Cecil scowled and swatted away Sawyer's finger as if it were a fly. "Why would you want to sing with me?" he grumbled before pressing his cheek against the palm of his hand. "People will probably think I'm your son." He winced when he heard two off tune voices and turned to see, of course, the two hard workers swaying from side to side with arms on each others' shoulders, singing like drunken soldiers.

He shrugged. "Anything's better than singing alone," he said, wincing at the sound of Fredrich and Cameron singing. It was a good thing that their significant others weren't here. Poor things would be dumped right then and there.

"Isn't that what just about every song is, though?" Cecil asked with a quirked eyebrow. Catching the look on Sawyer's eyes, the officer sighed and looked away. "Fine. But I'm not very good at singing so pick an easy song." By the time he said that Fredrich and Cameron were done and walking to their table with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
"Dija hear us? Huh? Dija?" asked a slumped and smiling Cameron.
"'f 'course 'y did. We ssssound so great!" spouted Fredrich, waving a hand around extravagantly to emphasize how great they sounded.

The two officers blearily watched the excited lawyer drag away a protesting chief.
"What a pedafile." hiccuped Cameron, smirking when Fredrich hissed and snorted with badly stifled laughter.

Cecil originally thought that singing karaoke wouldn't be so bad, but now that he was up on the stage, under the blinding spotlight, and in front of the eyes of many drunkards, he began to feel stage fright. "Umm... Maybe I should go back." he thought aloud with a nervous gulp.

Peering at the book Sawyer was flipping through, he stuck his hand out and poked a random song. "What about this?" he asked while squinting at the singer's name. Cher?

Cecil did as he was told then moved to stand by Sawyer's side. He looked like a kid at their school play. The one with stage fright, that is. He was paler than usual as all the eyes were on him. There were plenty of people wondering if he had just turned twenty-one, he could tell by their expressions. Hearing loud noise, he looked over to see Cameron and Fredrich cheering in their own special way.
"Whoo! Go sing da American Idzzel!" cheered Cameron as he clapped loudly.
Fredrich whooped and lifted his beer in a cheer. He gave it a quick chug then nudged the person next to him with his elbow. "Hey. Hey, thass my boss ov'r there." he said in a whisper that was actually louder than an average speaking voice and pointed to the empty space besides Cecil.
The blonde was unsure of whether to be comforted by their support or not. He looked at the screen as words showed and looked at Sawyer. "So how do I know who sings what?" he whispered away from the mic.
