you had a dream
where you were falling
but like a dream within a dream
someone reached out
they held you fast
you thought
in your naivety
they would certainly pull you up
but after a moment
they knew
you knew
you were too much to hold
so they let go
for themselves
and you fell
even the mossy ground
couldn't save you
and as your head slammed down
you knew once more
there is no such thing
as having faith
as dreaming
among all the falsehoods
there is only one truth
