three of these questions, then you're good to go.
However, if you answered no to any of these questions, go back and take another
look at your folder.
