ok so far from what ive heard their live stuff is good, BUT, this is a very big but, they ******** butcher their older stuff. i cant stand the mother fookin singing of the screaming. its horrible. it makes baby jesus cry for gods sake. i mean seriously, ive known them for like well, when i heard warmness on the soul, which was when they first came out with a major album. i mean i keep listening to the stuff online of recordings of them live singing their old stuff and it makes me lose respect for them. i mean seriously, it sucks. theres no denying it, it really ******** sucks. like it sucks more than a 200 dollar hooker. if this offends you its prolly cause your a new fan of their new stuff and not their old. i mean people who grew addicted to their older stuff have to agree with me here. i mean they are still good but yeah i think you got the point.

I slightly agree with you, I mean, yeah it's hard to hear things on the computer and it probably sucks worse because of screaming fans/bad quality recordings.
But still, you gotta at least give them points for trying. And they can still play instruments awesomely cool. Even if Shadows does butcher it. You also have to take into account that other band members do back-up singing in the band too.

i do take it into account, it just royally puts a bad impression on me. like going to singing is fine but fdragging the older stuff into it, well thats just not cool. like i can listen to the instruments cause thats all i like about the band now. i think shadows should have just stuck woth screaming, its starting to sound all emoey now and thats not good cause i fookin hate emo.

Yeah I kinda see what you're saying. I believe the instruments are the best part of Avenged Sevenfold, and if they ever separated it would mess me up entirely....but that won't ever happen so I don't have to worry.

yeah i agree. i seen em live, and it just isnt the same... but a plus is that if any back-up screaming is needed like in eternal rest "take these chains away that are holding me down (Holding me Down)" the backup screams come from The Rev. ive seen it live and on the pc. it sounds really good. its almost hard to tell that its him because it sounds so much like shadows. and you know that he screams because on "The Art of Subconscious Illusion" The Rev does very noticable scream thats pretty deep. thats something that gives me chills every time i hear it. but i really miss the old shadows. i know many people agree with me.

but what about in songs like darkness surrounding where the entire thing is like screaming. the rev can't just take over for singing for shadows. although ninja no but i agree. i just think somebody needs to slap shadows to get some sense into him is all~

I agree with you totally. Although I've only heard Unholy Confessions Live, it sucks without the screaming. It makes me wonder if he really DID get surgery on his vocal cords, and he physically can't scream anymore. I dunno. But it sucks without screaming...

you obviously dont appreciate anything else you only like it cause it sounds good i have the same case to, but i mean i dont like a7x just cause they sound good i like them because of how they put the guitars together and how it goes with the drums and the lyrics and s**t im an old a7x fan myself, but just because you dont like it doesnt mean 130 million people in america wont i enjoy there old stuff without screaming but it WAS better with it
