(Seeker's dream runs concurrently with events that happened outside his sac.)

Peaceful colors occasionally covered by serene shadows flit through a quiet dream. A nameless young kimeti stretches his dream body and sighs contentedly. Another shadow falls, but something is different about this one. It's menacing. The dream changes. The colors turn dark and threatening, and screams erupt from all around the young kimeti, and even though he can't see them he knows that they're coming from his brothers and sisters. He tries to move, but he can't. It's not fear he's paralyzed with, but no matter how he fights, his tiny young body just can't move. Suddenly, his dream world is ripped open, a bright light and harsh smells flooding his senses. A sharp pain on his cheek accompanies the pain from his overloaded senses. He tumbles from his torn sac, a figure lumbering away in the distance, its hunger sated. As he huddled near the two sacs undamaged enough for the kimeti within to survive, he heard the voice of the MotherFather echo through his head. "You are The Boy Who Lived."

A negligent mother leaves her sacs alone for days on end, choosing to wander off instead of protecting them from danger. On one such stint, a wolf found her clutch and devoured three of the kimeti hidden in their sacs, tearing open a fourth before deciding that it was full. The mother returned to find a small black foal huddled near two undamaged sacs, looking determined to protect them despite his blind, weak body.
