xxxxxxxxxxxxNeithan is capable of summoning intense flames at will around any point of his body, done so in a range between emotional display and attempts at intimidation. The seemingly constant ball that hovers between his horns is the number one example of the former end of the spectrum. The calmer he is, the more the ball hangs in a steady, flickering flame. Should his temper rise however... so too will the flames. Random sparks around his exposed skin are also pretty common.

xxxxxxxAwakening with no real concept of who he is, what he's trying to do in life, and all around zero concept of the world around him, has left Neithan with one massive desire: take in everything and everything he can around him, and learn about it all quickly as possible. With all the information being tossed around him like waves, Neithan has one advantage to his name at least. The boil's effectively a rock, weighted down and unmoving against the tides. Each blow comes--physical and non--and he but braces himself and stands his ground. He will move when he is good and ready to move, when he believes he has done all he is capable of, and learned all he can from a situation or individual. Not that such behavior comes without a cost--Neithan is not immune to standing his ground against forces that can topple him right on over with a flick of the wrist. He is so assured in his right to know, in his ability to stand against the forces that be, that the idea of being toppled on over goes clear over his head. Until he's on the ground and at a complete loss for how he got there. Neithan will, at the very least, see such losses as more chances to learn, and assures himself any do-overs will result in him standing strong and tall as he always should.

xxxxxxxSturdy as the stone, Neithan is. He's also about as expressive as one. One to show much emotion, he is not. Oh he'll frown, scowl a bit, quirk a brow--even make a few confused and disgruntled expressions. Seeing lighter expressions from him isn't nearly as common, though if one watches his facial ticks carefully they might see a few twitches in the corner of his mouth. For all his lack of displaying cheery emotions, he at least comes with one upside: Neithan is a difficult stone to crack under pressure. Stressful situations are met with a somewhat surprising calm, though even he is not without his tendencies to bark a little sharper during such moments. Be it social interactions or physical altercations, he maintains a high level of levelheadedness and decorum. Even when others around him don't.
xxxxxxxNone of this is to say Neithan is without his emotions. Quite the contrary. The boil is a proverbial volcano. And no volcano is without its smoking top to warn others what rages beneath. Rarely is Neithan seen without a summoned ball of fire hanging between his horns. This fireball is, for all intents and purposes, an effective mood "bubble" for Neithan. Or rather, those dealing with him. When he is genuinely calm, the fire is a happy, soothing source of warmth and light. Start to rattle his stone facade, and the fire begins to lick, spark, sputter, and hiss. Needless to say, when his temper really ignites, as does the fire over his head. Never mind fires around the rest of him.

xxxxxxxSet him on an assignment--large or small, ancient artifact or homework due in five weeks--and just step on back. With the assurance he can withstand anything the forces that be throw at him--somehow, someway--comes a great boost to his stamina and will to accomplish. Tiny victories are some of the most important to him, just little assurances he's on the right path, so to speak. Further fuel to his fire, Neithan is the type to set himself up for the long haul. In everything. Social relationships hold to this rule. If Neithan puts any time in to dealing with another, on any level--acquaintance, teammate, friend....--then likely the recipient of that time can expect the boulder of a boil to stick around. For whatever. Through whatever. He takes snark and snaps with stony stride, just as he does laughter and light-hearted jokes. From others. Not him. Obstacles are made to be overcome, and Neithan has more than enough of the will and drive to push past whatever comes his way in any aspect of his life. Lost his memories? Time to make some new ones then. Push on through, and overcome.
xxThe Almighty Volcanoxxxxx{ - }
xxxxxxxFor what reason should he not be so self-assured? He has brawn, he has mass, he has wings, he has fire. Even with a loss of his memories, Neithan views himself as strong, and in his mind, two main rules exit: Might makes right, and possession is nine-tenths of the law. He's got the former, and the latter comes as it may. There are few situations where Neithan does not start off standing strong, proud, and knowing that he will withstand and overcome whatever is before him. It is unfortunate, however, that Neithan is not the mightiest of the forces in this world, and even by his own perception of the laws he is not always right. The boil is still young, and in that sense still hopelessly reckless. He is liable to stand against far more than he can withstand. Crash and burn. Reliant as he is on his own strength and abilities, Neithan would scarcely think to look for assistance in his troubles. By the time he realizes he's been outdone, his temper would hardly allow him the chance to ask. For assignments and social problems, if he has the chance to back away for a while and cool off, he might be then able to approach others for help. In the moment however? Not going to happen. Not by Neithan's breath.

xxxxxxxStone is as stone does, and without that fire ball over his head, Neithan's emotions would be hidden behind that coal and gold complexion. Sitting there, bottled up inside, just waiting for the pressure to build until he could contain it no longer. Neithan might be more prone to displaying his less than pleased emotions, but those that surface are only a glimpse of what can really be bubbling in the depths. Decorum and honor--abiding by those two main laws of his--are some of the few things he really tries to live by, without much other sense of what he should be doing, or why. His sense of those two factors, unfortunately, leave little room for a flustered, raging, openly vocal or violent Neithan. As such, he bottles everything up, refusing to show his inner thoughts and workings. Debates against himself for how he should be acting, versus how he would react instinctively and openly, are common. And often the source of various sparks flitting around him, never mind the extra flaring of that fireball between his horns.
xxxxxxxWhen the cap over the volcano blows, oh is it an eruption. Neithan's temper and flames flare with little restraint once he's really pushed past his limits, and the stony facade cracks under the pressures around him. While he certainly doesn't aim his flames--physical anyways--at creatures.... inanimate objects best beware. Oh he'll figure out a way to fix anything he's damaged later--least to the best of his ability--but in the moment of rage, all caution is to the wind and he's an inferno.

xxxxxxxPerhaps, along with the vast majority of his identity, Neithan has forgotten how to socialize. It is highly probable! Or perhaps it just has something more to do with the fact this guy typically views distance as the only type of intimacy he'll accept. The concept of a brotherly pat on the shoulder is one thing--sometimes. As is a hug between old companions--assuming they've earned enough of his respect and gone through enough of the "long haul" with him. But on the largest scale? Neithan is not a fan of "friendly" physical contact. It crosses boundaries he dislikes being crossed. It is not a sense of his personal bubble versus yours, either. But rather, a preference to remain at respectful distances unless a situation requires. For short periods of time. Very short. He likes the controlled distances. And that is to say nothing about how he views social conversations. Spill too many beans around him, and while Neithan will share none of yours to anyone else, he will show some distaste for the situation. Assuming he hasn't already begun trying to detach himself from you and the situation entirely. Don't ever expect Neithan to return the favor and confide in you. Confiding means breaking his stony facade. The only way that's happening is in a fit of rage. Oh you might hear him rant and rage at you at some point... but likely this will not be in the most socially acceptable ways. Treat this balrog with caution when it comes to personal matters.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Though Neithan does not recall where he was, or where he was going, to awaken so close to the academy, he has no doubt the school could provided the answers he seeks. At the very least, teach him the necessary information to understand this strange corner of the world and its... citizens.
FEAR Ability:

xxxxxWith his FEAR invoked, Neithan focuses the shape and density of the flames hovering above one of his hand. The fireball is reshaped into a long, multi-tailed whip with various thorns seen here and there off the tails. The whip itself is entirely made of fire.
Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Glowing gold, no discernible difference between pupil and sclera
Hair Colour/Style: Pale cream, wavy and cut short just above his chin. Softer than he's willing to admit.
Skin Colour: Coal grey-black, with various gold markings lining his flesh here and there.
Clothing Style/Colours: Heavy gold plated armor adorned with Celtic crosses. He does wear simpler clothing underneath--or when he feels like "letting loose"--in blacks and dark browns. He's never without his belt and gold lock, however.
Extra: Large wings that may or may not be reminiscent of cooling lava. He's also got three sets of black horns on his head, and some nasty black claws on his hands and feet.
