The Haunted House always had a way of turning up unexpectedly for students. Freya, Remi, Shun, and Aymet may have intended to go different paths today, but they all ended up in the overgrown grass outside the house. Coincidence? Yeah, probably. For those who explored it today, the front door opened onto a set of cold, damp stone stairs leading into a deep basement of sorts, definitely large enough for even several sizable natural forms to have room to move. Massive carved idols leaned against each other in the corners of the room, staring with empty sockets robbed of their jeweled eyes. A few smaller ones were smashed, as if they had fallen from a great height - and looking up would reveal rocky shelves of them like an audience, curving up toward the domed ceiling. The only source of light came from an oculus far above, dismal light from an unseen source, glinting off the many dead eyes. The beam of light struck a huge green granite slab in the dead center of the room. Something glistened there, dripped off the side, still fresh. It looked like blood. And in fact, when eyes adjusted to the dark, they would see it everywhere - there was blood on the walls, on the idols, smeared up the stairs they just came down. There was an oppressive feeling in the room; it seemed to crush any attempt to use FEAR or FEAR-charged attacks. As if taboo, somehow. Physical attacks, however, were much more effective... STATUS EFFECT Rolling a 1: ALL DAMAGE IS MULTIPLIED BY 2, but you CANNOT USE FEAR/ CHARGED ATTACKS (( HUNTERS INTRO YOURSELVES HOWEVER YOU WANT ROFL ))

The haunted house was a little different today. Shun had randomly found himself there as he had a couple times recently. It wasn't exactly within his intentions to be here, but he supposed that his drive to test himself and improve had called the house to him. Or something like that.
The fact that three other students had all appeared there was what called to some suspicion. This hadn't happened before.
Moving through with them, he carefully made his way down the damp stairs until he found himself in a rather large room. He did not like the look of this. At all. With his eye narrowed, he carefully surveyed his surroundings. He didn't say anything, but he head summoned his daggers ahead of times to get ready. There were almost always hunters in here.
With a frown, he glanced to the others, quietly asking if they were picking up on anything.
-------
Another patrol. Only, Deryk wasn't really liking the room he found himself wandering into. It was big. Dank. And extra creepy. It wasn't exactly one of the usual rooms he'd find himself in. There was even blood. Fresh blood. At least, it looked like that.
"...Really picked a bad day to be doing patrol. Yes. Oooh man not liking this. Not liking this at all. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope," he murmured to himself as he had Tooley ready with him.
This room looked like it could fit something big in it. Very big. And that made this particular trainer rather ill at ease.

Remi had indeed intended on spending the day actually doing something, but for once he had actually approached the haunted house willingly. He thought to himself this was his own willingness leading him there, but maybe it was something more. This... hell hole, had some rather painful memories for the kitsune. It was a place that he would have rather avoided, but if the silly little idea he had were to work... he would have needed this houses powers. Regardless as to why he was here did not matter at this point.
Cerulean tails flicked some as he found the trio of other students also mysteriously close to the house. Why? Coincidence? Call Remi a skeptic but he was starting to wonder. He actually did not know any of them. Not being one to shun formalities, he introduced himself before walking through the doors with them.
It was always safer in numbers, yes?
Dual toned eyes flicked back and forth as they finally entered the room, not really understanding what the hell was pulling them down in to this place. It was almost as if there was a master puppeteer above them, cackling their names and breathing down their necks as they descended down the stone stairway in to the room.
A quick glance was enough. "...Who else votes for going back the other direction, yes?" A pause, he narrowed his eyes to look at the walls as something caught his attention, hell even the FLOOR they were standing on was giving the same vibe. It was all covered with blood! "Oh now THATS just wrong." Gross, actually.

Patrol with Deryk. It could be worse, but it could have been better. He preferred working alone, but he had little choice in the matter. He just hoped they didn't run into anything. Following orders without explanation was becoming increasingly difficult.
Otto walked with the fellow Death trainee into the large room. It was dark, save for the single light. His nerves started to work over time, a shudder ringing up his spine. He prayed inside his heart that light would stick around. He could not compose himself in front of Deryk if that one light went out. A quiet shaky breath drawn in then out, and his eyes glanced around the surroundings, his slip-on shoes clapping wetly on the stone floor.
"I dun' like it either.." He muttered softly back to Deryk, the light splashing colour on the mysterious red liquid.
Please be Kool-Aid.

Freya had absolutely loved finding others like herself looking for some adventure. She had clung to Remi the moment she met him, but as soon as he suggested they turn back, she let go and rolled her eyes, trampling forward full speed ahead. "What kinds of sense of adventure is thats, friend? We has teh goes and sees if we can finds some trouble, and then.." She slammed her fist into her hand. "WE SQUISH IT!" She was a little over-excited about it. Clearly, Freya didn't get the real danger they were in - or perhaps, deep down, she did, and refused to accept it.

Jordan was almost certain that there hadn't been a door in that particular end of the hallway when he'd first checked it. He tested the doorknob; the door swung open easily, revealing a narrow, dark set of stairs that spiraled down into dimness. This hallway was otherwise a dead end; he coul go back, or he could go down the stairs.
Stairs it was, then. He trailed one hand along the wall to help keep his balance on the steep steps, and held Ferros rested across his shoulder with the other. The weapon's runes provided a red glow by which he could make out the next few steps. The stairway spiraled down improbable distances; he'd only been on the second floor. But this was the Haunted House.
When the stairs finally ended, he almost tripped as his foot came down harder than he'd intended on the floor. Just ahead, light glowed through the cracks around another door; he moved to open it, squinting at the glare of light in the room, even the dimness brilliant to eyes that had adjusted to near-dark.
The door swung shut behind him; when he turned to look, he couldn't see where it had gone, a squatting idol leering at him from stone eyes. The idols were everywhere, lining the walls. They dripped with blood, and the slab in the center of the room, so neatly spotlighted, was wet with it. "Sacrificial theater? Great," Jordan muttered.
Movement caught his eye, and he realized that there were other Hunters across the room. Otto and Deryk? Their patrol wasn't scheduled for another two hours. Or, at least, it hadn't been. There were freaks here as well; Jordan stayed close to the wall, in the shadow of the idols. Ferros dimmed his glow in response to Jordan's thought.

It was a rather large group really. Marcus knew others patrolled the house but thus far he hadn't run into any of them when he was around. There was a first for everything and it seemed this time, it would be a little more than normal.
The moon trainee had come into the room and on the way down, had suffered through Dis telling him how he just love the decorations. Cold, dark, idols that looked just that touch ornate. Plus the blood. Dis had squealed with joy at the sight of blood. Dis wasn't able to tell what was really going on but he did whine that it felt a bit 'stuffy'. Marcus took that as a sight something was off. And not knowing that something was not comforting.
Still the large room with other hunters- And the sound of others. He made no motion to give himself away, only moving to stay covered in the darker shadows, pulling back the gold of his coat to try and hide a possible reflection.

After the time he'd helped Jericho find the place, and the time a hunter had been killed here, Aymet didn't loathe or fear the Haunted House. He relished it every time the way opened again. A chance to make the hunters pay, what could be better than that? "Yeah!" Aymet liked the way that reaper thought. A lot of them could squish a lot of hunters. In any sense of the word. Shun was more experienced with this sort of thing, and he seemed to be doing his best to stay hidden. And the blue guy? Aymet recognized him vaguely from the most recent trance, as everyone had flooded out. Aymet had walked in last and scampered over to one of the fallen statues to investigate, as if it was some kind of clue. He was hard to miss - a nightlight in the dark, two burning eyes and an orb floating in the shadows, an insult to everyone else's camouflage skills. "I'm not turning back now. They're always in this place, like mold. I saw - we saw - what they've done. To the school, to the islands, to us, students. They won't stop unless we stop them." The dracolich had gradually lost the ability to dissociate himself from the memories he picked up from trance, until it all flowed neatly into his reasoning. There was no stepping back to be objective and wait when they lied and cheated, when they herded, kidnapped, weaponized, killed a teacher, blasted a civilization into Insanity, tore Halloween itself apart - Aymet caught a flicker of something - red light, perhaps, or movement, on the far side of the room. He bristled inasmuch as a skeleton could, rising slowly up to a fighting stance. " Hunters." (( ROLL FOR INITIATIVE 1d100 ))

Shun shot Freya a glare. While her spirit was admirable, she was being really damn loud. They wouldn't be able to sneak up on any hunters if she alerted them all at once. Shaking his head to himself, he continued to move through quietly, keeping a sharp eye out for anything in the room. He had no intentions of turning back either, but running in blind was just unwise.
And sure enough, there were hunters up ahead. Narrowing his eye, he stared ahead before shifting away towards some of the heavier shadows in the room. He'd wait and see just how many there were and who they were before making his move.

At least Otto agreed with him. But Deryk was soon feeling even more wary of the place as he suddenly found Marcus and Jordan here as well. Wait. Why were they here too right now? Oooooh no. This was definitely a bad sign. Bad bad bad sign.
Looking around nervously, he looked towards the team that had just formed right now, then spotted a blue light up ahead.
"Don't think we're alone. Someone's here. Can't tell how many. Definitely not good," he murmured while raising up his left arm defensively. While he had run into some students that weren't completely bloodthirsty, the atmosphere and whatnot he was currently in was giving him poorer vibes than usually.

Personally Remi would rather have just been napping somewhere, but it seemed to him that he had gotten dragged in to something much larger. Something that, in reality, he could not hide from. Even if he did run away he ran the risk of getting lost in the haunted house, alone. That was something the boil REALLY did not want. "Squishing...yes, squish things." He nodded towards the ghoul once more, saying he agree'd with her.
Still though his OWN instincts were enough to make him want to flee, it was just part of who he was. Thankfully he was recently learning to hold back some of that feeling. With the hunters around looking for such weakness, it was necessary to learn to cope. They would win otherwise.
Plus the kitsune REALLY needed to start looking in to his family roots, his heritage. He was a kitsune, evil little things in a adorable package. It was about time he lived up to it.
A blue ear flicked towards the dracolich, a single word was enough to cause him to pull up his guard. He went towards the ground, making himself a smaller target. Eyes glanced around the room, he sniffed the air... "Smells like them, cant tell how many but more than one for certain." One of the scents in particular was there, but faint. Was it who he THOUGHT it was? If so, bring it on buddy.

Aymet nodded to Remi, but didn't hang back in hiding. He remained upright, moving closer to the edge of the grey light pooling in the center of the room. Undead instinct, perhaps, not to be wary, not to stand down or bide his time waiting for the enemy to reveal themselves first. His claws twitched in anticipation of what they might slice into; he was so Jacking ready for this.

A flicker of motion caught his eye, and Jordan glanced over to see Marcus. ... Excellent. He made his way quietly around the perimeter to the Moon hunter. "Mind helping me out?" he asked quietly. "Looks like we're going to have a good fight on our hands here."

So they weren't alone. Luckily for them, they had some more of their own, but as to why marcus and Jordan were also there was a mystery. Was there some sort of schedule mishap? Either way, they could use the backup if there were just as many Halloweeners.

Jordan's question got a nod. Moons defended the sun, that was how it usually worked after all. "I didn't bring daggers this time. Just bandages." After getting beat up enough times he'd begun to grow fond of them. Looking over to Deryk and Otto- he hoped they would be alright without a moon. If worse came to worse he could try to defend them all but even he didn't have much faith in that plan.
