It's 2984. The world has changed in the last 50 years. War covered the planet, the atmosphere began to heavily deteriorate beyond what anyone could imagine. And lives were lost in this war, thousands of young soldiers over the 500 year war. Until a solution was found. The war ended and a elite team of scientists restored the planet, transforming it into a green, yet mechanical world. The cities were rebuilt around the hybrid trees grown to restore the planet and everything is the perfect mix of technology and nature.

And this is where we begin.

May 2981. Anderson Hader. Log 1225
"I am a scientist. Our company, The Helix Corporation helped the mass restoration of the planet all those years ago. Our projects are restoring cities and families all over the world. I live in Origin, the first city to undergo transformation. I now work in the genetics lab. We have soldiers in Statis here. The war changed everyone. But the boys who went to war more than anyone. And they suffered. Every morning I walk through the rows of tanks, boys suspended in liquid for more than 50 years. Some are just heads with attached organs. But cybernetic development is at it's peak. And even they can have artificial bodies made. They can rejoin our society. It is a very difficult decision to make. It takes years to decide whether we should use the process. The moral dilemmas are extreme. Could they cope with being, for lack of a better word.......
A Cyborg."

January 2984. Anderson Hader. Log 1298.
"There is a boy. He was shipped here in November. He was sent in for cybernetic reconstruction. His name is R A I Z E N. I have read his story, a boy who joined the war at eighteen. Far too young. Survived in the field until his twenty first birthday. Died months before the war ended. His wounds were horrific, but luckily he was more than organs, as some of his comrades had become, still in Statis. Somehow, in my study of him, with him entrusted in my care, I have become... attached to him. Statis is like sleep, but only the soldiers faces ever move. His dreams. Emotions. Whatever he feels in Statis, paired with his personality profile, he seems so pure.
We have been working on his body for several months. None of the others were ready and with some of my own funding, we have almost completed his body."

February 2984. Anderson Hader. Log 1309.
"My daughter _______ Hader is almost 18. She hasn't been the same since the death of her mother five years ago. She seems happy enough, content and she is still doing well. But I know it's a cover. She doesn't have any friends that I know of. She seems so lonely."

February 2984. Anderson Hader. Log 1315.
"I think we're finially ready. R A I Z E N has been completed. He will live with me and _______. He needs to be introduced to this new world by people who care about him. Tomorrow I am taking _______ to come and see him.
Tomorrow, his new life begins."

→Okay, so for once I'm not going to ask you to PM your profile to me AS LONG AS THE CHARACTER AND PICTURE IS ORIGINAL - I hate images that can simply be found on google but I'm pretty chill about characters in general as long as they don't deviate from what I say in the plot.

→ Yeah, the plot is a little complex, so basically "Your character goes to her father's genetic lab, knowing that she is going to meet a person that will join her family. (She's impassive about the whole thing) She accidentally meets R A I Z E N there and that's when we'll begin"

→ You don't have to make your posts too fancy, I only expect the basics.

→ I hope that the rules haven't put you off joining this RP.. *puppy dog eyes*

→Because most importantly, you should have fun!!

My name is { } Raizen
If it isn't already obvious, I am { } 21 (actually 71 from Statis)
My hair is { } Light ash grey blonde
My eyes are { } Amber
I can be { } Level headed, calm and gentlemanly but I was strong enough to go into the war. My calm demeanour and ability to detach my emotions from my job were highly useful in the field but I believe that I managed to stay true to myself. . .
I like { }
- Tea
- Music
- Photography (a rare thing in this age)
- Experiencing new things
- Reading

I dislike { }
- Having to fight against those who are unprepared
- Meaningless killing
- Dishonesty
- Being judged
- Politics

If you must know { } I grew up in a small town called Prince on the northern side of the Edge, the mountains and forests that separated the war-torn land from the last green space on the landmass known as England. It wasn't a large Island but industry and the beginning of hybrid chemical tests on the planet and the deteriorating atmosphere merged it with the Americas and Europe from what I remember of old earth history. It was one of the last green pockets on the whole planet. And everyone had joined in the war. Every man over the age of 20. Every country. My life in Prince wasn't much of a troubled one unless you decided to think about what was happening past the Edge. Although hundreds of years have passed since the beginning of the century, I took my mind there all the time. Records had been saved in a highly assessable database since then, every broadcast, every news article, song, photograph, film, 'tv programme'. Everything since 1801. Over a thousand years of Earth history, accessible at the touch of a button if you had a coMpad. A hologram generator that held all this. But they were expensive. Nobody in Prince, save the guard soldiers had them. But on my 16th birthday, my father stole one from the soldier base at the Edge. It was all I could have wanted.
I made my own year 2000 camera when I turned 18, most people called it junk but it worked like it should. But then I had to join. There were very few boys who were the right age from Prince. I was too young but I looked old enough so I was sent away. I took my camera and my coMpad and was sent to a training academy on the other side of the edge. It lasted six months, and I met some other guys like me in my team. Some of them died in their first month in the field. I know the horrors of war. I don't know how I survived three years out there. I almost wish I hadn't. But I was good at what I did. I didn't let emotions get in the way.

But the last thing I remember was saving a boy like me. He was too young to be here. Younger than I had been. 16 years old. So I jumped in front of a sentinel and all I remember is the white light and the pain.

These are Raizen's last memories. Since his fall in battle, the same youth he had saved, dragged his mangled, bleeding body back to a captain. Their emergency team put him in an emergency Statis tank and was sent to one of the distant hospitals, traveling carefully around the edges of the war-zone. His body still deteriorated but at a very slow speed until they got him to the med hospital a few months later.

(Missions to other planets in the solar system had been and gone. Hybrid chemicals had been created from the unknown elements and substances taken from those planets but venturing beyond wasn't an option. The state of the earth had started to go critical and it was decided that we would have to fix Earth before venturing out to seek other life.)

Raizen's body didn't react well with the chemicals so like some of the other soldiers with severe war-zone injuries, he was put into cybernetics. If the chemicals had worked, he would be put in for minor cybernetics and cell re-growth and would heal with only a few cybernetic body parts, but that wasn't an option.

They kept him in Statis until he was sent to Origin in 2983. A plan had been made for his cybernetics. His whole lower jaw, ears, neck, his left hand and most of his lower legs would be made from cybernetic replacements. His spine, the coatings of several organs and chunks of his flesh all over his body would be made from cybernetic pieces. With extra funding from Anderson Heder, his body was completed by the end of January and was put into testing during February, so that his body would adjust at twice the speed.
Once almost ready for awakening, Raiden was transferred to a separate wing of Origin's Helix Cybernetics Center where he would be calmly reintroduced to the world. His only possessions, his now outdated coMpad and camera were placed on a table in the middle of the room, next to his new clothes.
And he remains there until a few days from now, where his awakening will begin...

And it's just between you and me but { } I have a severe allergy to seafood and don't naturally react well to hybrid med treatment.

My name is { } Elmina Hader
If it isn't already obvious, I am { } 17 - Almost 18
My hair is { }Brown
My eyes are { } Golden/Green
I can be { } Very unattached to reality, mostly keep to myself and don't really speak to people. I'd rather just keep to myself and not really pay attention to other people or anything, I have a hard time opening up to people and making friends. I'm a lonely person, very quiet, and reserved. She does have quite an attitude though, she can be snappy and impatient with very little nerves to go around. She doesn't really like meeting new people and she's always thinking of something sarcastic to say so people will go away.
I like { }
- Sunshine
- Books
- Music
- Nature Walks
- Looking At Pictures of Mother

I dislike { }
- Rain
- Nighttime
- Loud Noises
- Crowds
- Too Much Quiet

If you must know { } I used to be a happy child, with everything I could ever ask for. My mother and father both loved each other and they both loved me, I lived a happy childhood with many friends and always tried to be just like my mother. Then one day, on my thirteenth birthday, my mother died. My life was torn apart right before my eyes and the only thing I could do that would save my heart and mind from going crazy was to pull my soul from reality and day dream all the time. I keep to myself in my room and just read or draw pictures or look at old pictures of me and mother while father works, sometimes it keeps me preoccupied for days, other times.. I cry myself to sleep at night.
And it's just between you and me but { } She has a mental condition that does not come with a cure, it forces her mind to be pulled away from reality and she's stuck in a daydream almost every night, going through night life like a mindless shell. It only happens when the sun goes down.

Elmina sighed softly as she sat in her father's limo, he had arranged for her to come to his office and meet someone that would be joining their family. How odd was that? She was just getting into her book when she received a phone call from him, telling her to come see him at the office. She wondered who it could be, but then again, knowing her father was lonely and it's been almost five years since her mother passed away, it was probably a new girlfriend or something. Her lips set in a pout and her face made a grimacing expression, she knew it would happen sooner or later, but she would rather it be later. Could her father really have moved on? She groaned to herself, then put her cell phone into her pocket and flipped the thick locks of hair over her shoulder as she pulled her book into her lap and finished the last chapter she was on before her father interrupted her.

The car came to a stop not too long after and she looked up from her book and placed the bookmark in it, then shut it. She clicked her seatbelt off and looked at the door to her right, through the window, she saw the building her father worked at. This was something she would dread, she had a feeling about it. Her eyes narrowed as she driver came to her side and opened the door for her, she slid her right leg out of the car and then her left, then stood up completely. She shaped her thick brown hair behind her ears, only to have it fall out from behind her ears, which made her grimace a bit more. She hugged the book to her chest and walked onwards, her heels clicking as she stepped. She was wearing a thin and tight baby doll black shirt that went a bit past her hips, a black slim skirt that barely went down the middle of her thighs, then black stiletto pumps. She looked good for being only seventeen, but that was because she had to look good because of who her father was. He was a master scientist and she wanted to make him proud by being the proper daughter, she's kept the image well because she didn't really like to socialize with people.

She made it to the door and her right hand reached out to grab the handle, then she swung it open with one strong grip. She walked through and had people nodding their heads at her and she just kept walking, her father was on the very top floor of this esteemed building, so she would have to take the elevator. She sighed to herself, then pushed the button to the elevator she stopped in front of. The doors opened and she walked in, pressing the very top button and leaned her back against the wall behind her and waited for the elevator to stop. Her mind raced at what she would saw and how she would act when she saw her father's lover, she wondered what the woman would look like. Knowing father, she'd be very pretty and probably brunette, but maybe his tastes have changed. She really was thinking too much into it, the elevator stopped and the bell rang as the door opened. She pushed her back off the wall and walked out of the elevator and took a right down a hall, it would be a rather long walk. Her heels continued clicking on the linoleum, she still hugged the book to her chest and her eyes looked forward, but her mind was deep in thought about everything. She wanted her father to be happy, but.. Would this make her happy? She didn't know, but she would at least try it. Yet, she didn't know if she was ready. She needed more time to think, she stopped walking and stood in the middle of the quiet hallway. She looked to her left and saw a door, maybe it was empty and no one was inside, she could probably finish her book and clear her thoughts in the process. Ya, that would be good. She walked to the door and opened it, then quickly turned around to peer in the hallway to see if anyone was around. When she found it to be clear, then shut the door and sighed softly, then turned around. Her eyes set on a tank and her eyes widened, the golden/green orbs widened in shock. Was there a man in there? She set her book down on a chair and walked to the tank, then set her hand on it. She peered inside, only to confirm her suspicions, there was a man inside the tank. But.. He had some robotic parts.."What in the.. World..?" She asked herself, then walked to the top of the tank, but still peered inside. She gazed at his appearance and found her cheeks warming up, who was this guy? How did he get in there? What's wrong with him? Why did he have robotic parts? So many questions ran through her mind and she wanted to know the answers..

'What......what is...this? It's so light and blue and....it..i-it hurts. P-please! Please somebody.... It hurts...I-'

'What...is this w-where..?...are those people. What...I feel strange.........what has happened to me..I can't....I can't...'

It wasn't a common thing, but he sometimes became semi conscious. It had been reported on his 'death' when moving to the hospital tanks all those years ago and seen firsthand after his cybernetics. He was strong. One of the strongest that wasn't already on the hypersystem (as that was used to preserve those who were up for discussion or to be taken into cryogenics until their reconstruction plans were done). He occasionally drifted back to the world but not before he was put under again. The Scientists and doctors didn't want to have to do it but they did, he wasn't ready. But today was his awakening. Raizen was a favourite amongst staff in general. They often grew attached to the healing soldiers and many went to visit them in person, if one of the scientists or doctors amongst them hadn't taken them in. But everyone found some reason to like him (the shallowest being comments from some of the female researchers, "He's handsome you know, if only they didn't make the soldiers cover up, if you know what I mean", which earned them several hours of extra work for speaking in such ways) They were happy to know that he'd be okay after he left. His personality profile had assured them that they had nothing to worry about.
In the pale, blue toned room of the West Wing, a figure inside a Statis tank rolled onto their side. Dreaming. Unknowing of what the day would bring.

As footsteps approached, amber eyes flickered open sleepily.
'How long was I asleep....I...' He noticed the girl in front of him and he blinked. 'What in the world is she doing h-......' he reached up and touched his missing left eye with a hand. A hand with robotic fingers. Raizen froze up and looked down at himself. And suddenly he panicked, thrashing inside the tank before suddenly going limp.

______________________________________________________________________________________

Anderson Heder stood in the doorway, a small blue remote in hand. He looked somewhat pained.
"This is not the way I had planned for you to be introduced. But it looks like it's too late for that.", He crossed the room and stood on one side of the Statis tank. "As you may know, my company works in the field of scientific discovery. But I don't think you were aware of exactly what we did. Here we specialise in...Cybernetics. Work relating to 'Cyborgs', to put it simply. After the war, all those years ago, many of the injured were kept alive in Statis tanks like this. Not enough people responded to the chemical treatment available today to heal and re-grow limbs like they do in normal hospitals. So cybernetics was the only other option.
After deciding if the patient would be up for cybernetics, they would be sent here to Origin or to Echo, on the other side of the planet.
This boy, Raizen had suffered significant damage in the war as you can see. He has been here for several months and I took a liking to him. Forming attachments to the soldiers is highly common. And his cybernetic replacements and attachments were finished quickly with the aid of funding. I have decided to take him in. I would have found you and talked you through the process but you found him first. But there won't be so much of an issue, aside from the fact that he shocked his system. It looks like he'll need longer to adjust than expected..."

Mr Heder was never that good with emotional words or such things but it was clear that he was trying his best to reach out about this. It was almost surprising how much he seemed to care, close to the same amount he cared about Elmina. He walked over to the table and stood by it, waiting for his daughter's reaction.

ElminaHader

Elmina looked horrified as she watched the boy thrash about in his tank, her golden green eyes widened more with shock. He looked like he was in so much pain, she took a step back in reaction to his thrashing, only to watch him go limp and the door behind her open. She whipped around and set her eyes upon her father holding a remote, she realized that her father was probably the one who caused the boy to go limp. Yet, she remained silent as her father explain to her why the boy was in the tank and why he was part robotic. So the boy was in the war and he was put in this tank, along with robotic parts that were applied to the missing pieces he had lost in the war. As her father spoke, her head turned back to the boy in the tank and she watched him float about in the water. Her eyes softened, she wondered if he didn't like it in there. She set her right hand on the glass, her warm hand quickly fogging up the cool glass. She had a feeling he didn't like it in there. So, this is what her father wanted to show her? Not a new woman in his life? But a robotic boy? There was somewhat of a relief in her expression, but there was still some concern over this boy. She turned back to her father and removed her hand, it left a foggy hand print on the glass. "What would you expect, waking up to notice that your body parts are replaced with robotic parts and you're floating in a tank?" She began, her voice sounding very accusing to her father. She made it sound like he was doing something inhumane and very cruel. "He was in the war for Christ sakes, father! He doesn't know where he is or why he's here! The only way he'll adjust is if he gets out of that blasted tank and actually lives!" She yelled at him, mostly because she kind of knew what it was like to be trapped somewhere and not know a way out.

She felt remorse for this boy, sympathy even, which was shocking because she never took an interest in people and never really spoke out for people. Yet, she felt for this boy. He was trapped in a tank, shocked to find out about what was going on or where he was or why he was in a tank to begin with. The only way he would actually adjust to something is if he were allowed to breathe somehow. "No matter how you look at it, he is a human being. As a human being yourself, you cannot trap someone in a tank and expect them to comply when they don't know what's going on and the only thing they remember is the war. Let him out! Now!" She had finally crossed her breaking point, it was obvious that she was serious. In the midst of her anger, she had dropped her book on the ground. She stared at her father with the eyes she shared with her mother, bright golden green eyes that seemed unearthly. She narrowed her eyes, then walked towards her father and got close to his face. She hardly ever lost her temper, but she was a force to be reckoned with.."You've done enough to him, now let him go" She sneered angrily, then pushed herself through her father and stomped down the hallway, she took a left and her heels were heard clicking in the distance, getting further and further away. She went into a conference room at the end of the hallways near the elevators and slammed the door shut, then sat down on the windowsill near the window and opened it.

All of this was a little bit too much to process in her very intellectual mind. She swore she would quit but.. She reached in her purse and pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, she lit one up and shoved everything back into her purse. She looked out the window at the busy streets and the cars rolling by. How simple life was now, she could only imagine what it was like during the war. She read books about it, but even though the descriptive writing was good, she couldn't even picture the horrors that had happened. Now that she saw a live warrior of the war.. She was just highly upset that her father would treat someone that had fought to keep people alive in such an inhumane way. She moved a bit and moved her feet and legs to hang out the window, she was all the way on the top floor. She took a few drags of her cigarette, then blew it out into the night sky. The boy's amber eye still flashed into her mind, how cold and scared it had looked, she couldn't help but picture it in her mind over and over again.

 R A I Z E N

Mr Heder blanched. He blinked several times after the door closed after his daughter and he let out a long sigh. Perhaps they should have let him out immediately after his simulations were complete. It was easy to think of the treatment as cruel or barbaric but brains scans of these young soldiers showed that very few of them wanted to die. Those who did were given a peaceful, painless death and were sent home to their families and given funding for a burial worthy of their status as heroes.

Everyone else was analyzed carefully and prepared for reparative hybrid surgery after stems cells were gathered and grown for the process. A fair amount of soldiers went through the process and were able to 're-grow' new limbs or get replacement ones from their own DNA. Elmina knew about this process. It was a common enough hospital procedure these days and people went through treatments for it in regular hospitals. However since the chemicals needed were hybrid chemicals, derived from Saturn and Jupiter, they did not react well with the wounds that the weapons used in the war caused.

Cybernetics was the only other option. It had been discussed amongst the new government in secret and they, like the scientists had to take the choice of either putting many of the young soldiers in status as personalized cybernetic plans were made...the other choice was not a choice. And so most of the young males involved in the war, over a quarter of the Earth's population at that time were taken in.
In the last 50 years, most of those youths have been treated and have lived or are still living their lives. Echo treated more people than Origin, although Origin specialized in delicate cybernetic work which they often sent to Echo instead of treating separate soldiers. There were very few soldiers left to be treated and cybernetics had advanced at a dramatic speed.

It wasn't a secret, it was just that the males with Cybernetic adjustments rarley stayed in Origin. Most moved to Echo or went back home. So very few people under the age of 20 knew about it. But it wasn't featured in highschool history classes. On in "Cyber History" an unpopular school subject that very few remained interested in or studied. And although 'cyborgs' did live in Origin, they lived in the 'treetop' areas of the city, as close to nature as they could be. Most found it peaceful and made them more accepting of their metal forms.

Anderson Heder sighed and pressed another button on his remote. In minutes, his own team that had worked on Raizen appeared and carefully connected several tubes to the tank. Then they began to take out the pale turquoise-blue liquid that the boy was suspended in. They opened the door and one of the team carefully caught the blonde before he fell.
The remaining liquid was absorbed into his skin and a bed was rolled in. Placing the boy down upon it, they gave him a few checks before giving the thumbs up. After his sudden awakening, they had to make sure he was okay. Mr Heder was once again alone in the room. And all he had to do now, was wait.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

A shuddering breath rose from the figure on the breath before Raizen, sat up in shock, his eyes wild. He almost looked feral but that passed as quickly as it appeared and he sat there, frozen.
Mr Heder stepped forward and crouched at the boy's level, speaking slowly and clearly.
"Hello. My name is Anderson Heder. You have been asleep for some time. What can you remember? And please take as long as you need."

Raizen looked down at himself and his eyes widened. He raised his hand to eye level and examined it, his expression a mix between fascination and horror.
"W-what did.....what did you..do to m-me. What....year i-is this...?" He stared at Heder with the same expression, his large amber eye shining in the half-light of the room. He raised the same hand to his throat and then his jaw, looking slightly scared.

"You were damaged from the war. You didn't react well to the chemicals that could have healed you so cybernetics was the only option. I'm sorry.
As for the year, it is 2984. February.
Yes. 50 years have passed since the war."
The man truly looked sorrowful. He inclined his head to a long mirror facing the opposite side of the room and the blonde nodded slowly.
Placing the mirror against the bed, the man stood up and looked away.
Raizen just stared, turning his head from side to side, his mouth hanging open, before running his hand all over his lower face and neck and over all other parts on his face and chest.
'It feels like my fingers. Are they in there or is it just mechanical. Why didn't they replace my eye..? My face. They couldn't fix it...? My neck is gone...did they save my throat..? I still sound like myself.' He swung his legs over the side of the bed and looked himself over. His jaw, ears, eye, left hand and right leg had been replaced (or were missing in the case of his left eye) the rest was covered in plates and separate small areas such as half of his right foot and a few fingers from his right hand had been replaced or adapted.

Heder walked over to the table and to the youth's surprise, he was handed...his old coMpad and his camera! Raizen looked up in surprise.
"These were yours. They still work, even if the coMpad is now outdated at this current stage.

And before I forget, you saw my daughter Elmina, didn't you. She has gone to...cool down."
He reached for his own coMpad and sent a message to Elmina and handed Raizen his black body suit and a pair of boots. These weren't uncommon clothes for those working under the scientists. "You've missed a lot. " And Heder began to tell him everything.
Father to Elmina: 'He's awake'

ElminaHader

Elmina was enjoying her quiet and had finally calmed down to the point where she could think clearly, she tossed her cigarette out the window and just looked up at the sky, it was almost deep into the night and she hated nighttime. Her golden green eyes closed for a moment or two, only to be reopened to the sound of her coMpad beeping in her purse. She looked behind her on the floor below the windowsill where her purse was, she wondered who it could be, but more than likely, it was probably her father. She pulled her legs and feet through the window and stood up, then shut the window closed. She bent over and picked her purse up, then set it on the table to her right and went through it a bit until she saw her coMpad and she grabbed it, then looked at it. She was right, it was her father. She sighed softly as she read the message, it seemed her father took her advice and let the boy out. She wondered how the boy reacted to his appearance and everything else, she did hope that he was okay. The message her father sent her had a calm air about it, so she figured that the boy was calm. She set her coMpad back into her purse and clung it over her right shoulder, then made her way to the door out of the conference room.

She opened the door and walked out, then shut it behind her softly and walked to the left, slowly making her way back to the room she had left from. She was getting her thoughts together and her mind prepared for the meeting she was going to have with the blonde boy that was in the tank, she hoped that she wouldn't say something wrong and make him go into some kind of shock. The remembrance of his amber eye looking at her with confusion and fear crossed through her mind again and she lowered her gaze to the floor, silence was all around, but her heels were heard clicking along the floor and getting closer to the room her father and the boy were in. She thought of the boy as a knowledge source, he knew about the war personally, but somehow, she knew that maybe bringing up the boys' past would hurt him. The war was an ugly time from what she read, but she desperately wanted to know. She was a smart girl, so knowledge was something she held very highly in her life.

She neared the room and then stopped in front of it, her mind racing with thoughts as it usually did, she wondered what she should say to the boy. It's been fifty years since the end of the war, so the question of adapting to the times now would be pretty tough for the blonde male. He would be living in the house she lived in, she wondered how he would eat, did he eat normal food? She bit down on her bottom lip as she thought about all the possibilities and questions she had, only to realize she'd been standing outside the door for a long time. She gently knocked on the door and smoothed out her slim black shirt and skirt, she knew she looked okay, but that was besides the point. She quickly dug in her bag and found the perfume she would need, she still smelled like cigarettes. Her perfume was unscented and didn't float around in the air, but made any smell unwanted evaporate, that's how she's been hiding the fact that she smoked from her father. She sprayed it all around her and her natural scent of blossoming flowers returned. Her mother had always told her that she was born made of flowers, but she didn't know how true that was.

In fact, right now, she had flowers in her hair, which was kind of funny. It was like the stems and leaves were attached to her hair and were living solely off her. It was a theory that even she didn't understand, but her mother used to tell her that the flowers loved her and she should take care of all flowers. Since a lot of flowers these days were fake in a way, not how they used to be before the war. Books told her of flowers grown from nature, while the flowers now were grown from scientifically enhanced trees and whatnot. The flowers in her hair were naturally grown from her, if that made any sense at all. She placed the perfume in her purse and fixed the strap on her shoulder, she forgot that she had dropped her book about the war in the room, she hoped no one would look at it. She didn't want to resurface any bad memories in the boys' mind, she just waited patiently for her father to open the door and let her in, so she could quickly grab her purse and be done with introductions. She was a bit unnerved, which caused the flowers in her hair to close up into little blossoming buds. She hoped she could have the boy help her with her knowledge, his experience in the war would give her the ultimate knowledge.

Mr Heder, letting his new ward let the information he had been told sink in turned his thoughts to his daughter.
Elmina's appearance was an oddity that he was sure came from the chemical for the planet's re-growth. Everyone on earth had breathed it in and although no side-effects resulted from it, their children had odd genetic traits. Unnatural hair colours were occurring naturally and people were becoming more sensitive to things like hearing, sight, smell and other senses but Elmina's flowers were something rare. He was certain that it was something very specific, relating to the chemical's effects. It wasn't harmful, none of these odd side effects were, they were only a curiosity so the international government wasn't overly bothered. Only a small scientist team worked on it now and they were based in Echo.
Hearing the knock, Mr Heder opened the door.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Raizen paused, hearing the knock. He had been lost in his own thoughts. The world really had progressed in 50 years. The pictures of the world today. It was beautiful but somehow sad. But there were people like him in this city, not that most people knew or cared. A whole separate area of the city was up there, so that those who wanted healing an isolation could live that way. Mr Heder said that he would bring him there soon, although he would still be living with them.. It wasn't a bad prospect to be sure, it was better than being released into the unknown on his own, but living with his daughter could be...awkward.
He had been shown the scans of his body and they had been applied to his now updated coMpad. He could use all his bodily systems like normal, thank goodness, but it wouldn't feel the same exactly, not with all the piping and adjustments. Some things would never be the same but they had managed to integrate his own flesh and the metal in his face so that the enjoyment of eating would be there, even if it wouldn't be the most pleasing thing to look at. And the appearance would take some getting used to.
He stood up as the door opened, the black body suit had various patterns on, ones he assumed that looked like the inside of the human body. It was certain comfortable, although he felt a bit exposed.
The...skin-tight effect would also take some getting used to until he could get clothes from the treetop levels of the city where 'people like him' lived. But it was somewhat embarrassing as the outfit clung to all his... defined features.
Shaking off his thoughts, he let his eyes rest upon the girl who had entered the room. She was pretty. He walked over and extended a slightly apprehensive hand.
"Hi. My name is Raiden. Our first meeting was somewhat unexpected.."

ElminaHader

Elmina was encountered by her father, who had opened the door. Her golden green eyes just looked at him with a blank look, it was close to the middle of the night and her mind was getting a bit fuzzy. She knew the affects of her mind were about to go into a blank slate, but that wasn't going to happen for another few hours. She still had time to put on a decent show of welcome and whatnot, she hoped that the fuzziness of her mind would freak the robotic man out. Then again, it was funny thinking that something as simple as her mind messing up would put the cyborg in a very uncomfortable position. Yet, she was always the one who thought outside of the box, unlike most people in this day and age. Her mother had told her that the affects of her flowers put her mind into a time before the war and that's why she blanked out and would just run through time as if it were nothing, her mind and spirit were stuck in the past and her body was in this time. It all began when she was old enough to think for herself, but even before then. She would always blank out as soon as the time would hit ten o'clock. Her mother told her that she was special, and special indeed she was. She became interested in time during and before the war ever since she could read and compared to most children in this day and age, she learned and picked up knowledge faster and more accurately. She understood more than kids her age should and grew up faster, whether it be affects of the chemical world around her or not, she was considered a genius. That's why she graduated school early, at the mere age of fifteen. With scholars and honors and everything, making a bigger name for her father for having such a genius child.

She was then approached by the boy with the amber eye, she saw his presence like he were a mirage or something from a dream. His eye rang through her mind before she even saw it in person once again, it was almost hypnotic. She stared into his eye for a long period of time as he walked up to her, it wasn't her staring at him in curiosity because he was different, no, it was merely because she was in awe. Wonder, fascination. All those words that meant his very presence intrigued her to no end, which was strange because she's seen countless cyborgs in her time, but this was probably the first time she's every been fascinated by one. Probably because he had a link to the past and he sparked up her mind in various ways, her flowers seemed to bloom more on her head, showing roses of various colors and shapes. Some were red with blue in them, which wasn't normal. Her flowers never bloomed so much around another person, she didn't know why, only knew that she wanted to talk his ear off and gain any knowledge she could about him and the past. He had the knowledge she wanted, she could help him adjust to these times, but she wanted to know more. Was it strange that she spent more time thinking to herself, while he was talking to her?

While he was speaking, his voice seemed to have opened up some kind of rift in her mind and everything around them ceased to exist. His voice echoed around her and she knew that the time her mind was about to go blank, it all started like this, but never before had she been around people at this time. She closed her eyes momentarily and his voice stopped, she then opened her eyes and stared into his eye once again, then extended her hand and her small hand fit comfortably into his. She shook his hand and smiled warmly, but at the touch, it seemed that smaller flowers seemed to grow in her hair on contact. She hoped no one saw that, that was embarrassing. "It's a pleasure to meet you once again, Mr. Raiden. My name is Elmina Hader, I hope you will feel at home in this day and age and well.. At our house you will be staying at" It was a wonder that a woman of her age didn't check out the body of a man that stood and towered before her. He was tall, had definite features, and well, an all-man body. Yes, he was gorgeous, but the logical mind she had forbid her from all that. She knew their first meeting was strange, but she was glad that he was unconscious when she had gone off on her father in Raiden's defense. She never really went off on people, which was why she wondered about his guy. "I hope.. We can make a better meeting." She said softly, her voice taking a softer octave. She looked down to see where their hands were connected and she slowly released her hand from his grasp, feeling a bit embarrassed that she hadn't noticed she was holding his hand for a long time, longer than a normal handshake should have been. She looked back up into his eye and smiled genuinely. Then looked to her father, her golden green eyes looking a bit hazy. "Father, what time is it?" It had to be close to ten, if it was, she needed to get home.. And fast, or at least put in a room by herself.

Mr Heder glanced at his open coMpad.
"9:20. And we should probably be going, I know that you like to be home by 10." He had always passed it off as one of his daughter's weird quirks. She had various odd little habits and he wasn't one for discouraging them. Having briefed Raizen about the world today and how to otherwise examine today's history through his coMpad, there was no reason to still hang about.
Inclining his head to the door, he simply said "We should be going anyway" and picked up his briefcase, waiting for Raizen and Elmina.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Inside Raiden had laughed when she had released her hand. He didn't mind. It was a strange feeling to have a metal hand feel just like his hand used to feel, and most of it was covered in metal, so it was a wonder how it felt this way, although it could be 'phantom sensations'. Mr Heder had said that if he had pain anyone it was typically a phantom sensation, cybernetic tech was almost perfect these days, so that even the other soldier that were really only a head and organs could have a useable body. Or so he had been told and shown via his coMpad.
He picked up his coMpad and stuffed it into a soft bag that Mr Heder had given him before picking up the camera and pulling the strap over his neck. The gentle weight of it felt good after all this time. Mr Heder had given him a highly curious look when he had reached for it. Almost nobody cared about such small details in the history of Earth's technology. And because cameras of this kind were used as a hobby, they had been almost lost in time. When he had first made it, nobody knew what it was. But were still amazed when it took photographs like a coMpad could at that time. But unlike the holographic documents that coMpad pictures became (or so he was told), the photographs could be transferred to a paper format, having altered the way pictures were processed on a camera, using large processing devices were not an option at the time but of course, it had been 50 years since then and he could probably find some new way to show his pictures.
As Elmina's father left, he caught her eye before following him. After all, it wasn't like he knew his way around.

ElminaHader

Elmina knew in her mind that it wasn't exactly that his metal hand felt weird in her's, it was the fact that she hadn't been around a male before, better yet touching one for long periods of time. She had always kept to herself in school, even in the university she was going to. She'd never had a boyfriend, which was weird for someone her age. People were dating and most of them were younger than her, but never before had she seen a girl her age or younger walking side by side with a cyborg. Why was that exactly? Like, they were human, or at least used to be, but they were still human. It wasn't like it was that much of a difference, things still worked.. Right? She would think so, technology has most defiantly gotten a whole lot better since they fist started and most of the people who worked in this field were men, so she was sure they wouldn't allow something.. Her cheeks were touched a soft pink as she thought about that, that was kind of unnecessary to think about, but her mind wandered a lot, so it was only natural. She never really thought about things like this before, since she was never really interested in those kinds of things. Yet, when she got thinking about one thing, it seemed to branch off into a multitude of other things. She looked to her father when he mentioned the time, good, so she still had some time to get comfortable in her room and eat before spacing off. She really did want to talk to Raizen some more, but, she knew tonight was not the time to be doing such. Normally, it was quite early in the night, most people didn't go to bed until at least midnight or near the early morning hours. Modern day coffee was like an instant wake up drink, not like the old days when you had to drink three to six cups just to catch a slight hype.

She nodded her head when her father mentioned going home, he picked up his briefcase and waited for her and Raizen. She knew her father didn't pay much attention to her mental habits, but honestly, every genius has their downfall. She had gone to the doctor multiple times, but no one has ever found anything wrong with her brain. That was because there was nothing wrong with her brain, it was the influence of the flowers. At least, that's what she thought. She figured the flowers manipulated her brain and sent her into a deep thinking state that would render her mind unable to process information, therefor, her mind would travel back into times where flowers did bloom. Perhaps that was it, she wasn't sure, but maybe learning more about the old times would help her out a bit. Her golden green eyes turned back to face Raizen for a small moment, her eyes met with his one eye. Maybe, he would be able to help her out with her knowledge and maybe the solution to her problem that no one else seemed to understand. Maybe he would. She watched him grab a bag and sling a camera around his neck and her eyes focused on it for a while, then her lush lips curved into a soft smile. "That is a camera, right? Able to take paper photos?" She asked softly, she knew the routine with those cameras. She had read about them in books, they seemed like ancient history books to other people, but really, it was the foundation to the modern day coMpad. It was able to print paper photos with the help of the film and special bulbs and special liquids to help spread the photo on printing photo paper. No doubt he would be in shock that someone of this time would know such things, but her father probably wouldn't. She knew a lot of things, but again, every genius had their downfall. Whether it be physically or mentally or something else, her's was mental.. Or Physical. However you looked at it.

Elmina smiled again and nodded her head when Raizen followed after her father, she stayed for a few more moments and looked to the ground and walked over to where she had dropped her book a while ago. She walked over to it and bend down, then wiped off any dirt that had collected on it, then looked at the cover. '500 Year War' Her golden green eyes hovered over the title and then her mind flashed the memory of bright amber eyes, she knew that it was some kind of sign. Call her superstitious, but it was how her mind worked. She extended her right arm and placed the book in her bag, no doubt her father and Raizen were already at the car, she had taken a long time to collect her thoughts. She turned on her heel and her heels clicked as she made her way towards the door, then closed it behind her. She trotted easily down the hall and to the elevator once again, her finger reached over and pressed on the button. She waited for a few moments, then got inside and was brought down to the main level, then she got off and walked to the front doors. People were getting ready to leave and they all nodded their heads to her as she passed them, as usual, she ignored their presence. It wasn't like she was being rude, but her mind was focused on other things and she didn't waste any time getting sidetracked. She opened the front doors and walked to the limo that waited for her outside, the driver opened the door for her and she got inside. She slipped easily in and sat across from her father and Raizen, her eyes looking at them for a short while, then down cast to her knees. She placed her purse on her lap and got silent, she needed to get home and eat, then.. Attempt to be hospitable to the boy until she would have to retreat to her room for the night. She knew her father didn't really come out of his room much at home, he was always working on new things and whatnot. If she wanted to, she could take over her father's operation, but she hated the thought of working on things he liked to work on. It made her stomach turn.

;wearing now: Link
;OutOfCare:That's okay, I don't mind. I hope you feel better, take all the time you need.
