[The City of Rumors]
Sumaru is a city that has seen more than its share of supernatural events and tragedies of the city-wide and personal kind. Large, bustling, and undeniably stylish, there are several locations which tourists and locals alike tend to frequent whenever they are in town. However, the most significant fact about the city beyond even its interesting locales and its history of tragedy is the property which gave it a nickname...the City of Rumors. An unusual thing occurs whenever a rumor is spread and believed widely enough in Sumaru City...that is, that the rumor tends to be proven a reality, no matter how outlandish it might seem. There are rumormongers who thrive in the city for just this very purpose, spreading things which might prove interesting just to see what might happen, dealing in information with little consideration to the harm they might be causing. And it is on this basis of gossip-becoming-real that many of the city's greatest tragedies occurred and continue to occur, with only the determined intervention of the city's unseen hero...a biker in red...that tends to keep it at bay.
It was also the location for the 'Joker' Incident, and most importantly, the events of Persona War 2 which solidified the current Shogun's position atop the country.
Locations in Sumaru City include: Seven Sisters High School, Kasugayama (Cuss) High, the Kuzunoha Detective Agency, Pachinko Silver Parlor, the Space and Aeronautics Museum, an Abandoned Warehouse that is infamous for its supernatural rumors, and the Alaya Shrine amongst others...
