Jacques jumped off to one side as Isabella lunged at him with a growl, just barely dodging her attack in the process. Mordecai hovered nearby, clasping and unclasping his claws appendages quite nervously as he waited his turn. Luna watched from a nice spot near the young girl, her ears flicked back, and Giselle remained floating somewhere nearby, invisible until needed.

Seraphine stood a ways off, her hands on her hips and a critical expression on her face, while Luna looked more displeased than anything else besides her. On Luke's advice - actually it hadn't really been advice, per se, more like just conveying how he himself trained sometimes - Sera had ordered her pokemon to battle each other in turns to train them. While her stance was a haughty one, it was more forced than anything - it's how she would have looked before she lost everything, including Anastasia. It was just a very small, insignificant way to maybe feel like everything was normal again. Almost. It actually wasn't really working all that well.

Yuri was out and about his usual business again, and his face was finally starting to heal up. The cut on his cheek was just a mark now, a scar that would likely fade with time. The swelling on his jaw had gone down, but there was still a faint purplish bruise there. Not to mention it was still a bit stiff, but that would take time to correct.

He was venturing through the park with Repede at his side. Now that he'd gotten his sword back, he could stand to do a little training and get himself back on track again. However, one particular sight gave him pause.

Didn't he know that girl from somewhere? He then looked at her Pokemon and their.. color coordination. Oh right, -that- girl. There was a decidedly annoyed expression as he remembered the incident at the beach. Yeah, best to avoid that one for now. So Yuri kept moving. There was a bit of woods in the park, a more secluded spot, and that's where he headed.

If Sera saw him, she gave no indication. Likely she wouldn't even recognize him without his glaringly yellow outfit from the beach. Giselle did, however, although she hadn't seen him before. Since he passed by, she refrained from reappearing.

Not too far off from where Yuri ended up, a small brown Zubat was hanging upside-down from a tree branch, sleeping the day away. An ear twitched every now and then, but the small pokemon didn't wake up to move or flee. It was probably used to hearing people around.

Having found a decent spot, Yuri withdrew his sword, and took a moment to look at the blade. It still kinda amazed him that he'd gotten it back, and so soon. That guy... he was a strange one. He had almost resigned to the fact that he'd lost his weapon for good. Which wouldn't have been all that great for Yuri, really. No use really thinking about that anymore, though, and Yuri did a couple practice swings.

Repede sat and watched as his partner did his exercises, but soon enough caught a different smell. Looking up, the Growlithe saw the sleeping Zubat. He gave a wuff once Yuri paused in his training, causing the man to look his way.

"What is it Repede?"

The dog then looked up, and Yuri's gaze followed.

Huh, a Pokemon. He didn't expect to see a wild one out here. He'd seen Zubat before, and didn't really think much of them. They were kinda annoying, ugly little things. Which made his thoughts go back to the girl he'd just passed.

And then a sneaky smirk spread across his face.

Putting his sword away, Yuri then bent down and picked up a small stone. Looking up at the Zubat again, he judged the distance, and the weight of the stone as he tossed it up and down in his hand. Pulling back his arm, he then threw the rock at the Pokemon.

The Zubat, having a coat pattern similar to the trees from which he hung, was likely very used to living in forests. Probably this park, to be specific, judging from how he didn't even move when Yuri set himself up not too far away. Whatever the reason the Zubat didn't fly away - stupidity or overconfidence or what have you - he would immediately regret all his poor life choices the instant the rock collided with his small body - more specifically, one of his wings that was wrapped around his small body.

With a surprised shriek, the tiny bat Pokemon flailed his wings unceremoniously as he plummeted to the ground. A small 'thud' and a few flaps later he was up in the air, although rather wobbly, and began a series of small screeches while he flew to try and escape whatever had hit him.

Huh, he had hoped to take out that Zubat with one hit. This little bugger was tougher than he looked. Using his quick reflexes, Yuri picked up another stone and hurled it at the Zubat again. This time aiming for it's head.

Repede watched this boredly and even yawned widely before laying down on the ground. He was going to stay out of this. His partner was more than capable of handling himself against a Zubat.

Sorry Yuri. It looked like he'd never gone to a safari zone before - then he might realize that throwing rocks only made Pokemon angry. Hurt them too, but also made them angry and try to run away.

Which was exactly what the little zubat was attempting to do when another rock sailed through the air and slammed into the back of one ear and thus his head. With a sharp cry the small Pokemon tumbled through the air and down to the ground again. It was hidden briefly by rustling bushes before it took to the air again, extremely pitifully this time - it wobbled in the air due to one injured wing, and the ear that had been hit was now flopped forward and slightly crooked. Despite his efforts to use echolocation effectively, his injured ear made it much more difficult. So much so, in fact, that he bumped into a tree. He was undeterred though - albeit extremely distressed - and made one final attempt to flee.

Safari zone? What the hell is that? Yeah, Yuri's never gone. They don't exactly have one of those in Grande Ile. But at least in the Safari Zone they have Safari balls. Yuri doesn't own a single Pokeball.

Watching as the Zubat fell into the bushes, Yuri wandered on over there. Then he watched again as the Pokemon flailed around in the air. Man, he kinda felt sorry for the little thing. He didn't expect it to be this hard to take out. Time to put it out of it's misery.

After the Zubat ran into the tree and tried to take off again, Yuri swung his sheathed sword at it. Hopefully hitting it hard enough to knock it out.

The poor unfortunate zubat was not expecting rocks when he settled to take a nap - nor was he expecting sheathed swords to hit him in the head, either, but that's what happened. The blow to the head knocked him back into the tree, and he flopped to the ground in an unconscious heap.

Welp. That seemed to do the trick. Repede even came over and sniffed at the fallen Zubat. He then sat and looked up at Yuri. Well?

Yuri stooped down and picked up the Zubat. Eh... it's kinda beat up, but it'll work! Holding the passed out Zubat in his hand, the man started to walk back in the direction he'd seen Sera.

Seraphine was still standing in the same spot as before when Yuri had passed her earlier, although her hands were now folded across her chest. Various pokemon of hers jumped at each other with a myriad of attacks, doing whatever they felt like since their mistress wasn't giving them specific orders.

Giselle saw the man approaching first, noting how his feet carried him straight towards her Mistress. Well. "Maaagius," she cried in a soft whisper as she appeared in mid-air next to Seraphine, and pointed a tendrily appendage towards the man.

Seraphine blinked her pale green eyes at her ghost-type before following her gaze and her point to... a guy carrying... an unconscious, pathetic-looking Zubat? And he had a Growlithe......wait. That was that guy and his Growlithe! The one from the beach, who wore that atrocious outfit. What was his name again..? It was... uhh.... Something. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it again with a soft, confused frown. This was just.. odd. What happened to that poor Zubat?

And Yuri just waltzed right up to Seraphine, taking notice of the Pokemon as they go at each other while she just stood there. You know.. isn't Pokemon training actually supposed to... you know.. require participation in some way? Oh well, whatever. It's not like he really cares anyway.

Yuri then bent down to more her level with a smug smirk on his face. Repede just followed along behind him, watching with a bored look on his face.

"Hey, I saw this and thought of you."

He then held out the unconscious Zubat to the girl. He actually practically shoved it at her, while reaching out to put a hand on her head.

"This is Tact, and he requires a lot of care and commitment. Treat him well and he'll treat you well."

Repede groans and rolls his eye. Really Yuri? REALLY?

One of her eyebrows slowly started to rise as he walked closer with that unconscious pokemon in one hand, continuing to a peak when he leaned in (she leaned back a little) and spoke. "Um?"

Giselle was directly beside her Mistress, staring at Yuri with large red eyes. You know, in case he tried anything funny. Or, well, funnier.

Things were happening fast - the Zubat was shoved into her hands at the same time as his hand was descending on her head, which she jerked off to one side so he couldn't -- and almost dropped the Zubat. She managed not to drop it though, and stared down at it, completely confused. Why the hell did such a pathetic looking Zubat remind him of her? And what a ridiculous name. Seriously? "What the hell did you do to it?" Him. Whatever.

Yuri just continued to look smug as he stood up straight and folded his arms. He then gave a roll of his shoulders in a shrug at her question.

"I caught it. That's what you trainers do right? Beat them up and catch them?"

Nevermind that he's never actually seen that process in action and totally did it wrong. He did it his way. And Yuri always does things his way.

Seraphine blinked and stared down at the Zubat - it looked like he'd stoned it or something, or hit it really hard - then gave Yuri an extremely skeptical look. "You mean your Growlithe fought it? You certainly didn't catch it - you catch them by throwing a pokeball at them." A pause. "When they're still, y'know, awake." Seriously, what kind of trainer was this guy?
