Corridor of Love

A corridor that was turned into a romantic date spot. The Ceiling has a display of the night sky above, a fire place and several romantic set ups, ranging from an enchanted pond at one end to gentle violin music playing from nowhere.

spaceDrusilla Somerset, professor of Divination, wandered the Corridor of Love with a dazed, amused look on her face, her eyes bright as she eyed the decorations. It was quite lovely, really; so quaint. A single corridor, separated into various romantic sets, like several plays were going on at once, and each of them was a romance. She twirled and spun as she walked, almost dancing, her body loose, like a ragdoll or a marionette. If only someone held the strings; Dru's thoughts drifted to the oh, so lovely Amber Denier, who sparkled like the stars and had eyes like a cat's. She rather liked Amber; the woman was a puzzle and Dru was determined to solve it. She thought that they might've been housemates once upon a time, only a couple years between them, but she couldn't be sure. Her time had Hogwarts had been rather off, after all. She'd barely had the ability to focus on her studies, let alone the other students. No friends, no friends, no romances for her, she thought, a pout forming on her face. But, she was better now, so much better. Perhaps the lovely professor could be enticed to dance with her tonight? Oh, but she wasn't in the proper place to dance, now was she? But then, there was music playing, lovely music echoing down the hallway... she pirouetted like a ballerina, stumbling a little as she did so, giggles erupting from her. Tonight was going to be such fun!

A Kingdom of Isolation, and it looks like I’m the Queen. The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside...

Iris didn't want to be here. She didn't want to be out in public with... people in general, really. But her aunt wouldn't let her stay tucked up in her dorm all night with a Ball going on. Ugh... That woman... Sometimes, she was just too much for Iris to handle. So, after an afternoon of picking and plucking at her, Akira finally got Iris to get ready. A dress much nicer than she ever wanted to wear was forced upon her, along with a pair of black heels. Aside from her vibrant red hair, Iris looked like something out of a black and white photograph. The monochrome look... She kinda like it.

Akira could stuff her in a dress and force her to go to the Ball, but she couldn't make her have a good time. Nope. The ballroom was crowded with couples acting all cute and stuff, leaving Iris to roam to her heart's content. The redhead wandered to a corridor that looked abandoned. Stepping into it, she gazed in awe at the sets around her. They were all for the couples, she guessed. The ceiling had been charmed to look like the night sky, imaginary stars twinkling above her in a midnight blue abyss. It was beautiful, she thought.

However, as she continued down the corridor, Iris found that she wasn't alone. There was a strange giggling coming from further down the hall. Curious, the girl went to investigate. She crept down the hall, finding a woman twirling around and laughing to herself. Iris blinked a few times, obviously confused. Was she drunk or something? Should she ask if she was alright? Well... Maybe she was a professor? That was a logical assumption. Iris didn't think the Hogwarts staff would let some random drunk lady into the castle, especially on a night when a lot of the students would be out late in the ballroom or wandering around like she was. Hmm. The girl shrugged and continued down the corridor, wishing she had brought her sketchpad with her. Some of these scenes were just too beautiful not to be drawn.

Don’t let them in. Don’t let them see. Be the good girl you always have to be. Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know...
