Fresh off the boat Gerulf Albrecht Schreck has come to America land of opportunity. He had a simple dream to own his own business, that would not be an issue except for the minor detail that he is a gun runner and dealer. his own business supplies the 'tools' of the trade to the finest criminals and gangsters in Chicago. If you are in the business to arm yourself he is your man. Just remember not to waggle you tongue about it or you might end up in a box.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Gerulf sat in the shop. He was shocked at how well this hole in the wall was doing. He had sold three refrigerators the first day. It was sort of irritating. His fake business had become successful and his real business had all but dried up, but he was going to change that. He had an idea.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Tired of dealing with ditzy american housewives and their absent-minded husbands, Gerulf closed the shop early. He had several crates with enough guns and ammo to occupy Poland and no buyers. The Irish were taking their sweet time ( He suspected Seamus may be cheating on him...) and he'd not heard anything from the Chinese since just after Chinatown turned into a war-zone...

Arturo Rivera Art needed weapons. One of his men had mentioned an appliance store with a shady side. While some of his men were out looking for Esperanza, Art decided he had better arm himself and his men. Arturo turned the corner and came upon the appliance store. The sign read closed. Arturo let out an annoyed sigh. He pulled a slip of paper and pen from his pocket and wrote...'The Bull Fighter, 8 o'clock pm, ask for Rivera.' Arturo slipped the paper under the door and left the appliance store.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM After driving around for what seemed like ages, Gerulf decided that he would check on the shop. He didn't know why. I know why. PLOT. That's why.He unlocked the door, stepped in, and nearly broke his neck on a flyer for what he was sure was some sleazy Mexican restaurant. He was about to throw it away when he noticed there was something written on it. He read the note and decided that he could use some new customers for his real job. This had to be someone wanting to buy guns. He'd been here two weeks and he'd figured out two things. Alcahol might, just might, be bad for you (being German, he wasn't entirely convinced) and every local mafia had their headquarters in some kind of eatery. It was mind boggling. He walked back to his car and while he drove he puzzled over the possible health risk involved in going out to eat in Chicago...

A month has passed in the windy city of Chicago. It is now early April Spring may be here but there is still a n** in the evening air. It leaves you raw much like the long held tension of the uneasy truce between the gangs. The only question now is who will strike first and where?

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM In the month that had gone by Gerulf had been busy trying to make his actual business more profitable. He had another order from the Chinese. Yu wanted more SMGs, pistols, and ammo. He also ordered another crate of Kar98's. Gerulf had no idea what he was doing with that much firepower, but he frankly doesn't want to. He also made some contacts over seas and shipped out rifles to Africa, some pistols to South America, some dynamite to Canada... No word from the Irish lately, but that was something he didn't mind too much, hurt as he was at Seamus forgetting him. No more contact with the Spanish either, not that that was a real loss.

Johnathan Hartman My car slowed to a stop outside a shop. It looked like the usual hole in the wall place, nothing to fancy outside, store goods in the windows. Not what I expected, then again, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Maybe a little more run down, maybe just a little to flourished, something to put it out of place. Then again, I was getting ahead of myself. There wasn't any evidence this shop had any dealings with the gangs in the city. Either way, I needed to talk with the owner and hopefully walk away with something. "Excuse me? Is there a Mr. Schreck here?"

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Gerulf was sitting behind the desk at the back of the shop, absentmindedly smoking his pipe when the bell on the door jingles and a man in a sloppy suit walks in. "Ja, Ich ist Herr Schreck. Vas can Ich do for you? Ist you looking for, eh, something zat makes sings hot? Maybe kalt? Or clean, ja?"

Johnathan Hartman I walked up to the counter and put my hands in my pockets. No need to flash the badge just yet. "I was just looking for some answers is all, and I'd appreciate all the help I can get." Let's see how I can play this off, maybe as a private detective, or pull the cop routine to show I'm serious. Either way, I had a feeling he'd test out how good I was at bluffing. I hated playing cards.

Johnathan Hartman "A friend of a friend of mine passed away. She was a sweet young thing so her death came as a surprise. Of course suspicion wasn't too far behind. A favour was called, details given, and now here I am trying to fulfill my end of the bargain. Girl named Fiona Hayes, you know her?" It was the truth I was digging for. If Mr. Schreck helped me out, I'd have a shovel, if not, I'd be stuck with a spade. Either way, I'd get to the bottom eventually, and once the truth came to light justice could be served.

Shayla Fagan It was her last deliver for today then she could go home and be at peace for awhile. Ever since her assistant had dropped off the face of the Earth she had, had to do a lot more leg work. Arriving outside the shop Shayla shook as much of the rain from herself as she could, then smoothed her hair back out of her eyes. What had started as a sunny warm morning had turned into a early evening deluge. The wax-paper package still under her arm she walked briskly up to the front desk. Shayla saw that the man at the desk was speaking to another man, probably some customer buying a stove for the little wife or whomever he was playing house with at the moment. "Excuse me I have an order here for a Mr. Shreck. My assistant took the order for the suit then quit and left me flat. There was no contact information on his card except his name and this place. Do you know where I might find him?" She asked politely trying to keep herself from shivering as she realized how cold the March rain had made her.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Gerulf shifted his gaze, half standing to look over at the woman who had just come in. "Ach, mein anzug." He stands fully, eying the man briefly and briskly walking over to the front. "Vell, lets see." he says eagerly extending his arms.
