"The Hidden Shrine - Entrance to the Dark Realm"In each domain that is watched over by the agents of the Yatagarasu, there is a Forgotten Shrine at which a representative controls the entrance to the Dark Realm and remains in contact with the head of the group. Occasionally citizens may stumble upon the shrine, but the agents of the Yatagarasu will only reveal themselves to those who work within their group.
Near the entrance is a wishing well, inside of which lies 99 floors that only Summoners may enter. A Summoner may only enter a floor equivalent to their strength, and no deeper, for this training hall was designed with their safety in mind. To outsiders, it is merely a well, and falling inside will merely earn you the nickname 'Timmy'. Off to the left of the Shrine proper, buried beneath many vines and plants, is a wall with ancient runes on it. This is the specific training hall of Geirin Kuzunoha candidates, and is filled with powerful demons, willing to take the lives of the weak. This Shrine can only be entered by those who have a drop of Geirin Kuzunoha's blood, and even once inside, many passages are sealed with similarly specific methods. One could never reach the final test, in the back of the Shrine, without being Geirin Kuzunoha himself...
Entrance into the Dark Realm will be granted to members of the Yatagarasu and any who they wish to take with them. To enter, the Summoner must ring the bell to summon the Representative of the Yatagarasu, who's spell can bridge the two worlds. This extra measure ensures that "stumbling" into the Dark World is simply not possible.
[For all intents and purposes, this shrine also serves as a place to post within the Dark Realm should a summoner feel the need to go there.] Hidden Shrine

Jo(shu) Michieru Jo(shu) had just about to settle into classroom, before a certain delinquent came in, and drug him out. While he was grateful to be away from Miss Sofue after what happened earlier, he couldn't help but feel like he'd never catch up on schoolwork. Though, he couldn't voice that part out loud....honestly. After all, even if he was treated like a rag doll at times, and by all means used as a punching bag by Kai...He kind of enjoyed it. Raidou was confident, despite her appearances...Kyouji was sweet, yet deadly, and Kai....He was tough. Shu could appreciate that, even if it meant that he had been beaten into shape by him. Once.....Or twice...Or.....Honestly, he'd lost track a long time ago. He had to thank all of them for where he'd gotten now. (Kyouji most of all, of course), though he had to wonder what Kai had came to pick him up specifically for. If it was enough to get him on the case, then it must have been important. "Thanks for getting me out of there." he added, finally making it to the Shrine. "Though, what's going on, if I may ask?" Even if Geirin wasn't the nicest of Kuzunoha, he he had to be respected. Even without Kyouji's teachings, it was pretty easy for him to fall in line with someone like him commanding them.

Asuka Bokuro
"Shu-San, Master Kai." Asuka piped up, standing from the steps of the shrine and bowing, having not long arrived, herself. She didn't yet know why Kai had requested the three of them to be here, but she wasn't about to question a request from one of the Kuzunoha.

"Greetings... Great Summoner... Shu-sempai... Asuka-san..."Yatsuda had exhaustedly said as he was only slightly behind Asuka on the steps to the shrine. When he was notified, he had ran to make sure he had made I on time. He also had to stop off at the Amagi inn to drop off the groceries he had bought before the Great Summoner had called for him. He was also glad to be summoned so early on, but curious as to what may happen.

Geirin Kuzunoha
"There you are." Kai didn't waste words when Asuka appeared, and when Yatsuda appeared soon after he simply cast another glare after the next. "You're late." Considering he'd called them together unexpectedly, they had a little wiggle room to argue about his use of the word late, but on the other hand he wouldn't have bothered with them if it wasn't something important just as well. He was standing before the main building of the shrine, the Summoning Bell to his right as he faced back towards the group and the wishing well to his left. He glanced over the troupe again, and audibly sighed as he folded his arms, in what could only be described as 'A bad mood' move.
"Let my begin by saying that I know that you met with Kyoji this morning. That's good, because any training you've already received could save your life, now. Today." The tone of his voice already matched his serious outlook, but maybe an explanation would actually help it hit home. He wasn't going to waste much more time talking though, because things were already underway, and yet these guys had taken so long to gather together. "Today, you get to test your metal against an enemy of every Summoner out there. I faced down the creature this morning, while you pansies were off playing patty cake with Kyoji. I managed to seal it nearby, but that was it for me. Come on." Kai motioned for them to follow, and turned to walk passed the bell, following the old stone pathway into the jungle until the main shrine was barely visible behind them. There they encountered an impassable wall, overgrown with vine and shrubbery, and Kai waved for them to gather behind him. "This is it." Kai gripped at a mess of old moss, ripping it away to reveal an enormous circle, with multiple smaller ones engraved.
"Now then, who's got questions?" Kai shot forward, the barrel of a gun sticking up under Jo(shu)'s nose. "It doesn't matter what objections you have! Let me finish." The other two had seen him start to open his mouth, yes? Good, because this Kai wasn't going away anytime soon, so it was better to get use to it. "The creature I sealed away is one of the Shadows that seem unique to this city. It's become a real concern for Summoners in this area to face these creatures, but we're relatively new to this type of threat. From what we can tell, they take advantage of a person's strengths; the more powerful the original person, the more dangerous the Shadow. And I was the first one to encounter this thing...is the picture becoming clearer for you guys, yet?" Kai smirked as he looked over the group one last time, looking just a little too smug as he explained that what they were about to face in there was, for all intents and purposes, based upon his strength and thus a step above the standard enemy.
"I'll accompany you guys inside, but you're going to be doing the heavy lifting. This Shrine is the training grounds for Geirin Kuzunoha and his pupils, so there will be several barriers sealing off parts of the Training Hall. Even so, there could be any number of dangers; it's meant to temper your powers as a Summoner, so Demons are allowed free movement inside, unless I've put a barrier in place to separate the strong from the weak. For the record, the most powerful Demons will still be sealed away, so the chances you run into one of my surprises are nil. Still, considering the Shadow's been loose inside of the Training Hall for some time, I can't tell you the level of the threat inside. You should prepare for the worst." If they were looking for a pat on the back and some comforting words, this wasn't it. Inside of the Training Hall, it was considered a given that your life was on the line, and more than a few pupils had met their end fighting ordinary Demons, simply misjudging their foes. What the team was going to fight, they were all very unfamiliar with, and that was as much a point as it was a danger; they would all have to learn to adapt to a new foe, and if they weren't up for the task, then it didn't end with them giving up their lives. Many more would pay for their weakness, those they'd sworn to protect along the way. Of the four Kuzunoha, at least half of them were steadily employed as Detectives, both real and spiritual. The holders of the names Raidou and Geirin were sworn to investigate Demons who had yet to be named or identified, and were constantly facing unrecognized threats as Demons evolved in their own and threatening ways. This new threat, this unprecedented appearance of Persona Users and Shadows...it was the largest upheaval they'd faced in a long time, but it was also something that they were simply expected to adapt to. If a Kuzunoha couldn't do it, then what hope was there for others who fought to preserve the stability of their nation?
"The entrance to this hall is sealed to all those except for Geirin Kuzunoha himself. Even apprentices would be given small viles, with only a drop of my blood at the time or so. Obviously I've never experienced it, but it certainly sounds like an old and archaic seal. Anyways, it just means I have to open the door. Once I do...make sure you don't fall behind, or you'll be sealed outside." Kai pulled a small dagger from his belt, and knicked his finger as a small amount of blood began to squeeze out on the end of his finger. He reached out and pressed it in the center of the circles, and as he did the gateway didn't visibly change, but it felt like it was open now. They had only to take a step forward and they'd find themselves inside the Training Hall, lined with talismans and long, wooden floors polished to a fine shine. If they took the step forward, of course.

Jo(shu) Michieru Jo(shu) followed Kai obediently, before hearing him remark on both the training (And how it could save their lives).and fighting against something that was...the Enemy of 'every summoner out there.' He wanted to assume that meant a demon, before he made a comment to sealing it. As soon as he asked if anyone had any questions, Shu didn't have time to say a word, before the pistol was shoved into his face. I'm just getting the short end of the stick today. he went over in his head, before hearing that it was some sort of...Shadow. Soemthing that took advantage of a Person's strengths....Getting more powerful based on the individual it was....wait, was it Based off of him? Oi.. he mentally groaned, before hearing that they were going to be guided....and that they'd be doing the heavy lifting. He didn't even dare make a remark to that, knowing he'd just get hit and Chatsized some more. "I'll be on my guard, Geirin." Jo(shu) remarked, palming a tube as he continued in. Dealing with a...'Shadow'.... The concept made his head spin, but it was his job to do what he could. And, hopefully, the other two would be able to handle things as well. He had all of his things prepared, and though he'd been a bit rugged looking, he was prepared to go on the mission for their new foe.

Red "Yo." a voice called, as a figure moved in from the side, tailing Kai and the others. "Just Transferred in..." The figure gestured to Yatsuda, then Jo(shu), Asuka, and then to Geirin Kuzunoha himself. It was rather stunning to meet the man in person. The stories did not exaggerate. Red thought to himsellf, as he walked up. "New foes or Old....As members of the Yatagarsu, it is our duty to protect everyone from the growing supernatural Threat....." He stopped for a bit, before his serious expression lightened up, smiling at the group. "Right?" He'd heard a few stories about Kyouji's apparentice, looking up and down the figure with the top Hat and gloves. There was Asuka 'Miss Kuzunoha' Bokuro...And there was the other guy, with brown hair. Based on how Geirin was handling him, he looked like the new guy. Looked a bit gaunt, but Red could sense an impressive potential through him. "Call me Red." he added lightly, showing a tube off to the others to confirm his status as a summoner. "I'll do what I can to watch your backs, so don't worry....Alright?" He'd do his best to try to keep everyone's mind at ease. The world of summoning was always a scary place for a newbie....And well, he fought more than for personal pride. He did it to protect the weak. And he was going to do everything in his power to ensure that their mission today was a success...With as few casualties as possible.Quote: Red Has Arrived. Asuka Bokuro
Asuka listened with great interest to Kai's briefing, and gulped as she saw the gun shoved into Shu's face, before the new arrival, Red, made himself known. "Red..." Asuka repeated to herself before nodding, "Good to have you with us." She turned toward the now opened gateway and motioned the others to follow, "Come on. Yatsuda, stay close." As Yatsuda had did his best to catch his breath, he paid attention thoroughly to make sure to listen to what the Great Summoner was saying. When he had pointed the gun at Shu, he had winced, all before realizing that someone else had joined in. As he had called himself Red, Yatsuda made a mental note of it to make sure to remember their name, and followed in with Asuka, trying to make sure that he was not left behind. "I am coming." He said as he had caught up with the rest of them, going through the gateway that the Great Summoner had opened.

Geirin Kuzunoha
The atmosphere changed around the group as they walked forward, though the most obvious was the physical transformation. The building was spacious, with pillars lining the walkways, covered in talismans. Ropes were strung along the edges of the hard wood paths, and torches lit the entire area. Outside of the constructed parts, off the beaten path, the floor dropped about a foot and turned to stone. Wherever they were, they were clearly sealed underground, and while there was plenty going on with the decorum, there was also plenty of room to 'dance' as the hardwood opened up into wide rooms where Demons could strike at any time.
"This'd be the entrance hall. Fortunately, there shouldn't be much of a demon presence here." Kai pointed towards the branching pathways, north, east, and west, and south. Normally one would have to pass trials in every direction and then proceed forward, so there were barriers visible in their paths. Red, blue, yellow, and green walls of mist were visible, spiritual barriers each with their own form of trial. "Those barriers are part of the trial required to proceed inside this place. If the creature's not here, you'll each have to disable one of those. I don't have time for you to wrack your pea brains on it, so let me just explain." The current Geirin turned to face the team, pointing towards the Red one to the East, first. "The barriers exist to test your talents as a Summoner. Each one is a different trial, but these ones all have a pretty simple theme. Passage is impossible to humans, but a demon can slip through. Just make sure the Demon you pick is Loyal to you, or it might take off on you; the newer the Demon, the more likely it'll use the opportunity to slip away. On the inside they'll find a levitating stone, which generates the barrier you see. If the demon you send is strong enough, then it's attempt to destroy the barrier may succeed. If the sealing stone is particularly tough though, then the stone may end up KO-ing your Demons, instead. But before you decide to just send your most talented demon, keep in mind that the color of the barrier is there to help. Each coordinates to a particular aspect of a demon; strength, magic power, luck, vitality."
"And one last thing; behind each barrier is a room, inside of which is a mirror generating the barrier that seals off the next level of this Training Hall. The mirror will break with a drop of my blood, so I'm going to give you a bit now. Once your Demon destroys the wall, go inside and finish the job so we can proceed." He turned and pointed at the Red eastern barrier, the Blue northern barrier, the yellow western barrier, and the green barrier to the South-East in turn. The room behind each was identical, but the trial to enter for each was quite different, so they'd have to shown a bit of their own personalities now.
"Our opponent hasn't shown up, so I'm going to guess that he's just a little deeper inside. Remove these barriers, and I think we'll find the threat to Inaba we're looking for. So then, who's taking what?" Kai folded his arms and waited for them to move to position, though he was willing to give them a minute or two to decide which position they'd be taking. Party composition, the Summoner's own strengths, and more came into play when one attempted to overcome a Hall like this, but that was why they were the traditional training grounds of the Summoners. The fact that they were so quiet, and separated from the world, while still filled with spiritually goodies did make them a nesting ground for Demons, but that only made them more preferable for a Summoner to test his skills. Ultimately, if you could make it through one of these though, you were definitely ready for the big leagues. Maybe he'd run these shabby dogs through the whole gauntlet, one day. Quote: ~~Kuzunoha Training Hall, Room 1~~ To the East lies a Red Wall. A Demon with sufficient talents may be able to pass through, and attempt to destroy the Stone generating the barrier...
To the North lies a Blue Wall. A Demon with sufficient talents may be able to pass through, and attempt to destroy the Stone generating the barrier...
To the West lies a Yellow Wall. A Demon with sufficient talents may be able to pass through, and attempt to destroy the Stone generating the barrier...
To the South-East lies a Green Wall. A Demon with sufficient talents may be able to pass through, and attempt to destroy the Stone generating the barrier...

Jo(shu) Michieru Jo(shu) followed along with the others, glancing at the new guy. He could have sworn he'd seen him somewhere before....However, before he could ponder on it, Kai started to explain these barriers that were going on around them. There was a Red one, A Blue One, a Yellow one, and a green one. But which one corresponds to which element... Jo(shu) thought to himself, guessing that red would be strength. Hearing that they were to send a demon through the gates, he stopped. One that's strong enough.....but also loyal.. he thought to himself, pulling out a tube. He paused as he glanced it over, before sliding it back. "Talisa, I require your assistance." Jo(shu) called out, flipping his phone open, and pressing a few buttons. Talisa emerged from the phone quietly, standing at the ready. She'd wisened up to how her summoner acted...though in the current location, she turned. "What do you want?" she remarked, standing ready to fight. Jo(shu) pointed at the Red Door, gesturing. "I need you to go through there." he ordered, quietly. "There should be a floating stone in there...." "Do I try to destroy it? "If you can, that'd be lovely.." he added, waving a hand. The demon turned with her firm resolve, and started through the Red Door, Quote: Jo(shu) has sent Talisa, the False Charmer, Through the Eastern Red Barrier.

Asuka Bokuro
Bouncing off of Shu's choice, Asuka turned to the blue barrier, and removed one of the tubes from her belt. A moment later, her Lilith companion materialized in front of her, "Why hello my mistress, what do you need from me?" "Lilith, I need you to pass through this barrier and destroy the stone you find on the other side." Lilith turned to look at the barrier, before smirking, and proceeding through it. "This could be fun." Quote: Asuka has sent Lilith through the Blue Barrier.

Red Red followed along the others quietly, watching and listening as Kai explained the situation to them further. There were four barriers....and four of them. He pulled his hat down, before glancing around. Strength, Magic, Luck, Vitality.. he thought to himself, before watching as the brown haired figure did a summoning without a tube. Was he an App Summoner? Red reach through his belt, before pulling out a silver tube. "Pendragon.." Red called, conjuring up the bulky, green summon. "I would like you to go through this barrier."Pendragon let out a small snarl, nodding his head. "WhAt...Do...ThEn....MaStEr?"Red nodded quietly, before gesturing towards the barrier. "There should be a levitating stone." he explained, slowly. "I need you to destroy it, alright?""YeSsIr!" the demon called happily, before snaking it's way through the Green Barrier, eager to please it's summoner.Quote: Red Has sent Pendragon through the South-Eastern Green Barrier.. As all the other walls had been taken, Yatsuda had faced the yellow wall and had pulled the tube from within his outfit. Then, after opened the vial and then a misty fog appeared as Yuki-Hime appeared. "Hello, Yatsu. You need some help with something?" "I am sorry to ask you of this, Yuki, but there is a wall here and I need your help to go beyond it and destroy what's inside of it." Yatsuda said to the Yuki-Hime as the demon twirled around to see the area around then faced the yellow wall. "Sure, Yatsu. But can we have some tea afterwards?" "Of course, Yuki. Geirin Kuzunoha
"Focus, this should be the easy part." Each of them seemed content to send a demon in a different direction, and although their summons weren't exactly Physical Gods, they all seemed relatively competent. Each demon passed through their respective barriers, showing they had at least enough talent in their particular fields to surpass the Wall challenges, but next came the stones. There was no need to finish them all at once, but since these guys seemed to be moving in sync, it made his job of ordering them around that much easier.
"Now! Strike, so your Summoners may pass!" Kai thrust his hand in the air as he gave the order to the collective, signalling for each of their loyal demons to act and try to bring down the Walls! The results however, weren't exactly what they were hoping for. Although the stones were vulnerable unlike the walls, they put off a powerful curse that damaged those who tried to destroy them, and so it was a race to see who had the resolve to destroy the stone, and who's demon would simply fall apart on the line. Each stone began to crack as the Demons struck however, showing that they were making a dent, but then it was up to the Summoner to see their Demon's expressions and know when enough was enough for them. There was an advantage to these trials though, hidden buried in the demons of the Summoners. "Remember, if you have to recall one of your demons while attacking the stones, then call another one to take its place or the barrier will recover. These stones emit a powerful curse to repel weak demons, but inside these grounds, when you switch Summons a demon will take the exact place of the former one, allowing you to continue attacking without pause. I'll try to identify when a curse is overwhelming them...now then!"
Kai turned East, towards Jo(shu) and the False Charmer. "That's good. It doesn't look like you're having any trouble at all." The stone was splitting down the center, though the curse spewed back steadily.
With a glance to the North, came a small grin. 'I guess they weren't trained so bad after all. "Make sure your Demon keeps focus. A strong Demon like that just needs to weather the course; her attack will do all the rest." Pieces of the boulder began to rip and push against each other like a spider web, leaving the top face of the rock disfigured.
When he glanced West though, Kai sighed with a bit of disappointment. There were a couple cracks, but it didn't seem as if they'd struck pay dirt just yet. "Come on, it's like you got that demon yesterday! That kind of fighting spirit won't get you far." Kai put a hand to his forehead, sighing again. "This is embarrassing. I'm embarrassed for you."
Finally Kai turned and looked South, where things didn't seem much better, a handful of ridges spread out across the impact points from Pendragon. "You know Red, if you want to quit, we've got plenty of openings in the Janitorial Department, so you can clean up your s**t performance. That demon looks like it's under a lot of stress." Quote: ~~Kuzunoha Training Hall, Room 1~~ In order to remove the Walls, the Summoner's Demons must attack the stones creating them. However, the stones will damage the Demons in turn. A demon's level, along with certain other attributes, will determine how quickly the stone cracks. Unloyal demons may flee, while a Demon fainting will restore the stone to normal. Choose to either Attack (attempt to destroy the stone), Switch Demons (to avoid fainting or having Demons leave), or Quit (All progress on the stone will be reset. However, if your Demon may faint and you have no extras, it is a way to preserve your strength for later.)
Red Wall > Switch Demons > Continue Attacking Stone > Quit
Blue Wall > Switch Demons > Continue Attacking Stone > Quit
Yellow Wall > Switch Demons > Continue Attacking Stone > Quit
Green Wall > Switch Demons > Continue Attacking Stone > Quit
