I was going to make this thread last night but I wanted to clear it with a Gaia Mod first, to make sure it wouldn't be against the ToS. As long as you keep the trading to items within Animal Crossing it's fair game. So you can trade your fruits and furniture for other fruits and furniture, but not for items on gaia or gaia gold.
Now that that's out of the way we can discuss trading etiquette. You should be clear what is being traded for what, and the person who's town the items are being traded in should drop their items first. The people involved in the trade should stick to their word and trade the items they said they would by dropping them on the floor and picking up what the other person dropped.
If that was too long for you here's the gist of it: Only trade stuff in Animal Crossing, no AC stuff for Gaia stuff The person whose town the trade is occurring in should drop their item first Stick to your word and trade what was agreed upon Don't be a jerk while in someone elses town.

I'm willing to trade some of my fruit for peaches and persimmons.
I have mangos, bananas, apples, pears, durians, cherries, lychees, oranges, coconuts, and lemons.
I'm also on the lookout for the Triforce, the Master Sword, and the complete Hero's outfit. All of those come from within fortune cookies and as I'm unsure of their worth you'd have to approach me with an offer to sell them to me.
Um, interesting, I'm sorry I don't have those items (I did but I trade them away but I always get a fortune cookie every day) if I get those items ill tell you rightaway ^^

Excuse me for dropping in, but I am dying to get some persimmons! Please correct me if I misread your post, but if you really do have persimmons up for trade, I would love to have some! I can give you gold fruit (any kind expect persimmons), and its possible I might have some items that you want.

Alright so I'm still looking for the Hero's Boots and will pay 297k for a pair of them.
I'm also looking for the regal flooring and walls and am somewhat flexible on the price for them.
I'm also looking to offload 2 peach's parasols, 2 pikmin, a triforce, a fire bar, and a pipe. Those are all fortune cookie items and it's up to you to offer on them.
