~Downtown District [Inaba]~
Though Junes may be the most popular shopping location in all of Inaba, the Downtown District still holds many options for shopping, food, and other goods that can only be found there! With several famous stops along the walk [including the Marukyu Tofu Shop owned by the grandmother of pop idol Rise Kujikawa, and the Shiroku Store], Downtown is still very much alive in spite of the previous threat of the Junes brand department store.
Other important locations that can be visited in the Downtown District include:
-Book Store -Daidara's [Metallurgy, Armor, and Weapons] -Shiroku Store [Items, Tonics, etc] -Moel Gas Station

Noir, the Messiah "That'll be forty-seven fifty, believe it." It was a sad day when one of Inaba's fine young men was forced to work at a local gas station instead of earning a higher education, but such was the case for poor Inaba resident Noir. The gas station attendant had just recently applied due to his homeless, family-less, and otherwise penniless nature. After there had been some confusion there in the middle where it seemed like the owner wanted to say something, but couldn't find the words for it, eventually Noir's cheerful smile and insistence on helping out had won the man over, and now he was finally starting on his first day on the job. "It's five bucks. And also, you pumped it in the wrong place. You just gassed up my CAR!" Had the gas station manager not been so caught up on being politically correct, he might have helped to avoid this error. Unfortunately, at the time he was hiring Noir, he thought it was a better idea not to point out someone's disability, than to mention that a blind person working a gas pump was one of the worst ideas he had heard of. He thought it, but in the end, had idiotically allowed this facade to go on. And now, back to the present, where poor Noir winced as the man continued yellnig. "I-I'm sorry sir! I thought for sure that felt like a forty-seven fifty amount! I'll fix the numbers right away...s-so do you have a truck around here, or-" "No you idiot, you put gas IN my CAR! The gas tank's not even on this side!" The man rebuked quickly, shoving the violet haired teenager into the pole nearby as he grabbed the hose and shoved it back into place quickly to avoid anymore of the catastrophe. All throughout the man's front seat Noir had accidentally spread gasoline, mistaking the window for the appropriate hole. What did you expect? It's not like he could see the car to know what was going on! And as the berating continued, the manager seemed to be coming from inside to see what was going on. Noir could sense it, but at the same time he knew not to take his attention off of the customer, who's voice only grew more agitated as his tantrum continued. It was another day in the life of a homeless, poor, blind teenager, and although he'd just been trying to help out, it looked like his stint at Mole Gas was going to end almost hardly before it began...he could feel the tears welling up already, though whatever people thought of that, the truth was that his only fixation was on having failed to help the man. And it was that sadness, the fact that he'd failed to make someone else smile once again, that got to him more than anything else.

Noir, the Messiah"Just go inside damn it! I'll be in in a minute!" The manager yelled, causing Noir to wince again. He didn't want to cause trouble though, so he started heading inside. It seemed like things were getting worse. And then he heard the sound of another car pulling in behind the other, and as it did the man got out. Seeing the commotion, he started in as if he had been there the whole time, and the shouting only seemed to escalate as he wondered why he couldn't pull his car up and get gasoline yet. "Sir please be careful! We've had an incident, and we need a few moments to clean up the gas-" Unfortunately Noir had gone inside by now, forced into exile after his mistake prior. "Ahh s**t, I got gas all over my shoes..." The late comer complained as he walked into the store, grabbing a pack of smokes after a moment of shopping and heading up towards the register. "I'll take this damn it..." The man said, throwing it on the counter. 'This is my chance!' The unfortunate thought was all Noir could consider as he headed for the counter, figuring he could at least run the register for a moment while the manager was outside. It would be a great help if he could take a weight off the manager's shoulders and give him a breather... ...and it was just as he was spacing out to that thought that his foot hit the loose mop bucket, and he tripped, hands reaching out for anything to catch him as he grabbed at something leathery and ended up faceplanting anyways. "WHAT THE HELL KID!? G-get off me! You wanna freaking die!?' A foot slammed into Noir's stomach as the man unleashed his pent up anger after Noir accidentally brought the man's trousers down around his waist, realizing his mistake from the man's words as he clutched at his stomach. "I'm sorry...sorry.." Noir slowly sat up and moved behind the counter, still holding his stomach as he pressed a few buttons...and the man seemed to be catching on about now, as numbers he didn't even recognize popped up on screen. "Uh, h-hey, it says I should get uh...twenty back...just reach in there kid, and pull out a couple bills..." The man said, motioning towards the trey of cash. And low and behold, Noir was quick to hand him what he pulled out of the trey, though he wasn't really sure he got it right. If he was off by a few dollars, he hoped that the manager could just take it out of his salary. At least that way, this guy would have gotten a favor for the day. Everyone deserved to be treated to a kind action every once and a while, and the fact the guy was helping him get the bills out was worth returning the favor anyway. Not that Noir knew the guy was stuffing his pocket with twenties when they were done... "O-oh yeah! Hey, why don't I give you a light! Here, I think the boss keep's a lighter around here." Noir said, fumbling around below the desk for a few seconds. "Hey, are you stupid kid? I'm done here-" "W-wait! You've been so nice, it's the least I can do." Noir said, fumbling around the desk and tripping again, grabbing the man's shoulder as he turned with a disgruntled look. "Hnn? Didn't you hear me kid, piss off." A shift of the shoulder threw the hand away, and an elbow to the chest knocked Noir into a rack. 'H-hey, what the...oh, the lighter! Oh hey, thanks!' Noir thought as his hand on the floor passed over the missing lighter, assuming the man had been trying to point him at it...he just must have made a mistake or two. "Hold on, I've found it! Here, just give me a second..." Noir said, fumbling for a last second as he flicked the lighter, holding the flame up for the guy to use. Unfortunately, the blind helper couldn't see the gasoline on his pants, and the spark sent the man up in a split second, yells causing an uproar and drawing attention from even those outside. Noir meanwhile continued to apologize as feet kicked up at his teeth and he fumbled in the dark to help put the man out, the confusion too great for him to even know what had happened.

Suigetsu Mizuiro The figure taking hold of all of the excess bills would soon go very quiet, as another figure seemed to approach the area, hearing a ruckus going along. "Seems like you're in a rough patch.." a very....ambiguous voice called out, gripping Noir tightly. "Don't worry buddy.....I'll take you out of here."
With the place going up, Suigetsu seemed to be sweating heavily, but something was a bit off about it..... His sweat was....Cold. very Cold. And as he shoved the two out of the door, Suigetsu kept dragging the blind guy around, grinning. "Best to not be cooped up inside on a day like today, right?" All in all, not too bad a deal...Though, he didn't seem to do anything about the actual building itself, it continuing to get engulfed in flames. Oh, but Noir and him were getting within safe distance of the inevitable explosion.....And hey, he got an advance on his check too. How fortunate for him! Quote: Suigetsu has Saved......Noir. (And scored cash) He didn't do a thing for the Gas station though

Noir, the Messiah"Hey wait, I have to help that guy! My shift hasn't ended, what will I-" "s**t put it out, put it out! Noir, YOU'RE FIIIIIRED!" Electric filled voices croned from back near the gas station, causing the violet haired ex-employee to whine sadly and nearly lose his footing for a moment. He could feel it sinking in again, that sense of emptiness when he'd been unable to find his place in this world. Although he wanted nothing more than to show them that he could be of service, and hear someone praise him for once... 'Still.' Noir thought, pulling himself together. It would only be burdening if he were to show his unhappiness here, and he didn't want the manager to have regrets about letting him go. He knew it was just his job, and in time, he hoped someone better suited for it would come along so that that manager didn't have to work so hard anymore. Speaking of burdening people... Noir pulled out of Suigetsu's grip suddenly, falling into a bow before Mizuiro. "I-I'm sorry! Thank you for your help back there. I realize it must have caused you a lot of trouble, and I should probably make sure they're alright back there..." Noir said, turning his head back towards the way they'd come (although it was merely indicating what he meant for Suigetsu). "I don't really have anything to repay you, and you helped me put that fire out on that man.." Wrong again. "B-but if there's anything I can assist you with, I promise I'll pay you back somehow. Although, I can't really see...but I'll help out in whatever way I can! Mr..." Noir waited without raising his head up, having not even got the name of his savior yet. How rude of him! It was just another reason this guy had, along with every right, to look down on him once again. Just like the manager, and everyone before him...

Suigetsu Mizuiro "Suigetsu. Suigetsu Mizuiro." the grinning figure called to him, with a smile. "I'm sure.....we'll think of something, buddy. I'll see you around...maybe. His facial expressions didn't match his tone, unsettling for anyone watching, but he seemed genuinely sincere in helping out the poor blind boy. If he wanted to go back and risk burning to death again? Well, that was his thing. Suigetsu had nothing to do with that..... Instead, he merely pocketed the large sum of bills he'd swiped from the man taking advantage of Noir, and started off, wondering where he should go. "Could do with some food from Aiya's..." Quote: Suigetsu has given his name! and made off with Cash for other things. Noir can just do his thing. =w=b

Rirouku Muramaro, delinquent badass (wannabe) Even as the bell rang, the fire roared out, and the strange rescuer moved about, the former Sumaru Delinquent leaned against the wall. "Hmmpth." he called, quietly, looking up. He'd somehow been drug around here for some reason...and he'd been transferred. Despite this, he didn't have much of a drive to go to school on the first day. Nothing like making the impression that he was a bad boy that didn't follow the rules... ... He'd probably deal with that tommorow. If he was lucky, he'd get sent to a reform school or something, to get the attention of everyone in town. Then everyone would know he was a delinquent badass....maybe. Hopefully.

"Hey kid, move it." A voice called, followed by a characteristic 'Tch' and a sneer as the taller, buffer individual croned his head to the side. He didn't care to go prying into people's personal matters, but this guy'd bumped into him on a bad day, and that just made things more irritating. Still. "What, you think skipping school makes you cool or something? I can't say I haven't been in your shoes but...ah hell, do what you want." The man leaned against the opposite wall, bored once again. These days he spent a lot of time doing what looked like aimless wandering, but if he told others he was patrolling the area, they might take it in some sentimental fashion. Even if he did feel like cleaning the place up, that didn't mean he wanted to hear about it from a certain sentimental silver haired public official. He wondered if his old partner was still as hard headed about justice as he was before... nah, if that were true, a kid like this would probably be getting a big bruise on the noggin, and a kick in the pants to point him towards a better future right about now. That wasn't his style though.
"It's not my place to mind someone else's business anyways. You do your thing, and I'll do mine." Shinji said, deciding to let the kid be. It's not like he had a clean slate either, so where did he get off telling these other punks to straighten their lives around? They hadn't walked down the dark road that he had, but for some reason he felt like he still came out smelling like a batch of roses compared to half the punks running around today. And when they were really bad...well lets just say, he'd been forced to crack a few skulls while he was doing his own thing. This kid didn't seem like he was nearly that lost though. Probably just some poser, hoping to make himself seem stronger by acting like a delinquent...there was no telling where he'd be in a few years time. But worst came to worst, he could at least find something to live for. With someone as simple as that, humans could weather any storm. He was living proof that someone with a will could make the impossible possible. It was a fact he'd taken way too lightly once before...and paid the price for it.

Ƞix Gallen XI call your name XBut it does not reach. XSo I will keep calling XUntil my love XReaches your heart X ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ "That party turned out to be the opposite of what I had in mind.. How embarrassing." Nix muttered to herself as she walked down the Downtown District. She felt embarrassed of how things turned out, even if it did end on a peaceful note. The girl felt foolish for not being able to let Genji know she did remember him, just never got his name before.. Since they were on the same team there was always another chance to speak with him right? At the moment the female student was on her way to her temporary home but had the idea of picking up some tofu on the way back. Marukyu Tofu Shop possibly had the best kind in town and some Ganmadoki sounded perfect, hopefully Kusuri and the others would like it too.
Though as Nix made her way towards the store she couldn't help but think about what Teros and Mataki told her. Girls getting attacked outside.. She had her Persona but she couldn't use it on an average unempowered thug. "I'll just have to be careful.." The snowy haired girl stepped into the store and purchases some Ganmadoki, glad she had enough money on hand to get some for everyone, and exited the establishment.
'Time to start heading home.. I wonder if I should get a job at Junes soon. If I do then I can get my own place and stop being a bother to Kusuri and the others.' Nix truly did appreciate Kusuri's kindness but it had already been two months. Sooner or later they would miss their time alone so she needed to leave before their friendship became strained. Maybe she could speak with Jo(shu) or just apply for a job herself.. ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ♫ Quote: Nix bought some Ganmadoki!

 ☽ Mika✧Katsuragi ☾ 『The Crazy Science Teacher』≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎1♫2♫3≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ 'Oo! Oo! Oo!' ========================
Mika yawned as she finished up the notes for her lesson plan. 'Never thought being a teacher would be this crazy. I like it! Better than being a paper pusher in NASA. HA!' She smiled as she started into the last parts of the notes with her television on. The science teacher was up in her apartment just at the edge of the southern part of the shopping district. It was a space that was converted into a loft to which she found nice. It was high up to people watch...and alien watch.
"Finally I'm all done. Now all I have to do is hit save and see if there's any space shows on. Oh? It's almost midnight, hm, maybe I should go to bed. Okay and now I hit--" Mika was about to hit the 'SAVE' button on her hard working lesson plans for the week when the Dark Hour had hit and her computer, television and lights went off. She stared at the screen with her hand up in the air with a 'wtf' look with her mouth slightly open. "How...? I mean even with the power out, my battery was fully charged! Awe man! Thank god there's that extended warranty I got..." During her small rant, she had lifted the computer and inspected it. She sighed as she sat it down and shivered, "Burr. I know it's September but I didn't think it was that cold..."
Mika looked up just as the Midnight Channel came on and saw the forms. Her mouth was once more agape, "Oh..my..THEY CAME BACK!" She shouted alittle as she scrambled on to her coffee table for a notebook and pen and started to write down what she was seeing, "I-I-I-I didn't think...wait! I should've known that the aliens would one day hack into our tv signals! This is amazing! They must be back! Awesommmme!" She wrote down all that she could before the Midnight Channel went off. Mika was excited as all heck! 'The aliens have finally come back!'
The teacher looked back down at her notes and gave a rather confused look for her being ecstatic, "But I wonder what they mean by tower and voice? A TV tower maybe? That would make sense if they just used our television signal to broadcast and....wait..." she looked at her computer, her lights, microwave, etc and then back to her tv, "But my electricity is off...how can my tv work? They would need some sort of an electrical pulse inorder to use the television or even disable my tech." Mika frowned. Normally, she would be happy for the aliens, but now she was slightly worried as she shivered again. "I hope they would turn back on my electricity soon...I'm getting shivers. Wonder if anyone else is having the same problem."
With her notebook still in her hand, Mika went over to her window and opened it to peek her head out. She lost the ability to breathe for a short second at the sight while dropping her pen and pad. "My god.." In all her years of studying all things space, science and aliens, this was something that surprised her. Seeing all of this surprised her. The sky was an unearthly green color with the moon so bright and large she thought that she was in space. The thing that got her the most was some of the coffins that were down below. She pulled her back in, 'Okay Mika. You're not going crazy. The aliens have not prepared our graves by putting some coffins in the streets and turned the sky green and oh who am I kidding! They abducted me to study how the human body is and our customs and oh my god I became the instrument of the human race's demise and wait...then what about the other people, the cows, the dolphins and that random penguin in San Diego who disappeared and came back with all purple? Wouldn't they be apart of their plans? I didn't see any cow shaped coffins. My calculations and notes are---my notes!'
Mika went back over to her window to spot the notebook and pen on the ground. 'great...'
Taking what she can from her kitchen; her oven mitts, a broom, a sign that read, "I COME IN PEACE!" that would be placed around her neck as she went down stairs to the door way. She unlocked the door and peeked out. 'Should've made a tin foil hat...wait...then I would look crazy.'
Once she deemed it was safe she began to try and broom her stuff back without leaving the building.

??? As Mika would head out of the building, several wispy, shadowy figures would flow past the strangely outfitted teacher, all floating towards one particualr area. Joinnnn ussss. Go.....thereeeee... The Tower.... A medley of unsettling voices calling out to anyone with an ear to listen, the teacher and anyone else in the area. An almost human-shaped one continued a path, walking along towards a goal. "The tower..." the slowly deteriorating body started out, looking as if he was limping towards the goal. An impossibly large tower, that wasn't there beforehand, that had sprang up when the clock hit midnight.. The Tower... Go there... Join uss..... "The Tower.....be saved.." the wraith called, as it continued trekking along, coaxing those who would seek answers.....Those who would seek the truth... The Tower...... Babel....... Join.....us...

KisaMaybe I should look for a job of some kind. Kisa looked down at the illusion covering her body; goodness knew she was adorable like this, and if there was anywhere that would hire a person and pay in cash without asking any questions, that would be good... If Japan wasn't a society that was so incredibly biased against tattoos, she could even have done that without the disguise. The marks on her body were kind of hard to ignore, though, and it was the realization that nobody outside the yakuza would hire her which had driven her to homelessness in the first place. Well, that and demons attacking her home; she couldn't let her parents have that kind of risk facing them all the time. Still, she'd managed to find a home within the Amala Network... if she could actually get any kind of income, she could purchase some things and maybe start to feel like an actual person again. Although... who knew when some demon would decide to destroy everything she'd been trying to save up. The girl exhaled softly. No, no... there was no point in fighting for peace if she wasn't going to be able to enjoy it properly at the end of things. Today was Sunday, so it was fine, but... people were going back to school now, which could mean some awkward questions on weekdays if a police officer decided to ask why a young girl wasn't in class... Hmm...

 ♥ ♦ ♠ ♣ Lady in Red
Such beautiful rain falling down to the earth, dripping down every edge, creating every puddle and wetting every surface facing the sky. This town needed that rain. With the gray sky covering any light and the people hiding under whatever cover they have available to them, it was honestly giving her a sort of..nostalgic feeling. Her? Yes, her. A single young woman walking down the road of the Downtown District, dressed as if she was going to have a nice dinner with a sweetheart pretty soon. Her frame was covered with red, a lovely dress rippling and flowing with every step she took in a sort of way that always made her giddy with how it moved. She was always amused by simple things like that. It just felt good against her legs.
The lady in red looked about the area with a sort of excited sparkle in her eyes, taking in the murky place as she continued to walk under her umbrella. She took in a breath, tightening her grip on her umbrella then exhaled, trying to settle down her heart as people casually passed by. Even seeing them was very strange to her. But, right now, she was supposed to be one of them. Simple enough! She looked down at herself with an uneasy smile, patting her dress before she started to continue her walk for her upcoming destination. Perhaps blending in with such a color that stands out too much was a bad idea... But she loved the dress too much, so that's her own fault if she suddenly gets some unwanted attention. Oh, no now that was starting to worry her. The lady frowned, soon doing a somewhat light jog in the rain and wanted to get to the school as soon as possible.

Sapphire Karakuri
Sapphire stopped in the middle of the road as her sensors went ping, and in an example of completely unnecessary but human-like behavior, the robot turned her head to look towards the horizon. Tiny machines focused the lens in her eyes, and her vision abruptly magnified a great number of times. Things impossible for a human were natural for a robot to be able to do; otherwise, what was the point of building them? Though, her system was still busy examining and configuring this body... it wouldn't be long before it was complete, though. The fact that it was still going at all was evidence of just how much she was having to do, and her various heat vents were quietly dispensing with a lot of waste heat. It might be more efficient to dedicate some cycles to figuring out ways to run cooler, though...

After her ranting session, she bought some food from Aiya's and was going on ahead and go back her loft in this district. "Maybe I should see if a old style, tourist film camera will work. If even my laptop got shut off, I doubt my cameras would work." She had plans later to go and get a camera from Junes to take pictures of the tower when it goes to happen. Mika was bound and determined to study it for the aliens along with the cure of those who were bitten. Before she would make it over, she wondered while a girl was just standing in the middle of the road in the middle of the rain like she was. Sure Mika forgot her umbrella but she was still moving, not standing. "Hello? Is everything okay?" Mika asked as she walked over to the girl. 'huh?' Mika wondered why it was warmer than it was earlier. Shaking it off for a moment, she tilted her head, "It's dangerous to stand out here. Why don't you come over here to the sidewalk, okay?" Mika was hoping to atleast move her off the street before asking questions.
