(Welcome back to the third annual Spring Jubilee! Its been a trainer tradition for the last three years! and we're keeping it going.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the ORP, though it is slated toward trainer RP :3

Also, stick around, or come join us later for when the RP goes to NIGHT - For gatherings of beach bonfires and night time games)

This year was slated to be the largest Spring celebration that the City of Camphoreon had ever held!
With the growing population of pokemon trainers from other regions, a presence that had been heavily encouraged by the League'a growing interest in the island of Kodo, Camphoreon had set up for the attendance of a large group of natives, tourists, travelers, and trainers the island had ever seen!

This year's Spring Jubilee was moved from its previous years location, to a much larger park that was located by the far end of the island, where the grassy slopes and trees would gradually lead out into the large span of sandy beaches.

Spring was in full bloom, the city was covered in blossoming flowers, thought he park was thoroughly decorated with vibrant colors of all kinds of flowers while their delicate fragrances wafted through the trees, and vender booths set up setting various art, crafts, and food.

The celebration was extended to the beach, where selected entertainment and food would be found. From playing bands, to arias set up for casual pokemon battles.
The water would still be a bit too cold for a lot of the people to want to attempt, but that never stopped the more ambitious and determined water people!
Let alone the thick skinned who just wouldn't mind.

Pokemon were just as abundant as the humans were this year, as all types, accompanying their trainers to the warming event.

With the sun gleaming brightly, and the wind blowing pleasantly past the crashing waves, It was a perfect day to celebrate new beginnings, and a beautiful spring.

Welcome to the festival of spring!

For those who had not tuckered themselves out, the party continues, a celebration of color and light!
Parties moved to the beach, the sand now littered with the petals of flowers that had flown from the booths, fallen of the people and pokemon who attended, or were purposely scattered around to brighten the sands with the flowers colors.

All along the beach however, as the sun finally sank down into the horizon, and left the strip of sand dark, a spring of colorful bonfires lit up the beach, stretching the sands length.
Earlier that day, packets of mineral sticks had been sold in burlap sacks, some won in contests.
It is then explained, that when the rods are later added to the flames would turn colors, from Blue, green, purple, yellow, and red.
leaving the beach in a glow of spring colors.

Groups of trainers, families and friends settled by the fires, enjoying song, food and sparklers with their pokemon.
Enjoy the spring night! Gather at a bonfire with new and old friends! Everything is open.

It had been a bright an early day for a particular blond haired trainer,There would be no sleeping in today! Not on today, a day she was looking forward to a whoooole lot.
Not only was this a very special event for her and her friends. But Luke, with Yuri would be coming back for it as well.
It had only been about a week since they had left, but it was going to be so great to see their friend again.

When she arrived at the festal, it took her a moment to stand in awe at how much the event had grown.
Having had met up with Sera before they had arrived, they had headed over together. Rosie happily sticking with her best friend.

Rosie had to admit, the best part so far was all the trainers. It wasn't long before she had spotted some trainers that she knew from the boards, and had met along her travels.
She stood with a group of them, one hand on her hip, with her posture relaxed and wide. supporting the weight of a Raichu splayed along both her shoulders, watching with the other trainer's scattered pokemon.

She was in a much more casual, but comfortable outfit today. A deep pink and blue plaid shirt, rolled up to her elbows and half tucked into a pare of blue jean shorts, she dug the tip of her dark pink lace-less converse into the sand a smile on her face as one of the trainers talked animatedly to the group.

The tall, gray haired women that had grown to know the younger trainers pretty well throughout the last few weeks had not been surprised at all to see Rosie and Seraphine there.
Of course, she made it a point to usually bug Sera, the girl just made it too easy for her,

with her arms crossed over her chest, half lidded mossy eyes watched the trainers in front of her with amusement at the conversation, standing with Rosie and Sera.
Wearing a much different outfit then she usually did for her job, or training as well. Though she still had a pare of boots on, she wore jeans, with a long tank top, that didn't help bit make her already long torso look long. it fitted loosely over her shoulders, half drowsing her wiry form and doing nothing to flatter a non-existing figure.

True to his word, Yuri had led Luke back to Camphoreon from Sandalwood and their trip to make it for the spring festival. He had promised Rosie after all, and while it as a bit inconvenient to start a trip only to turn right back around a few days later, he couldn't break a promise.

Grey boots walked the path to the park and eventually up a grassy slope. A set of white paws following behind. They came to pause at the top of a small hill that overlooked the park and the ocean. Next to where a line of cherry trees stood in full bloom. The wind off the ocean blew and tossed Yuri's long black hair, the man standing there with a hand on his hip and a content smile on his face. Just as a rush of pink petals flew past from the trees, a few catching in his dark hair.

He would be lying if he said he didn't like this time of year. Even he had to admit that it was beautiful, and the area was more festive than he had expected. Repede woofed at Yuri's side, alerting the man and directing his attention to where a familiar blonde girl was standing. Yuri then tilted his gaze towards his red headed companion, giving him a knowing look. There was a girl over there waiting for him.

Not far from Rosie and Ray stood Seraphine, predictably wearing a dress in her favored style and colors, and at her side stood Isabella. Jacques was nearby, pouting after his efforts to swipe food from inattentive food vendors had been thwarted by his trainer. While Rosie hung out and spoke with this group of trainers, Sera knew none of them, and rather than attempt to get to know them, she merely stood off to one side, curiously inspecting the various vendor tables.

This would be the third time Luke attended Camphoreon's annual celebration of spring. Objectively thinking, he hadn't expected to see it this year, predicting that he would be busy traversing Kodo or plainly wouldn't feel like going. It was to his surprise and appreciation that Yuri accommodated the former and that he somehow accommodated the latter.

The scenery was different this year with the festival held nearer to the beach than usual; it appeared to be more elaborate as well, and perhaps that was why the organizers had decided to relocate it. It was nice, though - it was always nice, given Kodo's typical springtime appearance, but there was something pleasant about the proximity to the ocean.

Repede's call brought Luke's attention in a similar direction as Yuri's, giving him more than enough information to interpret the look he felt from the older swordsman's direction. After a moment of consideration, he spoke a brief "I'm gonna go ahead" and moved to join Seraphine - either because he didn't want to suddenly intrude on whatever conversation she was sharing with the unfamiliar trainers or because he was feeling a bit defiant. The result was the same, however; he greeted the brunette girl with a nod and a quiet "hey."

From where Dove stood near the low wall of the park that overlooked the ocean, things seemed to be swelling in festivities, pokemon running freely and playing with the trainers close by, people laughing, the waves rolling heavily onto the shore. She smiled as the breeze caught her hair and made the hem of her tank top ripple, hoping it would keep her calm as she did her best to form a plan for the day, though her late, late night activities had already been predetermined. Already, she had spotted Rosie, Sera, and Ray, though she had yet to make any move toward the group. While Rosie and Ray didn't intimidate her half as much as the others did, Sera was definitely a force to be reckoned with. However, her spirits were high today, and though she took the moments to herself for now just to watch the celebrations, she fully intended to enjoy the day herself, even with her limitations.

-------

Meanwhile, a tall man ruffled his hair, back to front, then back again, as he made his way through the throngs of people, almost frustrated that he hadn't known such an event was taking place. Though at first he had imagined he could just pass through, he did find himself curious about the number of pokemon running freely through the park and across the sands as he walked through, doing his absolute best not to run into anyone. The sleeves of his shirt hung low around the middle of his arms, the season too hot already for his familiar leather jacket and jeans.
With a little consideration, he drew a ball from his belt, releasing a tiny pichu that immediately leapt for him and clung to his shoulder, curiously blinking at the people and chatter around it before it leapt away, zipping toward the closest pokemon it could find-- a growlithe, Zane noted-- and stopping at it's trainer's feet... a man he had met once before. With a frustrated sigh, he made his way over to him, shaking his head as he scooped the pichu up and offered it a glare, only to be given a happy peep in return. "What's up? Lowell, right?"

Sera would've been completely oblivious to Luke's arrival had Giselle not made herself visible and floated over to greet the young noble with a bright smile and a happy, "Misss!" Such a greeting drew the brunette's attention and she turned a curious glance to see just who her ghost would greet, but once she saw Luke she offered him a smile of her own and a raised hand. "Hey," she responded once he had stopped nearby, "Rosie said you guys would be here for the festival." Or at least Luke? Her gaze went past him and very briefly scanned the crowds and surrounding area for Yuri before she spotted him not too far off, with.. what was his name again? Oh yeah, Zane. She focused on Luke again instead. "Did you guys even get very far? You've only been gone barely a week."

He offered the Mismagius a smile that paled in comparison to her own before turning to acknowledge and answer Seraphine's question, "Not too far. Only to Sandalwood. We might leave in another direction or something when we go again, I guess."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:05 pm
With her greeting returned, the Mismagius faded from view again to continue her silent vigil. Sera on the other hand, nodded at Luke's admission. "Yeah, that isn't too far," she agreed, "but it's still somewhere. Someone," she paused in her speech as her gaze shifted briefly to Ray before it returned to Luke, "wants me to go to Sagestone for the summer for training." She still wasn't entirely sure about such a proposition, though.

Luke tilted his head just slightly, unsure of what to make of Seraphine's tone. "Training with," he paused for a passing moment to recall the name he had heard at the dock, "Ray, right? Are you thinking you'll do it?" His memory of the two's interaction was… a bit strained, but at the same time, Seraphine hadn't voiced any immediate disapproval of the explained proposition.

Ray was rather enjoying listening to the trainers talk, not surprising the topic was on pokemon, and training. Though she had several things to pipe in, the ex-trainer held her tongue, unlike the large Serperior who was flicking his out occasionally, no doubt trying to get accustomed to the smells that overwhelmed this event.

One of the older looking trainers of the group continued on his story, about one of his gym battles. He had a solid style Ray though, and it certainly sounded like he was good at what he did. The kids could learn something from him. Though he also seemed like a clown, making his story extremely engaging to the fellow trainers.
Though halfway through his story she could feel that prickle as if someone was looking at her, so she reacted by shaking the hair out of her face and turning her head, eyes instantly catching sight of Seraphine, and Luke. who seemed to have just showed up.

Ray grinned wide, watching the two for a few seconds, before she stepped back away from the trainers, and walked casually up to Sera and Luke, trying not to be noticed right off the bat.

"Hm?" Oh, right - Ray was her name. She was still having a hard time remembering that she had a name, let alone what it actually was. "Yeah, her." Her lips pursed as she folded her arms over her chest and she shifted her weight to her other hip and in sullen, grudging tones that said she really really wanted to say no, but instead replied, "I dunno yet." She didn't notice Ray just yet.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:26 pm
"It could be fun," he replied noncommittally, offering a shrug as Ray's approach went similarly unnoticed. He didn't know Ray very well (read: at all), so he was hesitant to indicate either a positive or negative opinion too strongly.

Ray smiled amused as the kids didn't seem to notice her, pausing a little away from them, half lidded eyes watching them for a second before she leaned forward. "What are we talking about over here?" She asked, and a casual tone.
