Being stationed in a long abandoned bunker did not give much in the way of supplies, namely food. Though they had had to do with out many of the essentials for a time, at least until the supply running teams could keep up with the demand.
Jerome was already on the task of transporting supplies, thus this wasn't anything too out of the ordinary for him. Along with another agent and a small handful of inconspicuous Grunts, Jerome lead a team of Rocket into the city of Sandlewood, not far from Ambergris where they were bunking. It was easy, lay low, pick up supplies from the outpost, and get back. without being noticed or stand out too much.
There was also a much bigger benefit to being able to run these jobs... Jerome got to go outside.
With the hood of his jacket pulled up over his head, the sleeves rolled up to his elbow, where the starting of his arm tattoos were showing through. It was starting to get dark by the time they had arrived, and that suited Jerome just fine, they were not going to start transport until the dark had set, meaning it gave him a little meandering time. He didn't need the orders as a reason to stay out of the populated arias though.
"Gengar... gar." A large deep purple Gengar floated ahead of the man, with half a body covered in glowing markings. A half lidded almost disproving look in his toothy frown, and a finger pointing to one of the buildings set high up in one of the trees.
Black inked eyes lifted from under the hood, a puff of smoke joining it as a cigarette, clenched between the gangster's teeth was removed and pinched between his fingers. "Yea- ain't goin' that route t'night Bro, Naw." The man's deep voice rumbled in a mellow tone.

Sandalwood would not have been his first choice of places to send out ears. One, it was full of less than inspired researchers … genius? Lex would say no. Two, it was much too crowded for a base. Undercover information agents, yes… set up a headquarters among busy body researchers? Pffh. It had decent places to sleep with actual beds and a lack of unsavory folk.
He, they were tired. Glit was half wilted, no matter how alert the snivy tried to appear. A place to sleep and they would move on to the infamous desert and the destroyed HQ. Lex shook his head, hair straighten from its natural curl and dyed gem bright tones, a mix of gunmetal blue, toxic green, and neon purple framing his face. Attention was just as much a disguise as anything low key. The only key detail they would remember would be his hair, and that was an easy enough change.
Lex sighed and rummaged through his pocket, drawling out a clove cigarette and zippo. “Five minutes and we’ll find a place to hole up for the night,” he said soothingly, leaning back against one of the large trees. A smoke to steel his nerves.

Grinding the ashes into the ground with a boot, the tattooed man then turned his gaze upward, to where the Gengar was floating, his arms crossed. Nodding his head for the Gengar to follow. "C'mon, S'got f'a run before we gatta get back."
Opening his arms wide, the Gengar seemed to stretch its whole body, before letting out an obnoxious cackle and taking off through the streets. In a more leisure job the man in the hoodie jogged to catch up. Jerome had been to this city a few times before, not counting the ones he was running training for his new job, now that he was Agent rank. He had always been interested in the layout of the city, lots of things to climb and lots of ways to climb them, though with very little margin for error. He'll master this place someday.
In front of him, the large ghost type suddenly stopped, causing the man behind him to nearly jog right into him if he hadn't side stepped quickly to dodge out of the way.
Following the glowing green gaze as the Gengar smirked at something down one of the streets, Jerome paused at the sight of another person, this wasn't exactly the kind of place a lot of people hung out, and seeing as it was pretty close to the Rocket hang out it gave him pause. Was this a fellow Rocket out for a smoke? Or was this someone who shouldn't be here. "Yo." Jerome gruffed, nodding his head sharply toward the dude. "Man ya got a light I could use?"

Gengar… Lex shifted, head cocked and idly played with the cig in his mouth as he took in the large ghost pokemon before exhale smoke from his nose. “Well, ******** me,” he drawled out, cig removed, eyes narrowed at the ghost pokemon, feeling the leaves on Glit’s back rustle and press against him as she got her back up, bristling. He took a moment, closely scrutinizing the man’s face in the gloom before giving a sharp grin.
“Guess you can,” he answered finally, holding out the steel zippo towards Jerome. “Take it the Gengar is yours? “ Lex tapped ash down, lips curling as he followed the twisting glowing design on the ghost type. “Nice ink.”

Clacking his teeth a couple of times, the Gengar flashed one of his toothy grins at the other man. when asked if he was Jerome's the Gengar let out another cackle, reaching a hand up to thump it on his own chest a couple of times, throwing some gang signs out before leaning an arm over the dark man's shoulder.
"Hn" Jerome grunted in acknowledgment, He didn't really want another cigarette, but this got him close enough to the guy without out right trying to call him out or chase him down. Accepting the lighter from the other man, Jerome leaned over it with one hand lifting up as a shield from the wind and a way to keep his dreads from falling completely out of his hood, flashing the flame to life, the fire momentarily kicking light up into the dark hooded face. With a few puffs, lit the new cigarette.
"-could say that." Jerome replied, straightening back up and handing the lighter back to the man, taking a few moments to study the man. Wasn't a kid, that was for sure, even though he was still slightly shorter than Jerome himself. The hair color would have been something Jerome would have remembered if he had seen him, then again, who knows when this guy dyed his hair, could have been completely ordinary the last time he saw him if he was even at the outpost.
"Takin' a break from somethin'?" Jerome asked in a laid back tone, glancing over at the grass type that was with the man, nodding lightly to the pokemon.

I’ll… take that as a yes, Lex thought, amused and flashed the Gengar his tongue stud. He clicked the stud against his teeth, a response to the Gengar’s teeth clicking and turned back to Jerome. He studied the hooded figure and if that wasn’t ringing off bells. The gang signs the Gengar had thrown up wasn’t helping his nerves and Glit was bristled and nearly on his steel toe boots.
What in the world… “Did you get the whites of your eyes tattooed?” He asked, shocked and took the lighter back, setting it in the deep pockets of the bomber jacket. That was some intimidation tactic. Crazy mother..
“Could say that,” Lex replied, voice mild.
Glit shifted, head tipped and brown eyes narrowed as she took in the rough looking man and then kept her focus on the possible threat of the Gengar, giving a sharp “Vvvyy,” in warning. She straightened up, curving her tail over her head.
