The white haired shinobi appeared before his opponent, well prepared to face him in combat, and eager to find a good challenge. Upon entering the tournament, the shinobi felt oddly strong, and though he made little of it, it gave him confidence in the fight to come. I think I'll stick to more basic tactics at first, but as we progress I'll tweek it here and there for perfection. Korumo thought to himself, a smirk arising beneath the cowl of his hood.
Standing nearly thirty feet away from the shinobi who opposed his acension to the next match, he called out to him.
"I believe the pawns move first." He taunted, having felt excited in the first fight he had participated in for a while.

As he waited for the moment, his opponent taking a clear stance for taijutsu, the shinobi figured that his initial taunt had failed to raise any spark to ignite the fight as quickly as he had hoped. This appeared to be a more disciplined and patient opponent than he had once faced before in his numerous encounters, thus he knew too well that he was standing before someone who could think things out in a battle, rather than just playing their best cards and praying for a easy victory. Still, the first motion was made, and regardless of it's lack in advancement, even then he had learned something new about his opponent.
He was facing someone who was confident in their taijutsu, someone who set themselves to a short range style regardless of the distance currently between them. Although this told him that the enemy before him must exceed in physical arts, it did not give him confidence that the shinobi was without other tricks. Korumo set his hands into motion, a blur of signs to perform one cast after another. In the end, the shinobi had taken only a moment to cast two techniques. The first was preparatory, a fireproof technique which would allow him to avoid any unexpected explosive difficulties. The second however was one of his own unique inventions. Before him there now stood 3 clones, each wielding only the blades that protruded from each of their gauntlets...but as they moved forward, something interesting began.
The cloning technique created light clones with unique regenerative qualities, allowing them to be difficult opponents but not carry heavy weapons. It also enabled him to give a single clone the amount of chakra it would take to create on more genin rank ninjutsu before it dissipated. Due to the fact that the technique itself was a genin rank ninjutsu, the clone dissipated only to be replaced by three more clones, one of which also held enough chakra to perform a genin rank jutsu. This chain of cloning eventually lead to upwards of 40 light clones wielding a pair of gauntlet blades, one among them holding enough chakra to become a set of three clones, and one among them being the original...and with that, the assassin began his advance...with forty shinobi.
Diving in with separate waves, each set of clones struck out with the sharp blades protruding from their arms, striking towards their newest opponent from all directions.
785/800 Chakra Points remaining
