I had an idea about the pairing; maybe the pregnant guy was a party animal always out with different guys or girls and never interested in a real relationship. His roommate and him have been friends for a while, they decided to share an apartment because it'll be easier to pay the rent. Maybe the roommate had a thing for him but never said anything because the party animal doesn't want a relationship. So when he gets pregnant he didn't know who the father was and couldn't tell anyone but his roommate because he thought he would understand?
