The blazing colors of fall flared the land, burning every tree in bright oranges, red and yellows.
Many of the leaves still having a little more vitality to hang onto the branches as the wind swept through them, while others fluttered freely along the open landscape of the Kodo trails.

The trail was still in sight, one leading out of Saldalwood, a fare distance from the forest city.
A mane of brown flame, with an under blaze of orange billowed with a great volume from the tall standing form of a gray splattered Rapidash. hooves stamped firmly into the grass and leaves, while blue eyes locked on a smaller form, crouched to the earth a fare distance from it.

A much more slim figure, deep brown with a faint glimmer to her fur. Long, pink tufted ears draped behind her along the ground, narrowed pink eyes locked on the Rapidash.
All at once The Lopunny heard a call from behind her, a mark to launch an attack.
Thick muscled thighs tensed and with an impressive spring, the Lopunny leaped nigh into the air, and with just as much forced drive down, kicking food out at the Rapidash.

The Rapidash wasn't about to stand there and take the hit however, as soon as she was close enough he let out a powerful bay and leaped out of the way,
chunks of dirt and grass sprayed into the air from the impact, and leaves rustled around with more urgency as the two pokemon battled.

There were more pokemon out and about on the bright sunny autumn day, enjoying the last good days before winter kicked in. Even though it was getting chillier by the day, Abigail had only a light, unzipped coat on. This made plenty of sense considering she was also riding Epona sidesaddle. Or, rather, it would have been sidesaddle had she actually had a saddle for the hornless Rapidash. Regardless, the ex-breeder was content to perch on the fire-type's back as Epona walked along the path. Cameron swooped and dived overhead as quickly as a Togekiss could, occasionally making happy cries and trills.

On the ground, a pair of bunnies wove erratically around Epona and her still-new owner, not that the Rapidash paid them any mind. Finn was zigzagging every which way he could in an effort to stay out of his father's reach, and he was doing quite successfully now that the Lopunny was worn out. Duncan was still trying his best though to keep the Buneary within arm's reach - although he'd much prefer to just keep him in his arms, but his offspring had other ideas.

One such idea was to, quite suddenly, spot the strange Lopunny and Rapidash playing not too far off, and to immediately beeline in a bouncy run towards them. "Bun!"

Duncan skidded to a horrified halt before turning and darting after the Buneary, while Abigail patted Epona's side and the Rapidash obediently turned and started heading in that direction.

The Rapidash was quick to act after the Lopunny hit the ground, retaliating with his own attack and hooves and fire flew toward the shiny.
The Lopunny's eyes widened in surprise, lifting her arms up in a cross over her head to try and withstand most of the blow, that ended up knocking her back several feet.

"Pop! Watch your footwork! remember! not so heavy legged!"
the girl, who was obvious their trainer watched the two battle, her blond hair tied back in a small ponytail to keep the wind from knocking it around her face.

"LOP!" The Shiny snapped in reply, scrambling back to her feet and glaring at the Rapidash who was still advancing on her.
Neither of them saw that there was a young pokemon hurrying toward them, it was their trainer who noticed the new comer, and with a jolt of worry and surprise that the little pokemon might get caught up in between their battle she called out hurriedly "HOLD!" she took a step forward. "POP, PASTIN HOLD ATTACK"

Pastin pulled into a hard stop, blue eyes blinking in surprise, turning his head to look back at Rosie, wondering what the command was about before something hit his chest, hard.

Pastin might have obeyed the order, but Pop sure didn't, taking this opportunity to lash out at the Rapidash.
Leaping back a second later to avoid being hit by the larger stallion.

She didn't realize until she had landed back on the ground, that there was a Buneary not an arms length from her.
Pink eyes widened, before they narrowed
she snapped

"Pop! Pop stop!" rosie called, waving her arms, Oh please please say she was the little pokemon.

Abigail realized too late the situation her Buneary was running towards, and she had Epona stop so she could slide off and jog over faster. Curse wearing dresses sometimes! Epona snorted and trotted after her master, easily catching up and keeping stride with her.

Finn came to an abrupt halt when a lot of Lopunny suddenly landed almost directly in front of him, and not only that, it was a lot of Lopunny who seemed very angry with him. He made a noise and his ears drooped, but before anyone could do anything else Duncan landed behind him after a powerful leap and immediately scooped the Buneary into his arms and away from any harm. His lips curled back into a silent snarl and his pink eyes bore into the other Lopunny, as if daring her to do anything to his little bunny.

"Sorry!" Abigail called before she slowed to a halt near Duncan shortly after, and Epona paused next to her, considerably less out of breath than her master. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were battling. Finn," she gestured with one hand to the Buneary who was clinging to his sire, "is too curious for his own good."

Duncan sidestepped behind his owner when she appeared, though his snarling gaze was still fixed on the other Lopunny. Though she had some similar colors, she was nothing like his darling Nessa.

Much to Rosie's relief, Her Lopunny seemed to notice the smaller and younger pokemon and stopped battling, though she still didn't look even remotely amused by it.

Her nose wrinkled when another Lopunny, a male appeared out of no where and scooped the child up, and gave Pop a threatening look.
The Shiny Lopunny furrowed her brow, putting a fist on her hit and returning a hard stare to the father.


Pastin was on the scene first, the larger pokemon's hooves beating against the ground before he was pulling himself to a stop behind Pop, looking down at the Buneary, and signing with relief when he saw that it wasn't hurt.

Rosie wasn't far behind her Rapidash, hurrying over with wide eyes. "Oh no no, is he okay? I'm so sorry, Pop tends to get really caught up in the battle... I'm working on that."
She crouched down, concerned about the Buneary.

If Lopunny could growl, Duncan would have at the shiny. As it was though, he snorted at her and turned away. He gave Finn a hug and put him on the grass so he could look him over, but thankfully didn't spot any injuries. He didn't think he would, but one could never be too careful.

Abigail turned to look down at Finn, and seeing he was fine - and that Duncan wasn't clinging to him anymore, which meant he also knew he was fine - she turned back to the girl with a smile. "No no, he's fine. And really, I should be apologizing," she said, holding her hands up as if that would stop the trainer's apologies. "I should've been paying more attention to where he was going. He's just so full of energy though, always running off to explore."

As Rosie knelt down, Finn peeked at her from behind Duncan's leg. Things weren't scary anymore, so he happily bounced out and stopped in front of her, his ears twitching as he grinned up at her. "Bun!"

The former breeder smiled. "My name is Abigail, by the way. His name is Finn, and this is Duncan and Epona," she added, gesturing toward the Lopunny and Rapidash respectively.
