Fine desert dust, touched by the moon's light stirred in the night breeze. It kissed his nostrils, and with a sneeze he started up in the white sand.

The inky black glass of the oasis's surface greeted him, reflecting only the silver moon and a dark, dainty muzzle illuminated by the lunar rays. Lavender eyes glowed in that darkness, compelling him closer ... And he knew, the moment he found those bewitching orbs taking him in from the water's edge—
