~::The Inaba Hilltop::~
(Inaba's Highest Point, Overlooking the Town)

Accessible only by the bus in the Downtown District, the Hilltop above Inaba is the highest point in the town and the best view in town. The majority of the Downtown and Residential Districts re visible from this spot atop the hill, and the gazebo and picnic table there help make it a nice, secluded location to spend time away from the hustle and bustle in town.

Every Monday, Friday, and Saturday there is a day care that brings its kids atop the hill for a short time after school. Looking after the kids is a part-time job that students with high responsibility can take in order to make good money.

Kisa

A flash of light seemed to sweep across the zone as a quiet young girl swept her weapons through the air. Out darted one blade, electricity crackling along its length as it cut through a worn-out cushion the girl had found tossed out in an alleyway. All right, so collecting trash for target practice wasn't very... fancy. But it was less of a bother than burning down trees or something, and she'd learned to make do with what she had. The swing of her lightning-charged sword wasn't the only part of her attack, though, and the sword held in her other hand glinted brightly as it slashed through the larger remaining pieces. Her other hand hadn't stopped moving; the pure white blade with the electrical charge vanished, and in its place another weapon began to form. The second sword vanished as well, an instant before the black spear shot out, and with less time than an eyeblink between weapons, Kisa changed from her series of slashes to a barrage of quick stabs with Gungnir. The black spear vanished and the two swords reappeared as she held her hands out to the side... and both weapons were brought down, through the last bit of the cushion, carving through the diagonals in one quick motion. The girl exhaled slowly, and her weapons vanished once more. That was probably enough for morning practice. The schools apparently had some entrance ceremony today, which meant that she wouldn't be able to see Soji for awhile. Well, it could have been worse...

Kisa

There was one convenient thing about the tools she used to fight with... well, there were many things, really, but perhaps the most prevalent at the moment was the way she didn't need to carry her things around. This was, she'd eventually discovered, a personal talent that sprang from her natural affinity for weapons. It wasn't something she'd realized at first; however, demons had their own particular abilities and affinities. Hers, more or less, was 'adaptation'. She could create and use weapons to perform techniques. She could change her affinities and her skills as the situation demanded. She could, in other words, become whatever she needed to be... and more than her power, more than her weapons, more than anything else, that was probably the biggest advantage she had. But none of it mattered at all if she couldn't use it effectively. People would probably start coming down this way soon, so it was time for her to go.

Calmly, the girl glanced over her shoulder. A roar sounded, eagerly, and then a bike decorated with a skull motif and emitting blue fire from its wheels and exhaust pipe shot over the ridge and skidded to a stop next to her, its engine purring happily as it sensed its master's call. This was no race, the situation it loved most... but it had a rider who understood it. A rider who liked to go fast. The Demi-Fiend swung one leg over the bike and lay in the forward riding position the bike supported; it could be adjusted for sitting up, but where was the fun in that? The engine roared back to life a moment later as she squeezed the accelerator, and the bike shot down the hill and towards the edge of town.

Saiga Giriko, And Jo(shu) Michieru, students of 3-3
"Why am I out here?"
"Because I'm scared of being out here alone."
"You have your sisters."
"You've never really tried to talk with them before, have you?
"What's that mean?
"They...aren't exactly good for protection." he called, dusting himself off a bit, glancing around. "Anyways...Thanks for coming regardless.
"S'not like I have anything better to do." Saiga shrugged, looking around. Had they arrived early? Or, were they just failing a spot check? Hard to say..
Jo(shu) sighed, before looking around. An event for the new students....And he'd been drug along by circumstance, with Loa and WYNN having came from 'His' house. Oi..

When the bluff of false courage in my voice began to falter
The dream began to endxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
When my vision fades I know I'll quickly collapse

What else was there to do but come here? Miki actually had been applying to join a music club or something of the like, and just as soon afterwards was whisked away and told that she ought to come around to the hilltop in town. Now that she was arriving she saw why. Unfamiliar faces were there, it seemed to be some kind of gathering?

The blue haired girl looked around with her belongings still in tow. What did she do now? ...try to make some good impressions, I guess?

Even now I have hopexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I'll keep calling your name no matter how many times

Yue had been the one who prodded the younger girl to come here. He only knew that there was something going on here for new students, so why not. Seeing she had really come by, Yue arrived soon afterwards and looked around, grinning a bit. There were a few veteran students too. He mostly came here to give the new students some greeting, he rather liked new faces, and some of them looked pretty curious.

W.Y.N.N., and Loa Recctear
WYNN blinked quietly, as she held onto Jo(shu)'s arm, not wanting to get lost. The hilltop was a rather large area, and she'd heard about some...party to welcome the new students. She was a new student, and as such...she would be required to join....Right?
"Onii-Shu....school is interesting.." she called quietly to him, looking to his pink haired friend. She'd come along too, though she was rather...different. WYNN would need to talk to her soon...Learn more about her, and if she was a threat...

Loa yawned deeply, scratching the side of her skirt as she waited.
"So......What's this all about then?" Loa sneered, giving a sort of displeased scowl. "Only reason I'm here is cause it says for new students......"
Not like I understood a word the teacher said anyways. she thought quietly, rubbing her head. This school thing seemed too complicated for her. Maybe she shoulda joined as a freshman instead of a Junior... Either way, Loa was there, even if had no idea what the whole thing would be worth..

Yasuo Utsumi, Yasogami Student Council Vice-President
"We're all products of our circumstances and what we make of them."

One had to admit that upon first arrival at the top of the Hill it was hard to imagine that it was going to be the location of some party just a few moments later; that didn't really consider, however, the type of gathering that itw as meant to be. Something of an introduction, a way for people to socialize and get to know one another, but if they needed more incentive than just an opportunity to make friends, then the Student Council had covered the bases on that account, too. It was to that end that the ash-haired young man that had been moving about the school recruiting for the Council for most of the free day back at the school building moved towards the recently-repaired pavilion (few ill effects of the recent burning remaining on its mostly-pristine wooden form), a large device with black plastic casing and two large speakers on either side of the buttons and entrance slot held within his hand...and with one swift move he had set what was obviously a pretty standard but high-volume CD player on the bench beneath the canopy and plugged in a small microphone that he had been carrying in his other hand. Behind him, a few assorted delinquents who had avoided detention by following his directives came into the picture and set out on the surrounding pavilions a spread of assorted snack ships, pretzels, soda, juices, and ice tea to snack on so long as they were on the Hilltop together. Nearby there was a small grill that was likely part of the Hilltops picnic attractions that already seemed to be smoldering, a few hot dogs, hamburgers, and other assorted meats spread out and starting to roast. Looking around the meager celebratory spread, he only wished that he could have managed to get his hands on a watermelon, but it was starting to get out of season. Maybe Mataki would be able to swing it with his strange connections, but unfortunately for now, this was the best that the Vice-President could manage. Still, it was something...and as he pressed down the Play button on the music and held the microphone to his lips, he hoped that he had done enough to keep the newcomers at ease.

"Good afternoon, everyone. Welcome to the Student Council's Greeting Party...we hope that new students and old alike have come to the Hilltop to get to know one another and become more comfortable in their new environment," he began in earnest, a cool air about him even if his eyes seemed to be taking it all in with a strange sort of distance, "I am Yasuo Utsumi, a Junior and Vice-President of the Student Council. On behalf of all of us, allow me to welcome each of you to Yasogami High School! Many things have happened, but now that we are together again, I hope that you will all have a year worth remembering." His words were welcoming, and indeed, it would have been difficult to read anything but a casual sort of friendliness from the Vice-President's introduction, though it was possible that something wasn't quite right with him. He regarded each of the gathered students coolly, again noting with mild interest that there certainly were a lot of students with unfamiliar faces...either just moving back to the town after all of the strange incidents of the past year or moving in for the first time with their families as part of the Shogun's 'Disaster Relief Program'. It didn't really matter to him why they were here, however. What mattered was that the were all under the same school roof together, right? And as the music played, the Vice-President watched the gathered crew and extended a hand towards the crowd, an invitation to take the initiative in their own school experience...and in this gathering as well.

"With that said, feel free to partake in refreshments...provided by the Student Council in conjunction with the Hanamuras of the local Junes...and as you get to know the students here around you, should you feel the urge, you are welcome to take to this pavilion and introduce yourselves...or sing along with the music...as you please. ...Thank you all, very much." In a smooth motion he had bowed, set down the microphone and made his way towards the table where the potato chips had been resting...and as he plucked a chip from one of the bags he looked at it for a moment with an inquisitive sort of look. Salty, fried, probably excess calories...it didn't matter. The chip was at his lips in a moment, and then...without even thinking...he'd EAT IT! ...And then another handful made its way onto a paper plate before his legs carried him towards the drinks, an example for all the rest of the students to follow if they so chose. Because that was what the Vice-President was meant to be, was it not? An example for the other students...even if their decision to follow or not remained entirely their own.

Rednal Ak'Thias

Well...Parties were parties, right? It was easier to just welcome everyone at once than it was to try and hold parties for each of them individually, he supposed, and things could have been worse. Ah, well. His face brightened a moment later. "Oy, Ga-chan!" he called, waving to a familiar pink-haired girl. "Come on and meet our new friend!" By which he was probably referring to Loa... it was a shame he hadn't seen Kana show up yet, but then, a party might be just a little bit too much for her... she might prefer to stay at home for now, though he hoped she would surprise him by turning up anyway. The more comfortable she got with society, the happier he was going to be. Smiling girls were much better than sad, nervous ones, after all, even if he did enjoy comforting them...

After being able to somewhat enjoy a meal at Aiya's, and not getting punished by Mataki, Nix returned to class with Amelia. Luckily the day continued without a hitch, though the girl was now worried about being on the Student Council after hearing Teros was on it as well. She didn't know what a Club Manager did but it would've been rude to deny it after the president was kind enough to offer it.. Plus the snowy haired girl didn't want to anger him again. At least Amelia and Minori were on the Council as well so she would know some friendly faces.

That was how Nix ended up here at the Hilltop, the Student Council was throwing a party to welcome all new students to Yasogami High. The student was impressed by how Yasuo had things set up so far, things were looking promising at this rate. "..I wonder how I can help." The girl wondered aloud as she scanned the Hilltop, seeing some familiar faces bunched in with the arriving students.

Saiga Giriko, And Jo(shu) Michieru, students of 3-3
Twitch, twitch
"Saiga. Giriko." she called quietly, watching (shu) back up a little. "My NAME, is Saiga, GIRIKO. I'm not your Ga-Chan, you silver-haired Creep!"
God, first the green haired boy, then several others, and now this guy! Who was this girl she kept getting confused with?!

Jo(shu) moved over after she snapped at the boy, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Giriko, calm down...this is a party, after all." Jo(shu) called quietly, the girl laxing as she wrapped her arm in his.

"You owe me....So much for this." she muttered to (shu), leaning her head on his shoulder.
"I'll pay you back....Sai~ga." he cooed back, smirking a bit as he spoke. He'd figured the only way he could get THOSE people to stop bugging him was to be taken.....Even if he wasn't really interested in dating for a while. Saiga was probably the only person sane enough for him to ask of, without worrying about her falling for him, siccing demons on him, summoning some goddess, spreading rumors, or knocking his block clear off.....more than once.
Saiga planted her elbow in (shu)'s ribcage, ribbing him for his excess playing with her name.
"Keep it cool, lover-boy." she sneered, walking. "Or I'll elbow you lower next time.

Gulp
"N...Noted."

Karu Raiku

He had heard there was some goings on, welcoming new students or something of that nature. Probably was a good idea to be social and most likely there was going to be some people he knew around the area. There was already someone he was friends with that he almost instantly saw when he got to the hilltop even through the bit of commotion he had heard while he was walking up the hill. Couldn't make out exactly what the issue was but it sounded like someone was angry. "Hey there Jo(shu), what's up?" He called out to his classmate who was with some pink haired girl that he didn't really know, but he knew one person and that that was good enough for him. After calling out the senior he knew, he looked around to see if there was anyone else he knew, there was a few people he recognized, but wasn't exactly on first name basis with them at the moment.

W.Y.N.N., and Loa Recctear
Loa seemed to slide back at Rednal's words, looking at the pink haired girl who snapped at him.
Hahaha, she doesn't seem happy. Loa thought with a smirk, enjoying the show already. She turned her eyes about, closing one to get a bird's eye view of the scenario.
"She doesn't sound happy, 'Nal." she called with a chuckle, eyeing the food. Was this....something for anyone to take? Or was it just for a select few? Hmmm....

WYNN herself moved over to the grill, quietly.
"Temperatures seem...Dangerous levels." she called quietly to herself, "Suggested procedures...Would involve the removal of the food before one is burned...
Her eyes then turned to the spread of other snacks, as she moved over.
May I please have some of these?" she called quietly, despite no one there to answer her. The other student granted them permission to partake in the refreshments, and welcomed them. She nodded quietly, before grabbing a few of the chips and Soda.
This should be sufficent.. she thought to herself, glancing around the area. Perhaps...She would introduce herself to others later......Maybe..

Rednal Ak'Thias

It wasn't often that Rednal was paying little attention to girls, though in the back of his mind, he was glad that the new girl seemed to be amused. Most of his attention, however, was occupied with that most ubiquitous of Japanese items: the almighty Cell Phone. Click-click click click-cl-click clickity. With the ease of use common to Japanese teenagers reared in modern society, buttons were pressed and a message was composed. This was the correct course of action, wasn't it? People had so many thoughts and opinions... urgh. Hopefully there wouldn't be a mass of bodies on the hill before Genji could get here.

Quote:

Hey, would you mind coming to the party for the new students up on the big hill? I think I just saw a clone of somebody I know, and I could really, REALLY use your thoughts on her. I'll be glad if it's nothing, but if something's going on here, I want to find out sooner rather than later. I mean, the last time I saw a clone was... y'know. That time we met.

User ImageAmelia M. Heartilly

Amelia looked about the place, liking how everything was set up and saw that the Vice President already had everything underway. Now it was up to everyone else to go on ahead and communicate, maybe make some friends and some sort. The girl wasn't sure how to go about it, she'll be honest, but she'll just think it as another sort of gathering that her parents use to do when she was younger. She adjusted her sun dress for a moment but her attention was taken when she heard a bit of a bitter yell from a girl, looking up to notice Jo(shu) with a girl a pink hair. Amelia looked towards the direction of where she was yelling and saw Rednal at the other end, which only got her to chuckle some. What did he say? Looked like he was preoccupied with the phone, now, Amelia now looking back towards the pink-haired one. Wait... she's seen her before, right?

"Hm..." Well might as well, this gathering was meant for people to commune after all. And by the way she was clinging onto the guy, she was assuming that perhaps they were.. dating? Or...? Amelia stepped forward, raising her hand to give a wave over to Jo(shu). "Michiru!" she called out, going over to him. "Hello, haven't seen you in awhile. Got real preoccupied with summer?" Violet eyes went over to look at the pink-haired girl. "And it looks like you brought someone with you." Violet eyes looked over towards the one of pink hair, growing somewhat curious. "Hello, nice to meet you."

Saiga Giriko, And Jo(shu) Michieru, students of 3-3
"Giriko. Saiga, Giriko. 3-3." Saiga piped in, hearing the girl approach, then bowing. "I'm Jo(shu)'s girlfriend."
Jo(shu) let out a slight sigh of relief, glad Saiga didn't snap, and was keeping up the act.
"Summer was busy...." he called, gesturing at a pair of girls around the area. "Two of my sisters decided to swing into town you see....and I had to play the Tutor, and designated parent..."
Lucky me
"It's great Fun Spending the summer working, isn't it?" he added, with a light chuckle, waving a hand down at her. "How about you Heartily? Have a better Summer?"
Hearing another voice, he turned, noticing another boy.
"Oh, Sup Karu? How's Ashe?" he added, smiling light. "Have a good summer yourself?"
He was already a popular target for this already...Wasn't he? Hopefully, he wouldn't be tugged in too many ways later on....But at least he had some people to talk to, yeah?

Saiga looked around the area, glancing at the food on the table. She'd have to bug (shu) to move over there in a minute, when he was done with his friends....Either that, or she could just go off on her own, either one. She hadn't had much of a lunch thanks to the little scene with (shu)'s friends.....So, now was a good time to catch up on that.
