Hello fellow Gaians!
I'm looking for violin piece ideas for a recital. Sonatas, Preludes, Fantasies, Contemporary, Concerti. Ok, maybe not concerti, but everything else is fair game. Any time period. Any genre.
I'm open to ideas. smile

Chaconne by Vitali is a beautiful piece and Praeludium and Allegro by Kreisler is also fun.

I did some hunting for pieces I thought would be cool (some of which I couldn't find a recording and so only could tell what it sounded like through playin them):
arrow Les Adieux- Sarasate arrow Nocturne - Hubay arrow Water under Snow is Heavy - Dyson (2000) arrow Hymn to the Sun -Rimsky Korsakov
I guess the feel I want to go for is thematic music. Something relaxing, and with a jazz or song-like quality to it confused
So I'm narrowing my search to late period romantic and contempoary (post 1930) works.
I'm also open to songs that fit that description and are arrangeable for violin and piano.
