~::Tokyo::~ [The Capital]
Located in old Edo province is the capital of the proud nation of Japan, the sprawling city of Tokyo. Divided into its many districts, there are an innumerable number of government buildings, entertainment centers, and things to do in general throughout the city for anyone who decides to make the pilgrimage to the country's truest metropolis. Located almost at the exact center of the city is the Emperor's Estate where current Emperor [Cid Raines] and his proud Shogun and 'Hero of the Nation' [Motonari Mori] reside, and nearby is the new Diet Building, where the heads of the many different groups that have influence over the nation come together to discuss bills, laws, and the future of Japan. In nearby Ikebukuro and Odaiba there are a countless number of entertainment options, and the all-important Tokyo Tower where several of the government's more interesting secrets are kept under wraps by their loyal followers...and some who are not so very loyal.
Many unique groups claim their home to be here, some under the direction of the Shogun...and some who are decidedly not.
Locations in Tokyo include: Tokyo Tower, Ryogoku Kokugikan (the sumo/boxing arena), Chiba Park, Ueno Park, Ikebukuro Entertainment District, the Embryon Headquarters, the Devil King Headquarters, and others... Quote: Distance/Time by Train to Inaba: 8 hours, 25 minutes

Raidou Kuzunoha the XIX"Mm-hmm. Yeah, there's been an uptick in unrest and- whoops, hang on!" Raidou tossed the cellphone up into the air and grabbed her sword with both hands as she carved through a berserk demon. She caught the phone and brought it back to her ear a moment later. "I've kept them under wraps so far, but if anyone shows up to lead them, it could get nasty." A rapid series of slices, wrapped in the green aura of the Raidou line's techniques, sent another demon into the dirt. "It's been calm for awhile, though, so this might just be an anomaly. Mm-hmm. Yeah." she nodded, despite the impossibility of the person on the other end of the line seeing. It was a Kuzunoha's job to keep the peace... at least Inaba seemed to have finally cooled down. Not much had happened there for a couple of months now, and there were a few people left to watch over it. "Don't worry, I've got it. See you at dinner." She flipped the phone shut, slid it into its holster, and drove her fist into the face of a demon that had been leaping at her. "Come on, kids, I can do this all day." she told the little demon punks. "Settle down and stop bothering people... unless you just want to play with Alice or something?" her mouth twitched in amusement as the demons promptly prostrated themselves. Higher-level demons had too much pride, but the low-level demons that filled the world (and, indeed, were most of what the Yatagarasu dealt with; major incidents were actually quite rare overall) tended to be of the type that weren't going to screw around with demons so far above them. "Didn't think so. All right, you see this map here? I want all of you to go to this area over here. It's a reserve we're making, where you'll be free to be yourselves and- yes?""I cAn'T rEaD MaPs!"Raidou sighed. "Have a friend show you the way." she told the illiterate. Oh, demons... so many types to deal with.

Ryofu
A young woman rolled back and forth, staring at the magazine she was holding in her hand. These islanders were crazy, the lot of them... but they came up with some truly fascinating ideas. Many of her own land's clothing lent itself to patterns worked into the fabric; different colors and dyes were used to produce the most beautiful designs, but much of the clothing itself was only one-layered, with perhaps thicker edges and an accessory or two. There was a lot of beauty in simple things, and these islanders knew at least that much... but she'd never realized you could do so much by bulking up the dresses. If only Balmung were the type who'd even notice... she thought sourly. She certainly didn't plan on dressing up more for anyone else. Well, that was how it went, she supposed. The Embryon hadn't had too many missions lately; indeed, for the most part, they'd largely been keeping their heads down... which was an awkward feeling for a girl whose usual habit was to go stomp problems to death. Orders were orders, though, and she turned the page with a sigh.

Raidou Kuzunoha the XIXClick-click. Click. "And... send." Raidou said, her lips twitching slightly. Faster than the Crow flew, information surged into the digital highways, and at her command, a set of instructions had been issued to various bureaucrats and newsfolk. The Yatagarasu had rather heavily infiltrated the Government, providing both points of contact and ways to control information, which was considered to be at least as important as the actual field-work. The Yatagarasu wasn't merely interested in solving spiritual problems; it intended to see to it that, as much as possible, people didn't even know those problems existed. Come morning, people would find a story a few pages into their daily paper, explaining some (utterly made-up) actions of a terrible, terrible religious cult. An organization that kidnapped children and marked them as sacrifices, performing twisted medical experiments that disrupted the child's body, all in preparation for a heinous human sacrifice on a particular date. It was a tale likely to result in revulsion and disgust among a wide section of the populace... with an evocation of pity for the poor child who'd been rescued by a heroic special forces unit operating under the authority of the Shogunate. It was hilariously patriotic, really, but people tended to respond well to things that put their Government in a good light and some faceless monsters in a bad light. Especially when the Government already enjoyed popular support. It was fairly normal for the Yatagarasu to play both sides of the game, so that it could end up coming out ahead no matter who won... and direct things to its interest. This particular one was more of a personal one, though. It did have a public relations boost for the Government that they were absolutely going to be permitted to take advantage of, and a few discreet notes had been slipped under doors (as it were) to make sure they knew it. Each aspect of the story had been carefully crafted, of course. All of the tattoos had been done by the cult, and over so much of the girl's body that removing them would be incredibly difficult (and painful)... and besides, she'd just been rescued. The spike was the result of a form of surgery the terrible cultists had performed, and the opinion of medical experts (unnamed, of course, but they could trot one out if need be) was that attempting it remove it was too likely to harm the girl... so in it stayed, at least until technology advanced. Even her eyes had been explained away as the result of a permanent change to her body by drugs that she'd been forcibly given. She was moving to Inaba because... well... so were lots of other people as part of the Government's campaign to revitalize the traumatized little town, and where better to be the new girl than among a bunch of other new people? She'd be able to fit in much better there, the poor girl, and she'd have people her own age, also new, to talk to. Her parents were going to be there, too. Of course, doing it to remind the Shogunate of the benefits of aligning with the Yatagarasu was only a part of it... there was also the fact that Raidou rather wanted to develop the girl's social skills. There were quite a lot of reasons of that type, actually. The biggest and simplest, though, was simply because she'd wanted to do something nice for the girl... and remind her of her humanity. She should probably send someone over to drop off the girl's new uniform, though... Hmhmhm.

Raidou Kuzunoha the XIXA few smiles crossed Raidou's face as she read through the day's report on how things were going in Inaba. Well, it seemed like they'd be able to handle it, although one of the reports was rather worrying... still, that was what she had all of her minions for. One thing you had to learn as a Kuzunoha was to not try to solve every problem yourself. It was actually one of the most difficult things; they were, explicitly and literally, problem-solvers. Usually the ones of last resort, with the intention that if they got involved, the problems would stop being such quite quickly. With that sort of idea, when you saw a problem, the urge was usually to go solve it. The problem was, there were far too many problems for one person to solve them all, so you had to delegate the less-important ones to others who were also capable of handling them. Not as well as you, perhaps... but not every solution needed to be perfect, or the best possible. Most people got along just fine with a solution that was merely 'good enough', and she'd had to learn to accept that. She'd done it quite awhile ago, of course. That was kind of the point of the lesson. The girl flipped her phone shut a moment later and glanced over her shoulder. "Well, let's get this over with." she said, smiling at the demons.

Shaka Zulu シャカ ズゥ Tokyo, the capital of Japan. One of these most popular places to be, everyone and anyone could be seen walking through the town. Time was irrelevant in this city. As the morning rises people could be seen walking, as the sun set people were still seen around the streets of Tokyo. There was always something to do here, always something to keep one’s mind distracted. Even in the night stores were still open, people continued to enjoy the outdoors. Everything was peaceful this night, or at least until one man arrived to the scene. Walking through the city was a man, an Africa. His height was around six feet, or eight if you were to count the abnormal size of his balled out afro. His hairstyle was eccentric to the point where citizens would stop and stare; perhaps even take pictures. That wasn’t the only distinction that made this man unnatural; his attire was the next thing that people were put into question. He choose to dawn a hakama. These clothing weren’t usually scene unless it was time for a parade. Wearing these normally made people snicker and produce rumors behind the man’s back, but he did not mind. No one would dare question the silent orochi member, Shaka Zulu, about how he dressed; his dead gaze was more than enough to steer people away. Usually he did not make any attempts to go out into the world like this, but today was a special day. His kitchen lacked the supplies necessary to conduct in cooking; the group had famished for far too long and Shaka made sure to correct that. After all, how good is a band of killers if their stomachs were weak and empty? Shaka took it upon himself to insure that they would be up to par for the next battle. He was carrying two bags, one full of various kinds of meat and vegetables; the other consisted of tools (knives and such,) to cut and mince each ingredient to perfection. Such a simple mission was perfect for the zulu warrior to par take, everything was going smoothly; all he needed to do now was to return home.

[9/17 - Evening] Tokyo was... well, "busy" might have been the mildest way of putting it, but even in this massive, crowded city, there were dark alleyways and places where people were instinctively reluctant to go. In one of these dark places, a perfect sphere of space abruptly twisted slightly, just a little out of alignment with the world around it... and then shifted back into alignment. Yet where there'd been naught but empty space, now there was a translucent, shaggy horned monster floating above the ground, and it raised its head to slowly peer around the area. Quote: A Paradox creature has appeared! The Multiverse King has asked the members of his Time Patrol to investigate and subdue it.

Lukas-Xhel FuraitaNo sooner did the sphere appear, did another figure start to emerge from a strange shift in the air...Much like a gate, opening it's doors for a new arrival...As the white haired figure stepped out, gripping a blade. "So, this is the thing MK wants us to look at?" Lukas started out, lightly. "Something tells me...this is gonna be a bit of a battle." Lukas palmed his blade, and lightly held the charm for good luck. "Let's uh...just make sure we can handle it, first." he added, closing his eyes. 'Don't let me down, Tithonius. he thought, gripping the blade in his hands...Preparing for a battle, even if he held back to investigate the strange being first....Quote: Lukas is on the case! Suika Ibuki
With no sooner that Lukas had appeared from the gate of destinations unknown, a slurred laughter came from behind, with a gourd in hand. "It definitely looks so." Suika said, bumbling out, in her constant flux of drunkenness. Looking at the anomaly that was before them, she laughed as she let herself go into her demonic form, or as much of a demonic change was necessary. She never was used to this universe's concept of concealing their demon nature. But, by kissing her gourd and pulling the cap off, she was ready for whatever was going to happen, topside or bottomside.
"Also, is it just me or is it a bit into the ground?"

???
As the unnatural creature formed, it didn't take long for other people to start arriving - which may not have been much of a surprise, given the amount of foresight the Multiverse King had. Nevertheless, the creature that appeared had odd proportions - arms and hands that were too big for its body, horns in unnatural places, and a mouth too big for its face. Its entire body was somewhat airy and translucent, and it slowly sniffed with a too-wide nose.
"I smell you... Filthy betrayer! Die, and fall into Yomi where you belong!" It raised one hand, and a burst of energy flowed across the battlefield to sap the energy of those present.Quote: Waves of Fatigue: Matarunda + Marakunda. Info:HP: ???/??? Resistances: ??? Known Abilities:-Waves of Fatigue: Matarunda + Marakunda. Siona
As the wave of weakening energy spread across the battlefield, a light flashed on a nearby rooftop and a pale-haired figure with fox ears and a tail nimbly jumped down, landing behind Lukas and Suika. As she did, a white fox mask formed in one of her hand and she pressed it onto her face - where it stuck fast, though it wasn't immediately clear how it had done so. "Well, well, he did find something interesting for us, didn't he?" she mused. "This is an Aoandon - the spirit of a woman who died pursuing an ill-fated relationship. I wonder what it's doing here...? Eh, doesn't matter, I guess. What does matter is that I'm here to back you up. Don't pull your punches - it's tougher than it looks."

Leif Wolfgang "Well, this looks like it could be fun, haven't fought something like this before!"A voice called out from above, and, still surrounded by a faint purple cloud, Leif stood on an air conditioning unit, staring down at the blue beast with a grin on his face. "You weaklings ready for a beat down? You'd better at least be able to keep up, or I might get bored with you. This Multiverse what's-it guy may think you're worth something, but I don't care about that one bit!"He wasn't usually this talkative, but the thought of a fight against something he'd never seen before, and that was apparently quite strong, was actually exciting the boy. The thought of sharing the fight with others dampened his excitement, but as long as they were fun, he could stand sharing. "Well, if you lot aren't going to start, I will!"Nonchalantly taking a step forward, Leif dropped from the unit he was standing on, directly above the beast, and fell towards it's unprotected back, aiming to stomp it into the ground. Lukas-Xhel Furaita"Ah? H..hey! Don't go charging in there recklessly!" Lukas called out, flexing his sword. "Ah shi..shoot." His parents weren't around to snap at him for profanity...But he had a feeling the multiverse king telling on him. As the strange demon sapped their strength, Lukas sighed, and closed his eyes. "Tithonius..." he called...the surge of energy flowing through him...As the murky, ethereal figure emerged from the sea of his soul....His own inner self, given form.... His...Persona. "I don't suppose any of you are scanners, are you? Ahahaa.." he added nervously, focusing a surge of energy into his body. He would have much rather been sure before he attacked...But... He could charge up, at least...Quote: Lukas is on the case! Suika Ibuki
With all the others finally descending onto the strange anomaly, Suika took only a second to see who was here, before hearing the request that Lukas gave. "I don't know what you are talking about, but we need to beat her before she beats us!" Suika commented as she felt herself slowing down as well as feeling weaker. Wanting to combat this feeling of weakness encroaching her, She allowed herself to be enveloped in demonic energies, powering herself up for the next strike.
"And woman, could you calm down? otherwise I want to at least have a good after-battle drink~" Quote: Suika: Power Charge Matarunda 1/3 Masukunda 1/3

Aoandon
Leif's fist sunk into the Aoandon's body, even as the others charged their energies. Still, it was clearly going to take more than one punch to bring this ghostly figure down - and in retaliation, it raised one hand and made a quick gesture. The air above the sudden battlefield fogged up, and seconds later a number of icy spears rained down from the sky... and were pointedly more dangerous to those who'd had their defenses lowered. "Betrayer... they took all they were given, and destroyed it! Never again!"Quote: Mabufudyne: High Ice Damage to All Enemies Info:HP: ???/??? Resistances: ??? Normal: Phys Known Abilities:Mabufudyne: High Ice Damage to All Enemies -Waves of Fatigue: Matarunda + Marakunda. Siona
Spears of ice crashed down on Siona as well as the others, and she winced as a few struck her - although her mask helped to mitigate a little bit of the damage, and her sacred aura quite a lot more. Between that and her raiment, she'd be able to endure blows for quite awhile.
The celestial fox considered for a moment as she watched the others act, then hopped forward and tossed a small paper talisman towards Lukas. As it neared him, it erupted into a circle of light that briefly surrounded his body, augmenting his power with a divine blessing. "That should help." she said cheerfully. Despite the seriousness of the situation, she was rather pleased with the opportunity to give a blessing to a human. She wasn't a terrible fighter herself, but... as a guardian goddess, her true skills were displayed when she had the chance to aid and support others.Quote: Action: Blessing of the Heavens: Give another character the benefit of a Charge on their next attack - this stacks with the normal Charge skills.

Leif Wolfgang "Ahahahaha"Leif laughed as his hit connected, for the first time in a while an enemy hadn't died in one hit. He didn't even bother to defend himself as the ice came raining down upon him, he was just too happy. "You better not die too fast, whatever you are! Let me have some fun!"Ignoring whatever was going on behind him that his companions were doing, Leif quickly spun in place, launching a powerful sideways kick at the monster's arm, his hope being to break it if he could.
