『 ☁ Impulsive 』Extremely impatient and impulsive, Kanon tends to act before thinking. She's not a hot-headed person, but she does have a sharp tongue and quick temper. Unfortunately, it's because of that quick temper that she gets landed in bad situations. She's often reckless and careless, without thinking about the consequences of her actions. Her unhesitating bluntness can often be very offensive, and Kanon is usually remorseless about it. If she does get into a heated argument, she'll feel guilty about it afterwards. She gets irritated easily, however. Her impatience makes it hard for Kanon to put up with air-headed idiots that can't understand what she's trying to say. She also does prefer to fight it out rather than peacefully settle the argument. Kanon's also very sarcastic. You've been warned.
『 ☁ Stubborn 』Kanon is very stubborn. Very, very stubborn. She won't admit it's her fault, and you'll get a grudging apology in reply if she does decide to take responsiblity. Kanon prefers to stick her own ideas and beliefs, rather accept someone else's opinion. On occasion, she'll even try to force her own opinions on others. She's reluctant to agree to ideals that conflict her own, launching herself in another debate about something pointless. Kanon is very reluctant to admit her faults, and chooses to become irritated at the person who proved her wrong instead. Of course, if it's a light-hearted argument or a slip of the foot, then Kanon apologizes quite freely and cheerfully at that, blaming her own clumsiness or ignorance. It can be rather hard to get along with her.
『 ☁ Carefree 』Free of care is the literal way to describe Kanon. She acts like a floating cloud, drifting from here to there without a single care in the world. Kanon honestly doesn't give a hoot about what will happen in the future, and does whatever she wants without regret or second thoughts. In fact, in a darker sense, she honestly doesn't care about what will happen to herself. If she'll be hurt, if she'll die, who cares? Kanon seems to lack any real ambition in life, going around in a carefree and friendly way and throwing caution to the winds. She treats everything with the thought, 'What do I have left to lose?' Her friendly attitude is cover for the emptiness she feels, since Kanon has lost heart to ever trust anyone ever again. Her carefree side is genuine - she really is free of care, not really worrying about what would happen to her.
『 ☁ Detached 』The one thing she's a bit more hesitant is personal relationships. On the surface, Kanon appears to be a very outgoing girl, but she is not and there are a great number of things people don't know about her. Kanon doesn't really take to close bonds with other people, and keeps everything at surface level. She rarely pushes anyone away openly, but has a hard time containing her disgust for people sometimes. The flawless mask she keeps up hardly ever slips. In reality, Kanon's fearful of bonds with people, and is frankly absolutely disgusted when people begin clinging to her. She doesn't consider anyone her friend, besides the butler and wizard. The only thing she really trusts is her music, and the violin she plays and cherishes so dearly. Music really is the one thing that can actually get Kanon to warm up to you slightly, as she enjoys playing the piano or violin.
『 ☁ Awkward 』Even if Kanon despises social relations, she's also quite socially-awkward around people. Never going out and interacting is not healthy, but Kanon doesn't care. While she may be friendly, she doesn't know what to do or say with people around her. And despite her hot-headed behavior sometimes, she can be shy and timid around strangers, and easily startled. Her behavior always depends on her mood, which blows hot and cold and goes all over the place.

Let's go all the way, to the time before Kanon was born. Her father was a violinist, her mother a singer. When her mother became pregnant, it was a cause for celebration. However, their plans for the evening went awry and Kanon's mother was landed in an accident. With wounds that covered every inch of her body, she was proclaimed as beyond help, even that of phoenix tears. The wizards that treated her told the young woman that she could save her child if she drank phoenix tears. Having done so, the mother then died five minutes later. By then, they had extracted the child, who had already consumed the phoenix tears while she was in the womb. After a startling ten seconds, Kanon bursted into flames and a tiny bird rose from her ashes. The wizards informed Kanon's father, who loved the dear child despite the fact she wasn't entirely human. He named after her mother's favorite song, Canon in D.
Unfortunately, Kanon's father had ran into trouble with a couple of wizards before her birth, and knew that he wasn't safe. He left Kanon on the doorstep of a church, explaining the situation hastily to a kind old friar before leaving into the night. His dead body was found floating in a river the next day. Thus, Kanon spent her early years as a bird, until she was seven. To the surprise of the other nuns and priests, she bursted into flames, the fire melting with her already golden and orange plumes. And from the ashes, a raven-haired girl was yawning, her familiar wine-red eyes looking at everyone curiously. The clergy decided to keep it a secret and hid Kanon from unfriendly eyes. She hardly ventured out of the church, instead helping inside it. She was given a room in the living quarters, and she often played in the courtyard.
Even so, Kanon liked sneaking out every now and then. It was during one of these outings that she discovered the old wizard and his strange ways. He came with her back to the Church, asking for permission to take in the firebird as an apprentice. The clergy, recognizing his honesty and good will, agreed. Kanon took to the old wizard immediately, clinging onto his cloak when he was about to leave. Everyone agreed it was better to teach Kanon magic so that she knew how to protect herself. And so, little Kanon soon grew up as a rather powerful magician, still under the protection of the Church. Two years after her apprenticeship, she bursted into flames during the middle of her lesson, turning into a golden-feathered phoenix once more. Her master watched her curiously for a while, before going out the door.
When he returned, he held a vial of liquid in his hand, prompting the young bird to drink. After swallowing the potion, Kanon found that she could return to her human form at will. However, the wizard warned her the effects would only last seven hours, so she should be careful not to get caught outside as a phoenix. When taken during her human form, she had the same ability to transform into a phoenix at will. Recently, her master had told her he was going to bring her to his mansion, where she was to take care of it while he was off on an assignment that would take a long time. Kanon agreed eagerly, and was dropped off in front of the mansion. She met ♛ █ ❛ the ─ GHOSTLY BUTLER」 and he showed her around, explaining the odd quirks of the house as she watched people and creatures alike appearing and going out the front door. A few even stopped to talk!
After three weeks of this abnormal life that she had adjusted to, Kanon found herself in another predicament. Six Wanderers, coming out at approximately the same time, couldn't get to their destination. The front door refused to take them to their rightful place! Confused, Kanon's shock turned into horror when they made themselves at home and declared they were going to stay. She just hopes she can get rid of these unwelcome guests before the wizard comes home. She doesn't know about the wish/regret requirement.

Kanon can be considered a professional musician, since her talent with both violin and piano is no exaggeration. She started music with violin, so it makes sense that the majority of her time goes to the string instrument. She started at the age of seven out of curiosity, developed a love for it, and became a concertmaster at the age of twelve. She actually played in a real orchestra, but she quit after becoming more serious about her magic. While she is certainly good with a piano, her skills on it do not match her ability with a violin. Kanon loves the piano dearly, but her love of violin outmatches it. She only started piano after she became a concertmaster. However, she's been known to call the piano her first love, and she does treat it better than a lot of people she knows. Her favorite composer for the piano is obviously Chopin, and he's probably her number one idol. Though he's dead, of course. She hopes to meet him through the house.

While she isn't considered an extremely top-notch magician, her magic is fairly advanced, being trained by a great wizard after all (even if he was rather eccentric). However, keep in mind she is still an apprentice, and some of her spells tend to go wrong. Also, the fact her master is not all that right in the head is another thing to consider.

While Kanon may be graceful with her fingers, it's not wise to throw her into a kitchen. Mildly putting it, it's like placing a pyromaniac in a room of explosives. In other words, everything will burn to the ground. Literally. Once, when she was boiling water for noodles, the pot was burned dry of water and the grass cracked from the heat. Black scorch marks ruined the bottom of the pot. Needless to say, after a while, everyone learns to keep Kanon out of the kitchen. If she does wander in though, be prepared for explosion and destruction. She's no better with other chores. Cleaning? She'll only get the place to look even messier. Washing? ...Prepare for a bubble monster attack and flooding. It's often up to the bulter to take care of her, to her embarrasment. Asking her to help with chores is definitely not a good idea.

『 ☁ 』Kanon owns a tabby cat named Mocha, who gets along with Waif just fine.
『 ☁ 』She's known for constantly wearing pigtails and carrying the occasional stuffed animal.

『 ☁ 』Kanon's weapon of choice is a CZ75 gun. Otherwise, she'll stick to the longbow.
『 ☁ 』Kanon can be a bit of a troublemaker and prankster at times.
『 ☁ 』She wants to go to an event, such as a circus or carnival, or even going to an amusement park.
『 ☁ 』Her past is a sensitive topic to be avoided if you're not close to her.

『 ☁ 』Kanon is a firebird - a phoenix and human hybrid that alternates between bird and human form during cycles.
『 ☁ 』She will burst into flames and die every seven years, only to be born as her other form.
『 ☁ 』Kanon is currently a phoenix, and will die and be reborn as a human soon.
『 ☁ 』When she is a phoenix, she can change to her human form with the help of a potion. It's not permanent.

[ ❤ Cheery ] Almost perpetually so, nothing seems to get Cy down. Not insults (though she doesn't generally recognize they're being made anyway...), not bad weather, not even tripping up all over herself, which happens more often than it should. She always has a smile on her face. It can be rather annoying, being around someone who is always so happy. But Cyrus doesn't care (or realize that particular fact). In fact, she finds entirely too strange that people would ever want to be anything but happy. Being sad or mad isn't fun at all! Cyrus is also very energetic in her world of happiness, almost flitting about from place to place. She'll make instant friend with anyone and everyone, whether or not they want to be friend with her. Ever the optimist, she is always looking at the brighter side of things. The world doesn't seem so bad through her eyes.
[ ❤ Stupid Simple ] To put it bluntly, Cyrus is stupid. She isn't the brightest star in the sky, nor the sharpest tool in the shed. She's always asking questions about everything, though she never seems to retain the information. She is naive and innocent, though, so sometimes her stupidity is endearing. Most of the time, however, it's a nuisance. More often than not, Cyrus needs to be told what to do with detailed instructions, if you want her to get the job done right. She just doesn't get it, whatever 'it' is. For example, she's known to say something super offensive or ask completely inappropraite questions, simply because she's curious! She doesn't realize how saying such things are bad.
[ ❤ Outgoing ] Cyrus has never limited her world. If there's something out there she wants to do or learn about, she will. She's an open book, wears her heart on her sleeve, and always puts herself out there for others. She isn't afraid to go up to a total stranger and start a conversation. She quite likes social interactions. Cyrus likes to think that everyone is her friend. Although this isn't exactly true, because she thinks it is, she will go to the ends of the earth for someone she just met. She's extremely loyal and dedicated like that.
[ ❤ 'Tough' ] Cyrus likes to think that she's tough. She's willing to get her hands dirty if she has to! There isn't a lot that scares her, either, though more often than not that's because she's too stupid to realize that it should scare her. However, Cyrus is quite brave and sometimes a little reckless. She has a tendency not to think things through, and will recklessly put herself in danger without even knowing it. Cyrus tends to think she's invincible, and often pays the price for it, since she's also quite clumsy. However, being the idiot she is, she never seems to learn from her mistakes.
[ ❤ Childish ] As previously stated, Cyrus is a bright, cheery sort of person. Her stupidity makes her quite child-like. She reminds most of a young child, constantly needing to be watched and coddled, never to be left alone to her own devices. And although Cyrus is capable of taking care of her basic needs, like food and water, she doesn't help her image when she throws temper-tantrums. Although she's generally very happy and optimistic, she can become very upset if something does not go how she thinks it should. If someone were to get angery at her, and make it clear enough that they were, in fact, angery with her, she can cry and cry for hours at a time. And though she doesn't get angery at much, if someone is to call her 'stupid' or an 'idiot', she's likely to blow up at them.

When Karmin Harpen, daughter of a shoemaker, met Jasper Montralon, the son of a dressmaker, it was love at first sight. It wasn't two years after their first meeting that they were wed. Jasper opened up his own store, and put both his and his wife's talents to good use. It became one of the only stores in Market Chipping to sell both clothing and shoes in the same place! They soon became very well off, a good sign, considering Karmin was pregnant with their first child, a daughter they would name Harper. Two years after her birth, another child was along the way, this time, a young boy they would name Kallen. The family was happy and it seemed like things were finally settling down. But then, three years after the birth of their son, who they thought would be their last, Karmin became pregnant for a third time. This time, the pregnancy was a little more difficult. The morning sickness was worse, she was more exhausted, and the actual birth had several close calls. But the child she worked so hard to keep was born healthy, if not a little small. They named her Cyrus.
It was always apparent to Cryus's family that she was a slow learner. They didn't have a problem with it at first. When she was only a couple years old, it was very cute to watch her stumble around and struggle to grasp various concepts. Her siblings always poked fun at her, meaning well, but still making fun. They all thought she'd get brighter as she aged. Of course, they were wrong. Cyrus' idiocy didn't get any better as she got older. Her parents did everything they could to help- they got her private tutors to help her with her studies. They took time to teach her things themselves. But she never retained any of the information, always lost in thought or uninterested entirely. And when she did try, she never seemed to get it. Her siblings went from making fun of her to defending her against the jibes from the other kids. Her older brother, especially, being closest in age to her.
Cyrus's parents babied her well up into her teen years. Unfortunately, this led to even more teasing. Now, though, it seemed only her brother would come to her defense, as her sister became jealous of all the attention her parents put on Cyrus. She felt that they'd forgotten about she and Kallen entirely. Harper lost interest in helping her sister. Thankfully, Kallen was always by her side. He was the one who discovered her talent for baking. She was just... doing it, one day. She'd seen her mother make bread a million times before. She was only fourteen, himself seventeen, and he was so surprised! It actually turned out pretty delicious, too. When his parents returned that day from work, he showed it to them. They were convinced he'd done most of the work, and continued to baby young Cyrus.
Knowing his family wouldn't take it seriously, Kallen took Cyrus around Market Chipping, looking for a bakery, any bakery, to take her on as an apprentice. Finally, on his second week of searching, he found one. Cyrus apprentinced there (against the wishes of her parents) for three years. It was apparent to the owner how talented she was. But even so, her own family still refused to acknowledge her talent, except for her brother. And even he was still sure that though she may be able to bake, she still wasn't smart.
On her third year of apprenticeship, Cyrus had become more of a partner to the old baker. When he died suddenly of a heart attack, it was surprising to everyone but his customers that he left the shop to the young, eighteen year old idiot girl that worked with him. But Cyrus ran the business well. Somehow, it all made sense to her. Except for the finances, but her brother helped her with those. Now a days, the shop is doing great. Cyrus was out for a walk one day, just to escape the heat of the kitchen. When a strange door in an alleyway caught her attention, curious Cyrus had to open it. And now, she finds herself in a strange place, with strange people. Oh well. At least she locked up the shop before she left!

Being s stupid as she is, not many expect Cyrus to be able to do much of anything. However, she is a fantastic baker. Bread, muffins, cakes, cookies- she knows them all by heart. They seem to be the only thing she's every memorized.

A very surprising talent of Cyrus's is her card game savvy-ness. It isn't even that she understands them well enough to be good at them, it's just that she is so damn lucky! Half the time she has no idea she's even won.

Cyrus fails at anything artsy. She's too clumsy to dance. Her singing voice is as lovely as nails on a chalkboard. Her drawings and paintings look like that of a three year old. There just isn't anything up the arts alley for her.

[❤] Cyrus is terrified of heights. Anything higher than two stories up and she becomes paralyzed with fear.

[❤] Cyrus carries around a picture of Kallen and Harper with her at all times.
[❤] Even though Harper and Cyrus have a weak relationship, Cyrus still loves and cares for her sister very much, and visits her often at the shop, where she works with their parents.
[❤] Cyrus is superstitious; she doesn't walk under ladders, and tries her best to never spill salt.
[❤] Cyrus often gets lost walking around Market Chipping, so Kallen usually accompanies her wherever she goes.
[❤] Cyrus's wish is to prove to people that she really isn't as stupid as they think she is. She just wants someone to think she's smart. Or at least of average intelligence.
