It was a little less pitch black above the trees, and that was why Luke had decided to return to Camphoreon from his excursion to Sandalwood aloft his green and white Pidgeot companion rather than by walking directly through the forest - and it simply didn't seem wise to go traipsing about in the woods this time of day. He was surprised, then, when he heard shouting from below, when his green eyes found the shape of a person running around with what didn't seem to be much regard for where they were headed. A crazy person was his first thought, some enraged or insane individual taking out their excess energy by running around in the forest, but that was quickly discarded for more serious considerations. He remembered being at the edge of the forest when the ground collapsed, trapping his brother and himself underground. What if this person needed help or was in some kind of danger?
Well, the thought was in his head now, and he surely wouldn't be able to sleep later if he didn't check it out and confirm the state of things. A murmured word to Leste brought the Pidgeot wheeling gently down out of the sky, alighting in a clearing nearby to where he had spotted the half-crazed human. It was a short trip through the brush, the large bird moving beside him in preparation to defend her trainer, before he was facing the person. A girl, apparently, kind of on the short side with bright red hair. He raised an eyebrow in a troubled thought. Aside from her behavior, she didn't look especially crazy.
"Hey," he said, keeping his volume reasonable in hopes the sudden call wouldn't startle her, "are you all right? What's the matter?"
