Hello! Thanks for stopping by! First off, I gotta say that this game is AMAZING! I just wish I could get my damn modem working so I can host a server with my friends D: I have tried pretty much almost everything at this point and I'm just STUCK I've used the following links to help me out Open Port Check Tool and portforward.comI know the server number is 25565, I've memorized it My port is closed according to the first website so I tried forwarding my port through the modem settings with my ISP's instructions hereJust fyi, I know nothing about networking I currently have att uverse internet and my modem is a 2Wire 3600HGV the second thing I've tried is hamachi and followed all the instructions on this video and it still didn't work please help me crying thank you! also, please quote me >.< [quote="mimiru_002"][/quote]

Maybe the problem isn't your internet but your computer itself, have you tried to join a different server with and without hamachi?
If i can join but you can't host, then there is something blocking Minecraft,
how about trying to deactivate your anti-virus?

I have joined a different server before it was a random one my friend said that I needed to do it to be able to play single player mode? I forgot now sweatdrop

I forgot now sweatdrop You don't need to join a server, or have internet to be able to play single player, try to disable your antivirus, and if you are using windows (Any version) allow the minecraft server on your firewall, sometimes windows decided to block it.

here is a fast a fast tutorial i made btw my Computer was bought in France so its in French but i can translate for you if you need it. ( even if all you have to do is just follow the pictures ) Step 1Step 2Step 3Step 4Step 5Step 6Step 7This is how you set your firewall to allow minecraft to set up a server. And i don't think that it is your moden's fault, maybe its windows being dumb and blocking it.

D: so your firewall service is off and you can't host a minecraft server, =/ then that can maybe be your computer's issue but still, here are the detailed steps and translation Step 1: Start menu -> Control panel Step 2: on the upper right corner pick small icons ( or something similliar) Step 3: Pick windows firewall. Step 4: Pick allow a software on windows firewall ( or something like that ) Step 5: Pick modify settings ( follow the step 5 picture ) Step 6: Pick allow another software -> search/browse -> pick the minecraft server file and press ok Step 7: Place a check mark on private network and public. Also i think that vista and 7 are nearly identical, i had vista and followed a similar tutorial, if you still don't have any success tell me and ill try to find one other solution. EDIT: If your firewall was off this whole time, consider yourself lucky that you don't have a virus chilling around on your computer.
