VANYA LARIONOV ▇ ▆ ▅ ▂ ▁ [ Ваня Ларионов ]location:: Geography Classroom with:: Rei Hamijo, Noah Snow, etcetera Life every man holds dear;
but the dear man holds ℌonor far more precious dear than life. William Shakespeare
• • • [ Well, the students were being students. Vanya didn't care all that much. They had their own way of doing their work. Usually he didn't bother with students unless they were trouble in class or if he noticed issues in their grades. "We'll be reading the first chapter on page twenty-seven. It's not required to take notes for today because it's just a basic chapter. We will be going more in depth on what is mentioned as we continue through the book. There are some points to make note of..." he went on to sum up the chapter in just a few words. He mentioned a few terms that they would expand on later.
He liked keeping it short and sweat. Most students didn't aim to become geologists so he just taught what he thought important for the class. Any time he summed up the chapter, it was word for word something that would be included in any future tests or quizzes. Though some students didn't pay attention, those who have heard of or looked up anything on his class before made sure to note down what he said. If someone was curious about learning more, he would answer whatever questions they had. Usually when he taught a presentation, that was when he really taught what interested him. It was something to listen to, not take notes on. When he taught from the book, he mentioned what was required for him to teach. That was the important stuff to make note of. It was fine on the first day though.
He didn't speak for long and finished quickly. "You may spend the rest of the class doing other work. If you have to talk, be quiet. If you have any questions or problems feel free to come up and ask" he said. He was okay with them making small chat with their neighbors as long as they weren't loud and got him in trouble. It was good to have someone they knew in a class. Vanya went back to his desk and sat himself down. He took out the papers from another class that he needed to check. As he graded, only a few students came up to ask him something. It's not like he made anything difficult to understand. He was quite forward and clear. Usually it was questions from the reading. ] • • • The greatest way to live with ℌonor in this world
is to be what we pretend to be. Socrates
