There's lots of wood. That's why the old men want you to start cutting and bringing planks back. Really nice quality wood. Some might say hardwood. Some might say hardwood with a slight giggle at the end.

The point being, this is some quality peni- I mean wood.

Also there's a unicorn. No, I'm serious, I saw it last week. A legit unicorn is in this place. One of the old men wants it for his daughter. You'd best wrangle it and bring it back alive.

Daisuke had been quietly making his way through the forrest. He was being careful to leave no trail behind him so that no one, unless they too were a sensory ninja, would be able to find him. He had been walking for several hours, the source of this odd energy signature was steadily getting closer. It appeared to be staying rather still in some form of clearing. Daisuke continued to near the clearing, slowly, whatever it was, he didn't want to spook it. Walking slowly towards the edge he looked, and had to rub his eyes a few times to believe what he was seeing, a real unicorn. Looking at it he couldn't help but be mesmerized. Slowly he stood up and and began to walk into the clearing. The unicorn quickly saw him and began to remain still. Focusing on Daisuke. Daisuke didn't want to spook, so he made sure his movements were very deliberate, and also very slow and calm. The unicorn would likely have encountered little in the way of man, so it shouldn't be too frightened by his presence, however, trying to jump it could certainly scare it off.

After several moments Daisuke had gotten fairly close to the unicorn, he was now within about 20 feet of it, and just slowly sat down. He knew that the unicorn was part of his objective, however, patience seemed to be the key here. He sat down, and closed his eyes, using his sense to see the unicorn he remained still and calm. If he continued to simply await, it should begin to realize that Daisuke was really of no threat to it. Daisuke remained still where he was, awaiting the unicorn to make its move.

As Jun made his way through the forest, he saw all manner of trees which contained some rare and quality hardwood, tilting his head as his hands brushed over the bark. This would be useful in repairing their ships that had been wrecked from the storm, and their voyage battle. However, he alone wouldn't be able to carry back very much at a time.. If he was going to collect a decent amount, he would have to contract some sort of wooden sled and drag it back to the beach. He could do that.. Looking ahead, he noticed another shinobi in the distance, looking as if he was meditating behind a white horse of some kind. It was only when he saw the shining ivory horn that his eyes widened and he realized the value of that treasure. Keeping low to the ground, he eyes the other Genin cautiously. He didn't know if he was affiliated with the Sand or the Mist.. In other words, whether he was competing for that prize or helping him to capture it. Either way, the more practical thing to do would be to gather the required wood to repair their ship.. Perhaps he should leave the other boy to the superfluous gain. After all, the one who works subtly in the background often has the most success. Nodding to himself, he drew his katana.. calmly channeling his Wind chakra through the blade and starting to chop the branches from the nearest tree. They would make the base of the sled, and the stripped bark from the trunk would provide a rope material for holding it together and giving him a handle to drag the load back by. Once he had a nice pile of branches, he got to work constructing the wooden sled that would likely prove useful for a number of resource-gathering expeditions.

Daisuke remained calm, the unicorn had been remaining still for a bit, but it had slowly begun to grow accustomed with Daisuke. He stayed calm, he could sense the arrival of another shinobi far off in the distance. He decided his best bet would be to ignore him for now. He had been working for some odd 30 minutes in the clearing, trying to get the unicorn to trust him. Reacting now might make all of that useless. Daisuke remained still and continued to relax. The Unicorn slowly made its way to Daisuke and began to smell him. Smiling calmly he opened his eyes and looked. The creature was only a few feet away. Holding his hand out, very slowly and deliberately, he watched as it withdrew for a second, and then calmly smelt his hand. Gently he outstretched a few fingers and touched the animals face. It froze, and its muscles tensed slightly as Daisuke attempted to show it that he meant no harm. He looked at it some more and smiled warmly, it was truly a majestic animal. Something to behold. He remained calm and continued to gently pet the creature.

(( OOC: Just letting you know, my character is like an hour, maybe two, deep into the forest. I am really not sure that you would just see him, especially given that he went in a specific direction based on where the unicorn was. He also covered his tracks... Sooo you might want to edit that a bit.)

Jun continued to work, crafting a crude wooden sled and starting to pile it with logs from the trees he chopped down with his Fuuton-infused katana. He really wish that he had a cleaver of some sort, or a heavier blade, as it would have made the task a bit easier. Nevertheless, he kept at it until he had a good sized wood pile on the sled, taking hold of the makeshift rope and gripping it tight as he started to haul it back toward the shore, leaving the other man alone for now. As far as he knew, a Unicorn did not qualify as essential survival material. [Exit to Shore]

Daisuke had been coaxing the creature up to him for several minutes now. He had probably been there for a few hours. The animal trusted him wholeheartedly, there would be no reason for it to fear people, so gaining its trust was much easier than most animals on the main land. Daisuke calmly moved to its side, and gently, but swiftly jumped onto its back. Daisuke very slowly, and gently began to lead the animal towards the shore. It would indeed be a slow trip back, trying to make the animal do more than a light trot might spook it. Every so often he applied a gently kick to one side of the other a he lightly tugged the animals hair in different directions to lead it towards his desired destination. Daisuke continued this for sometime, until after about an hour he could see the shoreline and made his way towards it with the majestic creature.
