Kisa

Trees flashed by as a bike trailing blue flames shot over the ground, in literally hot pursuit of the robot bounding through the air. Frankly, Kisa had no idea what that machine was made of... but it was insanely quick on its feet, and hadn't taken very long at all to head right out of town. Of course, even that sort of speed wasn't really enough to entirely outrun her bike, and the group didn't need to destroy the robot... only follow it to track down the crazy girl's friend. Which was part of the reason why Kisa had given Al a ride.

Titus

Moving along just behind Kisa and Al was one of the Lin Kuei's immortals. In this particular case, his servant of wind had more than sufficed to carry him (and Kimiko) along at a respectable speed.




Kisa

All four of the pursuers came to a stop, however, as Elsa and Doctor West passed through a strange shimmer in the air. A sharp jolt ran through Kisa's mind as her eyes focused on the colors, and she hissed out a curt breath as she realized what the problem was. There was no time to think, though, because her instincts were already screaming. One quick nudge knocked her passenger off; a moment later, the bike shot forward, taking her with it and right towards the colors. The bike drew closer and closer to the portal, then suddenly sank into the ground as Kisa dismissed it, sending the Demi-Fiend hurtling through the air to land at the very edge of the portal. She reached out with both hands as the strange shimmer seemed to ripple in front of her, stopping where her hands had touched it. "Something... like this... won't be enough!" the Demi-Fiend growled. "If you're going in, do it now! I won't be able to hold this for long!"

Sinbad was completely ready for what was ahead of him, and silently moved forward, ready for anything that would be on the other side of the portal.

Kisa

When everyone had passed through, the Demi-Fiend stepped forward and let the portal snap shut behind her. She hadn't entirely recognized what she was seeing at first - after all, it wasn't the dimensional portal she was used to working with, but there were enough similarities that she'd been able to keep it open with brute force over the course of just a few moments. Long enough, at the very least, for everyone else to make their way inside.

The change once they got on the inside, though, was immediate.



Al Azif

Wildly shifting colors crossed Al's vision at every distance, globes bouncing everywhere yet somehow not tangible in the slightest. Dozens, hundreds, tens of millions... it was impossible to guess just how many of the spheres of color there were, because they seemed to go out to infinity. That wasn't the only problem, though - worse was the sensation that they were falling helplessly, because none of the spheres of color could actually be interacted with. There was nowhere to touch, nowhere to rest, nowhere to jump off of.



Tap. Tap. Tap.

A figure walked out of the colors, simply appearing as if she'd always been there and nobody had been looking in the right direction. Delicate feet lightly stepped on the colors; wherever she walked, there was always a sphere there to support her. "You are not welcome here. Begone." the figure said, raising one hand.



Energy swirled beneath it, rapidly gathering into an enormous sphere that shot tendrils out through the area, stabbing the spheres of color and drawing them into itself as it grew bigger and bigger. The girl vanished, but the collection of colors continued to draw more and more into itself, until it was the size of a small skyscraper. Finally, the sphere itself exploded, revealing what had been contained within.



It didn't take more than a moment for the insanely huge construct to begin firing. Unfortunately, though, normal bullets weren't the weapons loaded into its ammunition areas. Instead, as its bullets shot out, they passed through the intangible colored spheres and solidified them somehow. The spheres shot toward each of the intruders. There was no time to dodge, no way to resist, and no way to stop them from completely covering each of the intruders. Its task completed, the machine exploded back into nothingness as each of the intruders was launched outward, towards the endless depths of eternity.

It was impossible to tell how much time had passed before there was a change in the shifting colors and the endless drifting through a world that didn't exist. Still... observing caused effects, as did being observed.



It's time. They've stopped paying attention.
Right-o!

Two figures moved through the endless expanses of color, tapping a shoulder here, a back there. As each did, the intruder vanished from the realm, sent onward and towards their destination.




Kimiko

Kimiko landed lightly on her feet and glanced around. She'd been getting rather bored, flying through space like that, but at least something had finally changed. She was in a huge expanse, under a night sky where only red stars twinkled. The assassin tilted her head slightly, then flicked out a knife and threw it behind her without turning to look.



Titus

Thud.

A knife sank into Titus' clothing, pushing him backward and into a tree moments before he would have hit the ground. Titus looked down and laughed. Awkwardly. "Uh, thanks. Where are we...?" he looked up at the unfriendly skies and frowned slightly.

GROUP ONE



Kisa

Just on the other side of the fabric of reality, a number of weapons waited for the call of their master. That wasn't the part the Demi-Fiend was paying attention to, though... instead, she held out one arm. Moments later, the roar of an engine filled the air, and a motorcycle burst out of a circle of hellfire before shooting forward and coming to a stop just beneath her arm. Kisa lightly stroked the front of the bike, and the engine revved slightly, almost as if it was purring under her touch. Transportation, at least, wouldn't be a problem in this strange land. Though... four passengers on it at once would probably reduce the performance somewhat. Still, that wasn't the only thing that mattered.

...

Okay, it was the only thing that mattered, but it was best to at least pretend otherwise. "Are you... okay?" she asked, looking over.



Al Azif

"Sent through a mysterious portal... to a completely unknown land... with unknown forces arrayed against us... to save a friend held captive by an evil enemy... and you ask if I'm okay?" the girl's body was literally shaking now. "HECK YES I AM!" She threw down a smoke bomb that detonated as it hit the ground, shooting up a massive, violet cloud behind the girl as she struck a triumphant pose. "Forward, brave warriors of goodness!" she said, pointing to the side. "My heart of justice tells me that we will find the truth thataway!"





GROUP TWO



Kimiko

Looking somewhat bored again, Kimiko quietly retrieved her knife and slid it back into its sheath, letting Titus drop to the ground. "...Earth." she said.



Titus

"What? We're not on- oh." he paused, then nodded slightly. A moment later, he slammed his palm into the earth and muttered rapidly. "Ruler of the North, vibrant life of Autumn, heed my command and rise from the land. The power of the elders, twilight, under the reign of Saturn. Thou art the mighty Gnome, and rise before me!" The ground trembled, and a giant made of rock and stone surged upwards, several stories tall. It held out one massive hand a moment later, and Titus hopped in, then held out a hand and pulled Kimiko up. The girl, somewhat unusually, accepted the aid. "Anyone who wants to stay behind is welcome to. If not, hop on. We're going to go find the base of these gits."
