The day after Kodo's coordinated assault against Team Rocket, the Pokemon League would announce a press conference to discuss the outcome of their mission - it wasn't entirely practical to summon all of the island's volunteers to one place, and the general public also had a right to the information, so a region-wide broadcast seemed the most logical solution.

The conference itself, held by former Champion of Unova Alder, Kanto Special Ops Officer Petra, and three other League officials, took place on the lawn of Camphoreon's city hall. Their words rang out throughout the city, throughout the entire region of Kodo, from any television tuned to the local news station:

Team Rocket is an organization that has terrorized various regions for years, having origins in Kanto and marking Kodo as its most recent and most severely impacted target. During the events of the recent PokéCon, a Pokemon League-sponsored convention for trainers, Team Rocket infiltrated the question and answer panel and threw the convention into disarray. Though the injuries, both physical and emotional, dealt to innocent trainers were regrettable, the interference granted Kodo's police force the opportunity to make five arrests, and many of the Rockets involved were brought into custody.

Recently, one of these arrested Rockets revealed to us the location of Team Rocket's headquarters building, and a survey team was sent to confirm the information. In the northern desert, we were able to verify the existence of a black, six-storied building. At the time of discovery, Team Rocket was already carrying out evacuation procedures, and a number of strike teams comprised of League representatives, Kodo police officers, and volunteer trainers and civilians were dispatched to curtail the Rocket effort.

Each team that encountered an enemy group met opposition, and though some of our allies sustained massive damage, we are fortunate to be able to report that there were no casualties. Collectively, our efforts made a total of sixteen new arrests in addition to the five we still hold from PokéCon. Additionally, investigations of the Rocket headquarters building have revealed that it has been demolished - this accounts for the sound of explosions and the ensuing earthquake you might have witnessed yesterday. We are currently examining the wreckage to determine the structural integrity of the remaining architecture; when we have ascertained its safety, we will begin scouring the area for any intelligence that might have been left behind.

Only time will tell if the blow we've struck will be enough to remove Team Rocket from the region, but we are remaining optimistic. At the very least, we can be sure they will not recover quickly.

The names of all those who had participated in the events of the Rocket assault, save for those who had denied permission to do so when it was requested, were read out to honor them and their efforts as well as their bravery in volunteering despite knowing the dangers.

Later that same day, most volunteers would find a visit from a League official presenting them with a medal of honor as well as a heart-felt thank you for their aid and contributions the previous day. Those they couldn't find would find a medal in their mailbox and a card with the same message after a few days. Those hospitalized, however, would receive a similar visit with a medal, but also a large bouquet of assorted flowers. Each medal, while very similar in their message, would be entirely unique and specially made for the occasion, with the League's Pokeball symbol surrounded by a message, complete with the specific volunteer's name.

((Let Suudonym know if the name on your character's badge is somehow incorrect. Vince's will be updated with his last name when it becomes available.))

((These medals are just fun little trinkets to display in your character's journal. You needn't do anything with them ICly if you don't want to; for example, if you don't find it plausible that the League would be able to find your character's full name or address, you need not acknowledge that they ever received it.))
