Outcry

[ashes to the wind]

The silence was taken with one word
So harsh was that sound.
I couldn't recognize the voice, but it was familiar
It was vibrating through my very being.
Not a word but an outcry
As I slowly fell into nothingness.
Into that silence
That was all that I heard.
