I sleep. I sleep so soundly. No on makes a sound.
I am small, eyes fluttering to the bright moon I wake. There is noise, so much noise.
It bellowed in my ears.
It came suddenly. Small at first, like me, then grew and roared.

I ran. I ran so fast that my limbs grew tired. But the noise persisted.
I spoke, but no sound. I couldn't hear myself.
I spoke louder, the noise swallowed my words and grew louder.
I cried out to the noise.
It kept going. On and on as I pleaded for it to stop.
I was never heard.
