There was a sort of buzz in the air as they walked
towards the building meant to house the teens.
Having only been in the dorm a short couple of hours
ago it felt as if he were getting in an early day.
Like school had let out and the rest of the afternoon
you had free to do whatever you wanted. Chieko
walked with a bit of lax in his step. An accomplishment
or perhaps just a giddy thrill for the time off. Whatever the
case was Chieko felt satisfied with the day so far. It had
started out like any other one but so very quickly had it
escalated into something exciting. Ko looked over at Sam
with a side long glance, their feet falling in time together.
It was one spontaneous event after the other with this kid.
It made him wonder if this was a natural occurrence. For
those who were always close to the Chibi. To be inevitably
whisked through a series of strange encounters.
An simple question that turned shortly after into a secret and
intimate situation. The red head reached up and rubbed at his
cheek at the thought. Why was it bothering him so much? It was
just a kiss of friendly terms,
With someone I barely know
whatsoever. he reasoned with himself. Ko could
ask himself for hours why he was so ruffled up but for now
the teen blamed it on the fact that it had been random, unprepared
for.
Chieko laughed at Sam's response. He'd forgotten where his
dorm was? It was so like the lil Chibi that the red head only
continued to smile about it.
"Your a goof Sammy
boy. " he teased, looking up at the building itself as the
paced across the ground towards it.
"But third
floor huh?" it was more of a confirmation then a question.
Was this the reason why he hadn't seen the brunet this morning
when classes were about to start? They could of passed right
by each other..maybe without having even realized it.
With little difficulty the taller had navigated his way towards his
shared bedroom. A sort of oasis that was luckily lacking a
roommate at the moment. Chieko felt a little better that Sam didn't
mind his sometimes sloppy behavior but he was a bit anxious.
Should he have just taken the brunet to the computer lab or the
garden? Sam looked nervous, he could see it from the side glances
given in between getting comfortable on his own bed.
Those deep red cheeks, fingers fidgeting and toes nudging the
carpet in a way that would have girls fawning over its
cute factor. The taller bit his lower lip. Was this a bad idea after all..
had he gotten to comfortable around Sam.
As he lay breathing into his comforter Chieko decided upon taking
the offer back. Asking whether or not the brunet wanted to just go
back to the next class. But as he opened his mouth to do so the
teen was left surprised. A small weight pressed into the edge of the
mattress.
It was hesitant at first, but the rest was soon to follow. Ko didn't
dare move a muscle as Sam lay back onto the bed along side the
red head lest he make the timid kiddo nervous and retreat again.
So he kept his face buried in the fluffy blanket until the movement
stopped. Though that only left room for an awkward sort of quiet.
A tense one that hung heavily over Ko's shoulders. This time, he
had no nifty conversation starters. It was a bit of a relief to the
suddenly bashful red head that his new friend was able to
speak first.
"Yea." he mumbled, tilting
his head just enough to reveal one of his muddy green hues.
He felt a flush of red flare on his pinked cheeks at the soft
touch on his arm once Sam had turned onto his side.
"I..Don't know." he answered shortly, tracing
Sam's hand with his gaze as he reached back up to ruffle his hair again.
This time Chieko didn't close his eyes but instead studied the chibi's face.
Blinking slowly like one might when overly relaxed. Someone had
finally found the obnoxious nerd's off button obviously. Wouldn't the
head of the Inoue family be proud?
If dad ever found out about
this, he'd tease me for years. the boy thought with a
light smile at Sam's apology.
"Oh..thats ok." a soft assurance. As he spoke
Chieko placed his hand over Sam's own.
Holding it in place while the red head were to shift into a position that mimicked his friends closely. Ko tapped his fingers on the others for a moment, stifling a yawn. Staying up late to play a game while
your roommate slept blissfully wasn't always the best idea apparently.
"We could play Take or Pass. Its really easy."it would be a great chance to learn something about his new friend.
It was a question game. You asked a question and they answered, but
if they wanted they were allotted to skip. Though that would mean
that they would loose a turn by being asked a different question.
A very old fashioned thing that had been popular at girly slumber
parties when the boy was younger.
