 Francesca had named the palace after a historical figure she idolized decorating in an ancient Egyptian them added and edge of the exotic. Which considering how antiquities were all the rage brought in the more refined people. Then there were floor shows of 'historical' dances and poetry 'from the time'. For the modern side diva's from Europe's greatest opera houses. This was a place for the classy to see and be seen. But, to Francesca it was more than that it was a push away from her family and a golden cash cow of an investment for her own independence...one might say a kingdom of her own.

 Francesca Gattarini Sitting in her corner booth that had been as always reserved for her alone. Not a hard thing to do since this is the was her place. It was a quiet afternoon and the workers were doing the last touches of cleaning. It would be a good night she had a new singer and some professional dancers to go with her. The club was raking it in, father should be impressed.

 Daniele scooted into the booth opposite of Francesca, "How is business looking?" he asked. He had been out of state working on some of his connections. He was one of the reasons the booze was always flowing. Gattarini had it coming in from here and from her/his connection in New York and of course from his friends in New Orleans. They had a big supply and not many law problems as most men were easy to corrupt. Daniele also wanted to introduce Alessandro to Francesca as well. The young man had a good head on his shoulders. Daniele had the young turk by his sides at all times. Not only for protection, but so the man could learn how business worked for made guys. He of course still had a lot to learn, but so did everyone trying to make it, but in the end the benefits were worth it.

Francesca Gattarini Francesca shook her head and lit a cigarillo. "Well, enough for now, but I need more muscle both for enlarging my territory and for literally moving things. Most boys just want to be in charge no one is willing to put in the work. Seems they all want the glam, and the press of the high lighters but aren't willing to do what it really takes to get there." Finishing her sad statement she snapped her fingers summoning a waitress and ordering a glass of water. "You want anything?"

Daniele snorted, "I got a guy who could help. He is used to doing those kind of things, but he is ambitious. He is a hard worker and pretty smart kid. I could bring him by later during the night hours if that is fine." he let that sink in and reclined in his seat abit. Francesca called for a waitress, "Straight scotch will be fine. Don't see why some people water down fine booze with ice." he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a fat cigar and lit it with his own brand of matches. Well he muscled over the previous owners so technically the brand was now his.

Francesca Gattarini "That sounds good enough to me." As the waitress scampered off to get their drinks. "You usually aren't so quick to jump to the aid of another, so what changed your mind. He one of yours?" Francesca gave him an evil smirk.

Daniele smiled, "Yes, he is with me. He reminds me of myself when I was up and coming." The waitress came back with the drinks and Danieleturned and blew a large cloud of smoke in her. It was an accident, but he didn't apologize. He would just leave an above average tip. He took a sip of his drink, "Glad she poured the good stuff, I needed some of that."

Francesca Gattarini "No, dear heart I meant is the boy your son, since you speak so well of him." She said as she took a sip of her water. She never was one to hold for propriety she said and did what she wanted when she wanted, and woe be unto anyone who dared to stop her. "I have heard your reputation and it would not be in the least bit surprising that you should have one." Francesca added tauntingly as she blew some smoke rings at smiled at him from the corner of her eye. He was the same as all the other men she knew, live for fun.

 Furio was sitting at his usual spot in the club. He was early as usual it came with the age. But, the night shift was about to start and he was waiting for his lovely young niece to appear any moment. He hopped up and walked over to the bar and around the counter. He was rather lively for his age, which surprised most and he liked it that way. He grabbed a bottle of scotch and a glass then opened a small box next to the counter and grabbed one of Francesca's cuban cigars and went back to his spot and poured himself a drink. Took a small sip then bit the end off the cigar and lit it taking a few puffs to get it going and now he was in heaven.

Francesca arrived in time to see her uncle 'burgle' the bar. as she approached she raised an eyebrow. "you know I do pay the waitstaff around here for a reason." Her voice bordered on laughter as she took a seat across from him, and waited for him to reply while trying not to smirk.

Francesca cracked a smile "I am fine, business is doing well, and dad is staying in New York." She said as she lit a cigarillo. "What more could a girl ask for......" She added after she took her first drag...."Oh and uncle, I can always have one of the young bucks here attend you. I will tell them I consider it a personal favor so they follow you around like a heel hound." Her tone was playful even though she spoke it as a threat, Even though he was getting on in age he could still take care of himself for now.

Furio nodded to the comments on business and his brother,"I don't need a clumsy useless s**t for brains thug following me all day. I got enough problems with the lounging and the eating and the drinking and the goomahs. My life is hard enough without some Jamook around."He let out a good chuckle," Can my little Francesca get her poor ole uncle gabbagool?" he asked with an innocent face.

Francesca Gattarini Francesca leaned forward "I thought you weren't soo old." She said triumphantly. As she looked at the man who had been like a second father to her when she was a little hellion. The only thing that changed was that's he got a little taller, and filled out her dresses better. Even as she smirked at her uncle she snapped her fingers for a waitress.

Furio put his hands up in surrender,"Agh you caught me. I Can't put the poor mouth on when your around." he joked. The waitress came to the table,"I would like a plate of rigatoni." he took the waitresses hand and gave it a kiss. "The name is Carmela isn't it?" he asked, but didn't let her reply. "I have noticed you in here a few times and I must say you are a lovely young woman. When you get off tonight how about I give you a ride home?" he asked smiling. He knew she wouldn't say no, in fact she wouldn't take the risk of upsetting him. He also knew he would be having fun at her house. She told him she was fine with that. But, he picked up on her reluctance and let her go give his order to the cook. "Well as I wait for my food do you have anything that could use some old timer wisdom?"
