Menoetius gave a sigh as he sat in the house, drinking vodka from the bottle as he simply glared at the middle of the room. there was nothing really special about where he was glaring, it was just as rotted and un-cared for as the rest of the building. just as moldy, just as disgusting, just as putrid. but slowly, shadows pulled to the spot, forming the figure of a sleeping boy. setting down his drink, the man stood and walked over, giving him a hard kick to the stomach to wake him up.

~i'm to lazy to type all this, but lots of beatings and blood and owies~

hours later, Xaene lay on the floor, several cuts across his chest and stomach, a few on his face, and bruises slowly forming everywhere. blood seeped out of him like water from a fissure as he lay there, unable to move without hurting himself more.

A panting and frantic Dominick ran into the house, searching high and low until he finally found Xaene...his Xaene...Rushing to his side, the heir wrapped his arms around the man and held him to his chest, sobbing. "Xaene, Xaene, please! Can you hear me?"

Barely awake, xaene managed to crack a week smile. "d-Dom...." he whispered, his voice cracking.
A rush of wind followed as iris and snow entered, hurrying over with a med kit in hand. "we were right...." they frowned, already starting to patch him up.
"Menoetius did this, didn't he?" Iris asked as she cleaned his cuts, her frown only deepening when she spotted the slight nod from her friend.

He clenched his fists, his hands trembling. "I'll kill him," he said dangerously. "I'll kill him!"  

[Pure T0rture]

"d-Dom..." he frowned, wanting his love to stay with him for the moment.
"why don't you wait until xaene's back at the safehouse? Atleast there, he can be kept under watch of the handful of doctors that come and go." iris muttered, working quickly as snow started to heal his cuts.

"Alright," he sighed, leaning his head down to kiss his fiancé. "I'm so sorry, Xaene...I should have kept watch on you."

Kissing him back, the dragon shook his head the slightest. "n-not your fault"

"I am your other half, Xaene. I alone am responsible for your safety, as you are mine." Caressing his cheeks, Dominick continued to let the tear fall dowm his cheeks. "I love you. I have to be able to take care of you."

"n-not on your own..." he muttered, reaching a shaky hand up to dry his tears.

"Please, don't make this more difficult that it needs to be," he managed to choke out. "I can't protect you here, Xaene...we need to leave."

"a-alright...." he nodded, his eyes halfway closed. "s-so tired..."

Lifting the man, Dominick started for the Safehouse. "Don't go to sleep," begged the heir.

"i-i'll try..." he nodded, clinging to his fiance's shirt.
